Bought my first home and unfortunately this company did an 11K plumbing/drainage repair on the home for the prior owner weeks before we purchased. Had to call them for necessary paperwork regarding a hydrostatic test for my foundation warranty. (PermaPier who had repaired the foundation only had the original hydrostatic test where the house failed.) So today I called them to secure any sort of evidence that the drainage system on the house had passed. 1st they told me they didn't have a record of that. Then the woman who answered the phone started saying, "We didn't fail anything." Baffling. After 20 minutes of talking in circles, I realized I had entered the Twilight Zone. Finally, after repeating myself in five different ways they started talking about a green piece of paper. And yes, this is what I was asking for. Hope grew in me. The contractor, who had been yelling in the background throughout the conversation, decided the plumber they contracted had "the green slip" and that they would get it for me. I was getting closer!!!! Then they called back 5 min later and gave me the general phone number to the city of San Antonio? wth? This is when I lost it. The reason this company was hired was b/c of a failed hydrostatic test. Wouldn't you think they would have a copy of evidence that the house drainage now passes? Truly one of the worst and weirdest customer service experiences of my life. With regards to the work they did so far I have to dig out an entire side of my house b/c they placed a pipe so shallow that there is now dirt piled up onto the siding of my house. In Texas that is a termite risk. If the pipe had been dug to a correct depth the dirt would cover the slab foundation only i.e. no termite risk. Spare yourself the agony of having to deal with these people. Or for entertainment go for it!

Krista created a practical project plan tailored to my vision for the future of the property. She explained all aspects fully and responded quickly to multiple contacts from me to ask additional questions. Most of my questions were to compare materials and methods between my top two candidates for the project. I discovered that the items that made the other bid more expensive really made the job easier for their crew, but did not provide greater value to me. I had two crews for my project working inside, placing 7 piers, and outside, placing 18 piers. All the crew members were very quiet, polite and kept things very clean throughout the two days. I appreciate all the hard work done by Chris, Christopher, Justin, Glenn, and Dariun. Jairo, John, Michael, Antonio, Alejandro, and Humberto took extra care to keep everything progressing smoothly while responding to my questions or concerns. I did end up having some plumbing issues that were caused by the foundation lift. This was explained to me in detail before the project. The damage occurred during the lift and not during the preparations by Risen. I was so glad that I had chosen Risen, as I still had funds left for all subsequent repairs. 5-stars!

Expecting the worst, I contacted Vantage for a consultation based on on their 5-star review on Yelp. It was more the content and context of the reviews that convinced me they were the right contractor for the job. I called once on a Monday and immediately got through to Derk. He said he'll have James come by on Wednesday to come take a look at the house. No waiting. No phone tag. No answering machines. Got through to a person and was immediately scheduled for a consultation. Two days later, James came by. Completed a thorough inspection of our home, which is on a pier & beam. Used a leveling rolley tool and inspected all the rooms. Went outside and put on his Ghostbuster suit, and jumped right in, or rather, jumped underneath our home. 15-20 minutes later, he made a few recommendations, none of which were any hard sells. Basically James told us it's a moisture issue, and to get vents installed underneath our house to dry the soil. That should fix most of the problem. After the soil is dry, call them back if we notice anymore shifting. Again, no hard sell. No doom and gloom scenario, which I was expecting, after hearing horrible horror stories from friends about foundation contractors. James and Vantage foundation are not like the others. And if you had the pleasure of living in a much older home, you know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to shady contractors. You won't get that with Vantage. Instead, you will get honesty and the best customer service around with immediate callbacks and prompt scheduling. In conclusion, we are going to install vents first to let our soil dry and then call them back. I will certainly be recommending Vantage to all my friends and family for their stellar customer service, knowledge, and integrity.

The bedroom section of our home slants downward with our wooden floors bulging in some areas and causing crackling noises like never before. We hired this company because of favorable reviews but now realize you can't always count on this. We felt our home should have been professionally leveled, it makes no sense whatsoever adding new concrete piers on a totally unleveled structure. Even the engineer hired to do the final inspection overlooked the fact that there were two concrete piers missing from the intended amount. So much for professionalism.

When contractors gave…read moreus estimates to repair it a 3rd time, they told us there would be no warranty on their work, because it was likely that frame movement resulted in the cracking... and that the root cause could be a foundation problem. They suggested we have it looked at. I spent some time looking at reviews of foundation companies, and settled on Bats. When I called, I was asked a few questions about my issue, and an appointment time was set with Calvin Burnett for about a week later. Calvin called ahead because he was running early the day of the appointment. He spent over an hour inspecting our home inside and out. He took precise measurements from a high point on our floor, and at points throughout our home. When he was done, he explained what he found, which was that the foundation measurements were within specification. He sent a report including a map of our home with the measurements later that same day. There was no charge for this, and Bats will keep the data in their records for comparison if the need arises in the future. Both the person I spoke with over the phone and Calvin were professional and helpful. There was no obligation or charge for the excellent service we received. I highly recommend this business for their honesty and professionalism.

I had a terrible experience with Done Right Foundation Repair (formerly Done Rite Foundation)…read more They came out and worked on my foundation in 2019. A few years later (2022) I was noticing some minor cracks, not too bad but I brought it to their attention. I spoke to Chris on the phone who had a bit of an aggressive and condescending tone, and was blaming me for not "maintaining the soil" around the house. Since the cracks weren't too bad, I decided to let it go... It didn't seem worth it to have to deal with him. A few years later (2025) I had some sudden bigger cracks happening. So I called back. I was corresponding with both Chris and Mason who continued to tell me that I did not maintain the soil and that's why I was having so many cracks and it wouldn't be covered under the warranty. I explained that I believed I did everything I was supposed to do. I have an irrigation system, and I installed gutters and french drains as recommended by a 3rd party engineer. They continued to argue with me and continued to say that it was my fault. Then they told me that they would send an estimate to repair the foundation (again). As I was waiting to get the estimate for work that I felt should have been under their warranty I decided to get some other quotes. I called a few places (who were all very professional and responsive) and got a couple more quotes. (Also, just a note, my house shifted approximately 3 inches on one side.) I had to request the estimate a couple of times from Done Right and when I got it, it was much higher than the other quotes that I got. Obviously I decided to go with another company. I also was happy to not have to deal with Chris or Mason again. I've never dealt with more unprofessional people in my life. When the other company came out and started the work, I received a couple of abrasive emails from Chris and Mason accusing me of "poking the bear" by asking for an estimate when I already had "ulterior motives for who knows how long" by going with another company. It was crazy! AND he took pictures of the other company working on my foundation and sent them in the email. Were they watching my house??? He also said the company I hired did terrible work and threatened to report me to code compliance because they weren't doing the work with the proper permits. The company that I went with has been SO LEGIT and PROFESSIONAL and so far, has been a great experience.... The last email exchanges were just laughable. After blaming me for not maintaining the soil, they then said that I didn't even have a warranty because I never transferred the warranty when I bought the house. Ummmmm..... I owned the house for 8 years before they came and worked on the foundation and I still own the house. There was no transfer of ownership. They just did not want to honor the warranty and they were going to find a way out of it. They told me they "tried their best to work with me but I chose to be difficult." The point is moot because I wouldn't want them anywhere near me or my house and I'm still VERY creeped out that they were taking pictures of the other company working at my house. *** One more note: Done Right Foundation Repair, LLC is NOT a BBB Accredited Business as they state on their profile.
