What was left out of the explanation was: 1) How dry my eyes would be and that I would have to use expensive Eye drops for the rest of my life to counteract the dryness, 2) That my vision up close and mid-range (to read my laptop) would now require reading glasses. So, I was basically trading off having to use glasses to see at distance; to having to use glasses for up close reading and mid-range reading. In all the procedure was painless although expensive, I saved for two years for this procedure. If you were to ask me if I would do it again? The answer would be no; due to the lifelong side effects of the poor up close vision and having to use expensive eye drops several times a day. Remember this is one man's experience and other people's experience may differ.

I received another bill. my $600 payment was not crusted I checked my bank account. the check was cashed when I called today. I was given an amount more owed more than the bill I was sent. They change the amount owed at a drop of a hat and it is never in your favor. I would not recommend this practice to my worst enemy. They have caused nothing but stress and anger. one of my co workers had the same issue so my case is not isolated.

I cannot believe the change in this office for the NEGATIVE within the period of a year. His doctor is Dr. Grove. He is a wonderful Christian man. That did not change. But for the 10 minutes that we were with him, it really was not worth the way we were treated by the other office staff. I believe sensitivity training is in order for how to speak to an elderly patient. The first technician was RUDE. When she spoke to my father there was no kindness. She was totally doing her job and that was it. When she attempted one test, she was so incompetent that she had to get 2 other employees to help her. Maybe if she would have used better directional words my dad could have understood the task. Instead, she rudely sighed, said "nope" out loud and went to get help. When the trio came back, I said "let's remember he's 92 and he has Parkinson's ". At that point, nurse #1 told me I could have a seat in the waiting area. I said "absolutely not. I'm staying right here". So, after that, I was targeted as the B and my father's treatment went further downhill. The girl who did his refraction never made eye contact with me and said not one word of encouragement or kindness to my father. I'm sure nurse #1 told her how terrible I was. I left this review in the hopes that anyone having an elderly parent/relative going to LEC for an appointment goes with them to protect them from the generation of workers who are there now. I had my first cataract surgery and it went well. Then I caught C-diff which is a highly contagious…read more,resistant infection. It took repeated treatments over many months to get rid of, so out of consideration and not wanting to infect others I was not able to schedule my second surgery. Finally I was able to schedule it and right before the surgery my daughter suddenly passed away from cancer. I canceled the surgery and would have rescheduled it. I think your child dying is a reason to temporarily cancel scheduled surgery for a cataract. But this Dr. Benz called me screaming at me that I canceled the surgery, never asked me why and told me not to come back that he was sick of me. Thank you Dr. BENZ and Eyes of York for your brutality, lack of decency, I guess greed comes before even the death of your child. I guess I should have gone down with the C-diff and infected everyone. What a monster.

On our first visit, Farida walked her through the procedure and answered all her questions. She was upfront about cost and even checked our insurance to determine what our final cost would be. We met Dr Nasrullah during our initial visit. He was very nice and took his time answering our questions. He explained the procedure and what would happen afterwards. We were glad we got to meet him that day because we felt much better about the procedure and decided to move forward. On the day of the procedure, we met Dr Nasrullah at the Reston Surgical Center. He reviewed the process and procedure again and answered our questions. They collected payment the day of the procedure. Cash or Credit Cards only- no checks accepted. The process was as quick as Dr Nasrullah described. The process itself took about 20 minutes, but with the preparation and post care we were at the center for about 2 hrs. Before the procedure, my aunt's vision was -6 due to the cataract. Now her vision is 20/20! Very happy with the results!

Shout out to Debbie for being so patient with me; we probably spun through the same lenses at least 4 times and she never got frustrated. She took the time to really make sure my updated prescription was right. When Dr. Huzzella came in, her and her tech were both talking to me as if we were all professionals together. Ignorant staff, would never recommend this place.
