This place is really one of the best spots to take a short stroll on a date, take your kids on a…read morewalk, or just sit and hang out. There is a fountain in the middle of a pond that is quite relaxing to listen to. The area is a nice and safe area so you don't have to worry about this either. It's located behind the shops at Legacy and the Marriott. It seems like a nice place to come to after you shop or eat at the shops. The ambience is relaxing and there is plenty of parking in the area, too. I love how clean it is and the water doesn't smell or anything. This place is well kept and you can tell. I can't wait to have date night here when this pandemic is over!

I'll note up front that this review is for the Stewart Creek Shoreline Trail. The parking for the…read moretrailhead is just before the pay-gate to enter the rest of Stewart Creek Park. We did not venture further in, so I cannot comment on the facilities there. The shoreline trail runs back between the subdivisions and the lake, away from the park. I think you could just walk across the road and access a connecting trail that leads into the park; however, you might have to pay an admission fee even a a pedestrian. I do not know. We just followed the shoreline for a mile or so. The scenery is sometimes pretty along the lake and some of the homes / back yards can be interesting as well. We passed several individuals and groups during our walk. The trail is not secluded (often passing groups of homes) and seemed quite safe. If you are in the area and want to take a walk away from the traffic, this is a good budget choice.

The bost ramp is nice and located near the entrance. The restrooms are easy to access. The picnic tables and grills are conveniently located together and close to the water. I discovered this park after joining Plano Pacers last night and seeing that this is our monthly location for 5k races. I walked over to check out the course prior to Saturdays race. I loved everything about it! It's truly beautiful in every sense of the word. What I can say, is on a very hot TX day the park itself (not Legacy trail) didn't seem to have a ton of tree coverage. You'll definitely want a wide brim hat and some sunscreen. The paths, wild flowers, lake, creek, trees, birds, bunnies and so on were all very lovely. I've been running a ton of routes since relocating to the neighborhood and I'm always thankful to find new paths to incorporate in, seeing as though I'm a distance runner and have been trying to put together some ideas for various different mileage options from my doorstep. I was very accustomed to an out and back in my previous city that I could easily get over 20 miles on and have been looking to somehow recreate a similar very straight forward route like that. I will most definitely be looping Windhaven Meadows Park and Legacy Trail into my runs. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gorgeous peaceful place to walk and relax. My husband and I came here for a weekend trek, and it's easily one of the best outdoor spots in North Texas. What I love most is the versatility. Whether you're looking for a smooth, paved stroll or want to get your boots a little dusty on the dirt hiking trails, they've got you covered. It's a great mix of elevation and flat stretches. It's a great spot for everyone. Pets are welcome (on leashes!), and there is a fantastic playground near the parking lot--perfect for kiddos who still have energy to burn after a hike. You'll see a beautiful variety of plants and likely some local wildlife. Just a heads-up: they do have warning signs posted for snakes and poison ivy, so definitely keep an eye on your surroundings while you explore. The parking lot is huge, but this place is popular! We arrived around 1:00 PM and it was nearly at capacity. We were lucky to snag a stall, but I'd definitely recommend arriving earlier in the morning if you want to avoid the parking hunt.

The whole thing is fenced except the entrance but that's where most parents sat while their kids played. The bathrooms are large and clean. There's two restrooms both are family bathrooms. The only downside of the park is that the slides are fast and tossed my 22 month old around and the ropes on the netting is spaced fairly wide so his little feet slipped through but there is an additional net outside the so things can't fall through and those helped him get along. We will come back for sure!

This is a great area for running, hiking and/or biking also. The garden connects to nearby trails and parks as well. Or just come by to admire/take some pics and download an app to hear audio on the history behind each sculpture! The fountains are beautiful as well and there was lots of greenery, flowers, beautiful landscape. Tons of coffee shops/beverage spots nearby to grab a sip or bite to eat too before moseying around. Since I came here for a workout did not venture inside but plan on checking out the indoor sculptures as well! Come enjoy some culture and expand your mind. You will be so glad that you did.

They also had a sand box with a manual excavator that slightly older (5+) kids could play with and the variety of slides, climbing bars, and swings were nice for all different ages. The grass around the playground was well kept so the kids ran around playing tag and hide-and-seek with no problem. Lots of parking and a community pool is attached to this playground. It does say something about HOA so I'm not sure what they require for you to enjoy this amenity but it looked pretty nice, too.

This is a great park with large open spaces and plenty of sports fields (football with posts,…read moresoccer, baseball). The playground is not on par with some of the others in Frisco parks, but is nice and new. There is also a nice bathroom right next to the playground area. It is near some large powerlines but not that close. There is also a dog park nearby. It is kind of tucked away and not very crowded so let's keep it that way! There is plenty of parking and as long as the fields are not reserved, you can use them.
