Contacting Jeannie was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my wedding. I was in dire need for a multi-lingual MC for my English speaking friends, Mandarin Chinese speaking family and Cantonese speaking in-laws. Jeannie assured me she could do all three and even then I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but she made it amazing. The reception never had a moment's awkwardness and yet she managed to let everyone understand what exactly was going on. She highlighted the points of every speech well and managed the timing and events of the reception beautifully. As a bride, I had feared the reception would be awkward with no one utilizing the dance floor or socializing. Jeannie is awesome! I feel very fortunate to have met her. She was very easy to work with and she was extremely knowledgeable about pricing and details. She also has an amazing memory. Not sure how she remembers everything because I certainly didn't at the meeting with our venue. I was originally looking for a multi-lingual MC/Coordinator for our wedding - English /Cantonese /Mandarin. I was thinking wedding stuff should be simple. However, with my wife and my busy schedule, and my lack of knowledge of weddings, we found everything becoming difficult. After meeting Jeannie, we have realized all the stuff we overlooked. So luckily she was free to be our wedding planner. As our wedding planner she was wonderful. She sent us a variety of vendors to choose from. She was very professional and was able to give us her experiences with the vendors. She understood our schedules were very busy with work and she was able to work around it. She didn't pressure us, and we feel relieved after each time we met with her. In fact, she calls us up to meet up since I am forgetful. Whenever we had a question she always answers promptly. She was basically our in between person for contacting vendors. And she made such wonderful suggestions for the wedding. Allegro was able to take care of our slide show, program design, and place card design. They made a huge chart with our guests name and a table chart to make things a lot easier for our guests. This was very helpful since my wife and I are usually busy with work. Things were just going too slow by ourselves, so with Allegro, we were able to meet our wedding date with no problems. And I feel they did excellent work in customizing to our preferences. We didn't meet the staff of Allegro until our big day. We trusted Jeannie and her team on running the show. We booked Allegro Event for our wedding reception on 8/6/16 for the MC&DJ service and everything went smoothly! *Pre-event: Jeannie was actually referred to by our photographer since we needed an MC that spoke English and Cantonese fluently. We wanted someone who was organized and can create a great atmosphere so that both our guests and our families can have fun. We had a great impression of Jeannie even before we met her because she was extremely prompt in her communication and always answered things in completion. Also the quote she quoted us was flat, no taxes or service fees, everything was upfront and easy. We met twice before the actually event, one as a consultation and one to create a timeline of events. Both times Jeannie were on time and accommodated our location (we live down in OC). She also coordinated all the music selection for the DJ before the event. *Event day: Jeannie and Adrian (our DJ) both showed up early to the venue to set up and make sure everything would go smoothly. MC- Jeannie was top notch, she knew exactly how to get the crowd going and break the ice. None of her jokes were corny and she remembered exactly everything that we asked her to announce. Our crowd loved her!!! Our friends thought she was a friend of ours because she blended in with the crowd (which is a GREAT thing) and never made herself the center of attention. When our parents realized she was Wasabi from 1430 their minds were blown, lol! DJ- We didn't meet Adrian the day of but he had all the music we requested ready and everything played at times we asked. Everything went good but once the dance floor opened... it was even BETTER. Adrian kept the dance floor open for over an hour and played music that everyone was able to dance to without the songs being inappropriate. After Jeannie left, he even substitute as the MC and made a couple announcements for us. If you are looking for affordable and professional entertainment for your reception, I will highly recommend Jeannie and Adrian. It had almost been a year since our wedding at Universal Hilton, and my husband and I still couldn't forget what a great job Jeannie, Jonsen, and Stan had done for our wedding. We started off looking for a Cantonese/English bilingual MC. Jeannie was very professional, nice and extremely easy to work with. She provided us with a lot of information on how weddings were done these days, from the very traditional details to weddings with a modern touch. She spent time patiently with us to answer our questions and went through the wedding timeline: what games might be appropriate, music selections, speech suggestions, etc.. before the wedding and she was super supportive throughout our stressful planning time. During that time, we were also looking for an officiant and DJ. Jeannie offered to help us to be our officiant, and she went through the process to get certified to be an officiant for us! She also recommended Jonsen to be our DJ. Jonsen was also very easy to work with, and he accommodated our needs as much as possible, such as helping us on getting a projector, screen and lighting. He and his brother, Stan, did an awesome job on the day. The music went through smoothly during the ceremony and reception, and the music selection for our games was fantastic. Jeannie, Jonsen, and Stan coordinated well on the day and saved us a lot of worries. We also received a lot of good comments from our guests about how great they felt during our wedding and how much fun they had at our wedding. Our guests absolutely liked this team! All in all, Allegro was a great team to work with and was a vendor full of conscience. Price was reasonable, and people were super nice and easy to work along with. Smiles were always on their faces. Among all of the vendors we used for our wedding, Allegro definitely did the best job and made our experience very memorable: all promises were kept, which is very important, as some of you might have noticed from your own experience - once you signed the contract some vendors would become another person and would always say: I'm sorry; I think you may have misunderstood....I never recall saying that....blah blah blah. Jeannie just MC'd and DJ'd our wedding this past Saturday 06-14-14 and we're sooooooo very grateful for her and her team!! First, we didn't have a wedding coordinator so Jeannie was kind enough to help us coordinate our ceremony. She met with us before to make sure she got the names of the family introduction correct and help us with our music!!! She helped mix our first dance song and add in last minute changes to our music requests! That's surely going out of her way to help us out. I remember when my fiancé, now husband, was freaking out because our wedding was in 2 months and we were no where close to being done! I was looking for a fluent Cantonese/English speaking MC for my dinner reception in the San Gabriel Valley area. I would have gone with a westernize MC but both my wife and I were trying to accommodate our parents' wishes and traditional values. We finally came across Allegro Event Inc and luckily they were available for our wedding date. We setup a face-to-face meeting to make sure that Allegro was exactly was we were looking for. After my (husband) first meeting with Jeannie, I was impress with her work ethic and operation. Jeannie was very detail in her work and laid out me an initial timeline of the dinner reception. Given the amount of things we covered from this first meeting, I immediately ask her for to send the contract so we can book her to MC our dinner reception.
