Allegiance HVAC is a dishonest company and would avoid using them if at all possible. This company was dispatched by American Home Shield to look at our AC not cooling the upper level of our home. I've never had such a negative experience with an HVAC company. The tech came over 3 hours after the scheduled window and had to come back. He returned 3 days later and spent several hours looking at our system, spent an excessive amount of time trying to install a smart thermostat that he claimed to be defective, he added leak seal and refrigerant without consulting us first or informing us the cost. We were shocked by the bill, $400 in refrigerant that we didn't want and $25 for a thermostat that he didn't install. Our upper floor still does not cool. We had someone else come out and found that Allegiance never opened or cleaned out the AC back panel, leak seal was meant for small leaks (not 5lbs of lost refrigerant), additional wiring needed for the thermostat, recommendation to look into damper rebalance or additional blower to upper floor. read more

I had my furnace replaced by allegiance and the technician did not reconnect the condensate pump with also controls the condensation of my air conditioning. My air conditioning and pump are both in the attack of my house in the same general area. Due to the pump not being reconnected after the new furnace install, water leaked through my ceiling causing a crack, eventually resulting in a big hole in my ceiling. When I called to inform them of the damage done to my ceiling, the office staff continued to tell me it wasn't their fault and they the pump had to have been disconnected by someone else. Obviously I did not have this issue before by furnace was replaced. Staff was very rude, and of course now I have to pay out of pocket to get my ceiling fixed. Please do not do business with them. I will be suing as well. read more

This company failed to fix our issues, even after coming out multiple times, spending hours "fixing" the problem and then grossly overcharging us for refrigerant. Then they said it couldn't be fixed so they wanted to charge us $15,000 for a whole new system. We got so frustrated that we ended up contacting a different company for a second opinion and they came out and showed us how Allegiance had failed to properly connect the system, had completely misdiagnosed the problem and they were able to identify the problem right away and fix it for a fraction of the price that all of the service visits costed with Allegiance. Thank goodness we didn't follow their advice and move forward with replacing the whole system. Seems like very similar reviews to others that have been given - they don't seem to know what they are doing at all and charge an arm and a leg without fixing the problems. Won't do business with them again. read more

Do not waste your hard earned money with this business. It is absolutely awful. The service is terrible, the women who work in the office are rude and they do not deliver on their product installation. I have had more issues with my brand new HVAC system than I can even write about here. The single reason I'm still working with this company is by force and not choice because the contractor who built my house is under warranty with them. I'm, quite literally, anxiously awaiting the day that I never have to call their 815 number again. Today I received an invoice for a job that they did not complete. And now I can't reach the office. Horrible service. I a service contract with American Home Shield (horrible service, too btw) and submitted a service request. Allegiance never called me. I had to call them to set up the visit. They were late and when I called the shop to get a status update, each time I identified myself, the lady kept hanging up on me. They finally came out, replaced the "capacitor" and didn't check the a-coil or Freon. House is as hot as ever. I left an "emergency" message on their voice mail. That was nearly two days ago. Haven't heard anything. Don't call them. They won't make you happy. read more

This company is horrible. They installed a new air conditioning unit in our house. Less than a year later, we tried to run it and it didn't work. We had another company come out to look at it and they found that Allegiance didn't install it correctly and a pipe broke. When we contacted Allegiance to rectify their problem, they told us they would not honor their warranty LESS THAN ONE YEAR LATER! What type of company does that? I'm only giving them one star because I have to select something. read more

I had an issue where my AC flooded my furnace with condensation. Allegiance sent out a very knowledgeable tech to fix the issue. Before even starting, he had an idea of what the problem was. Our air conditioning unit quit working. We were very afraid since it was an older unit that it would have to be replaced. The technician from Allegiance heating and cooling arrived exactly on time within the window provided by the company. He was courteous and talked with us to get details about the problem with our air conditioning unit. He then went to the air conditioning unit and quickly discovered the problem. He had the correct part on his truck. Wow! He then quickly and efficiently replaced the defective part. He checked to make sure our air conditioning was working correctly. I agree with others and wish I could give negative stars. They repaired my furnace in January 2015 to the tune of $1100. Less than a year later the furnace doesn't work and they want to charge me to check and see what's wrong? That's right. They guarantee their work for 30 days, folks. The person who answered the phone was dismissive and rude, actually asking if one of my children had turned off the furnace. My kids are 20 and 23 and live out of state, so I think not. I was put on hold twice, and they wouldn't even check to see if the parts were under warranty. This is one shoddy operation, and I will also be contacting the BBB. This was done outside of any home warranty contract with AHS, so AHS is not to blame. I have learned my lesson. This company is awful. read more

We were given a quote on July 6th of 4-6 weeks for replacement of a rooftop unit. It is now December 2nd and we are at 21 weeks and still have no functioning air and NO heat. The unit is installed duct work and thermostat replaced but nothing works. After several phone calls, we cannot get them to come out and fix whatever problem they caused, the heat worked fine before they started. We brought in the roofing and electrical professionals they requested to complete the job before they were finished and yet we are forced to work in less than idea conditions, room temperature is at 57 degrees when the sun is shining and plummets when the sun is not warming us up. They keep telling us that their guys are working another job and will get to us when the can??? What about finishing the job they started here? read more

I would put 0 stars if I could. The first guy who came out didn't bother to open my furnace so the issue wasn't diagnosed correctly and I had to miss work to be home after I called back to have it fixed. Two people were needed to put the new furnace on the wall but another person was only sent to put it up and then left. So when it was tested a leak was found and I had to fight to try to get another person in the same day to finish the repair. I was told no one could come out so I went a night without AC in the middle of July. Then I had to miss more work or else go three days without AC until my next day off. That wouldn't work as I have 6 animals and a serious illness that requires me to stay cool. When I mentioned these things to the manager he didn't care and instead talked over me and pushed my buttons. A serious illness doesn't qualify as an emergency so I'm not sure what does. They also overlooked an issue with the compressor so now less than a week later I'm without AC again because they refused to replace that equipment. Extremely incompetent and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Don't bother leaving a message if you have an emergency either, myself and my father left multiple messages and never received a callback. read more
