When I visited, it was midweek during school hours so I can't comment on how busy it gets, but it had a chill vibe, plenty of parking, but trash and empty bottles were everywhere.

Unfortunately there are no posted rules so you get the following:…read more 1.) dogs running loose with their owners 2.) parents allowing their kids (under the age of 10) free roam the advanced section like it's a playground 3.) people using motorized wheels in the park (for example one wheels) Until the city steps in and does something the park is basically un-skateable unless you go early in the morning (8 AM) or late at night (10 PM). Parents reading these reviews... I cannot stress this enough. This is NOT a playground. This is an advanced course for extreme wheel sports. This is not the place to let your 6 year old roll around on their new $20 3-wheeled scooter that is not intended to be used at a skatepark. Until your kids learn how to share, understand the flow of traffic, and have proper equipment... this is not the place to bring them. Take them to a smaller skatepark with less traffic and less advanced obstacles, teach them flow of traffic and the concept of turn based runs. It's only a matter of time until a child gets seriously hurt at this skate park due to irresponsible parents and an innocent, responsible individual enjoying the park gets sued because of it.

The park is nearly two miles away from downtown garland but not far away the heart of the garland folks. Now this is my first time at a skating park and I was not disappointed. Sure there were some lack of rules but it surely didn't change my nor my nephews experience of having a great time. Let alone it was more of a learning pleasure to have taught him the rights and wrongs of a skate park. Remember y'all a skate park isn't just rainbows and sunshine, if you seen any televised stories about them chances are its almost true. Don't be startled by the fear of discomfort, remember everyone there is looking for the same thing, a place to belong. The skatepark itself has an awesome street section that beginners and pros can shred on. I also like that you can get a decent line going here and it has a nice flow. If you're into skating transition, they have a couple bowls that look fun to carve. A couple negatives: the street section can get a little busy if more than a couple people are skating and the scooter kid pandemic is real here.

I really appreciate the near 360° gate coverage that assures little kids can't wander off. However it is only 3 feet or so high so bigger kids hopped back and forth as needed to catch flying footballs. The single pavilion provides a shaded space for parents to relax or have a picnic but this area does fill up quickly and there wasn't much other shade mid day. Be advised there are no permanent restrooms. Although there are three port-a potties near the park. Recommend bringing any sanitation you may need as there was no soap and port-a potty situations are more challenging for small children.

Passing this park on an out-of-the-way side street for the last two years, I noticed a "workout area" towards the entrance to the park. I made a mental note to stop and check it out but, never did until today. I usually work out daily at the recreation center but, recently due to Omnicron, I've been looking for an interesting outside place to get some exercise. I remembered passing this place and decided to check it out. On pulling up I was initially disappointed. I guess I thought the structure should be bigger, more interesting, more challenging! then I started using it. Bam!!! Hello! I thought I was in decent shape for my age but, boy was I wrong. I couldn't even make it through a few exercises on this "adult playground"!!!! It just shows you can't judge a book by its cover or make assumptions. You have to Do It. this great little outdoor gym known as the Miracle is just that. In a fairly small area, several exercises are demonstrated via placard if you need them. It will wear you out, challenge you in ways you didn't anticipate. I'm so glad I found this outdoor place to exercise in the fresh air at this time. I feel I'm getting a type of physical challenge that I didn't inside a gym. Definite Go!
