There are tons of parks all throughout DFW to get your long run on. If you are up north in suburbia and are looking for a place to get your miles in, I highly recommend coming here! It's nice and peaceful and quiet plus safe and options for potty breaks in the area. The trails are beautiful and well kept and the residents are friendly! I recommend parking in the main park area where they have designated the public to park and start your run from there. Great sunrise views off of the creek and you can run throughout the neighborhood trails since it goes around the city. It's fairly flat but there are some opportunities for elevation if you venture out. If you are just looking for a safe park/playground you may bring the fam here too and I do think there is a pavilion. According to the map, it looks like it goes far south into Plano. Very quiet. Only saw a couple families walking, jogging, and riding bikes. We did come on a Friday morning though. It hasn't rained in awhile so the creeks are low. All paved, a couple bridges. I saw some wildlife too: squirrels, hawks, and egrets. We came in January so all the leaves had fallen off trees. I bet it is a sight to see during spring when everything blossoms. However, I imagine it being very hot during summer since there is no coverage throughout the path. Overall, nice, paved trail. Extremely well maintained.

Not the best place to skate however it is a spot but gets very crowded as there is not much space to roll around. Maybe they should throw in some seating benches closer by as skater homies kept sitting on the bench I was trying to skate. Chill spot for beginners but most of the skate park is a bit run down. Atleast it's something. Could be made better though. The kids park right next to it did get a really good update compared to years ago.

Today while I was at the park there was a vibrancy that was contagious. It brought the Chicago song, Saturday In The Park to mind, but I am still looking for the man selling Ice Cream! He is probably here, I just have not found him yet! Of course I have not made to the Food Truck section yet, and THAT is probably where he is at... So far I have seen people playing life-size Chess, kids playing in a dancing fountain, venders selling goods, authors selling books, people playing ping pong, and "a man playing guitar singing for us all!"

I will say the playground's pretty chaotic at times. Bunch of brats unsupervised being annoying. Saw this kid helping her little sister up one of the climbing net structures with a slide midway up and the kid was telling another kid to move so her little sister can get by. Now I get it if the other kid was just parked there not moving but the kid was moving but maybe not at the pace the brat wanted. To me, seems like a you problem and someone didn't tell her the world didn't revolve around her and her little sister. Was at another part of the playground and noticed a mom suddenly started yelling obscenities because she lost her son. She was just sitting at a bench I guess closer to her other 2 kiddos. Um newsflash. If you can't handle 3 kids, your poor choices don't need to infect other people trying to enjoy their time there. She eventually found her son but yet another story of someone who thinks the world revolves around themselves.

Nice big park with lots of recreational areas, lots of trees, walking distance to the lake's…read moretrails, 4 ball diamonds, 2 football/soccer fields, playground, restrooms, water fountains, lots of parking, tennis court up on the hill with an adjoining roller hockey court and easy access! My last trip here was for a 5K. This is where it was set up to start and finish. Lots of room for the thousands attending.
