Looking to get some miles in, across the mini waterfall there is a longer trail that has room for a run. However, having always had something special going for it,the north Texas growth has breathed new life into this 10 square mile area formerly " historic" McKinney. This little lake created by forward thinking city planners is more and more a community gathering point. Just to the west is a full blown Frisbee golf course, hiking/biking trails and more. I just discovered a new addition today. A lighted walk,with music,to enjoy after dark I'll be back.

Very well maintained park , nice concrete pathway for walking & jogging. Saw many people who came early morning for fishing. It's a huge layout so didn't feel rushed every one was enjoying walking or jogging at their own pace. Ample seats for taking breaks or enjoying nature. Loved the vibe here all locals coming for walks , children enjoying parks & slides , enjoyed watching birds, turtles, fishes. There is ample parking place around the park & very well connected to all the local roads & highways.

This is a great area for running, hiking and/or biking also. The garden connects to nearby trails and parks as well. Or just come by to admire/take some pics and download an app to hear audio on the history behind each sculpture! The fountains are beautiful as well and there was lots of greenery, flowers, beautiful landscape. Tons of coffee shops/beverage spots nearby to grab a sip or bite to eat too before moseying around. This place is really cool…read more We drove 45 minutes to get here and we definitely looked lost. A kind gentleman on a bike helped us out. There is a trail at first for the bikes and hikers and than it splits. Hikers go to the left, bikers to the right. Just be aware of each other and all is good. Hikers make sure to step aside for the bikers, harder for them to slow down and pick up their momentum again. Seeing how this was my first hike and I'm a big girl who lost some weight, I did the littlest trail first. Only took me 25 minutes. Worked out my heart though. They also have a place where kids could do bikes on hills. Does that make sense lol Cool place over all ! Will be back.

There's lots of open spaces and a creek nearby as well. Public restrooms and water fountains are nearby so that's convenient. there's also street parking available or sometimes even the little church community center parking if they don't have an even. there's a bike/walk trail - the Chisholm trail - that goes down alongside the creek and under the streets and comes all the way back around if you want to go for a stroll. lots of people picnic or come see the ducks, turtles, beavers that live in the creek. you can hear the busy streets around, but it's far enough away that it's not a concern. overall nice little city park.
