Mike and his crew removed all of this, and then restored and polished our concrete foundation, artfully applied an acid stain, and added really nice quartzite inlays over our thresholds that had the worst cracking. The result is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind concrete floor, and the house feels so much better. These floors look amazing, easy to maintain, and they will actually help regulate the temperature better compared to the previous flooring material. Huge added value, great investment. Michael to the rescue!!! I had a mediocre contractor pull up the tiles and "restore" the floors of my very special 1959 Alexander in the Racquet Club. Because he didn't know what he was doing, he poured straight acid onto the perfectly preserved concrete foundation burning a huge hole in the concrete right in front of the fireplace.... total disaster! Thankfully I found Allbright! Michael came in to properly grind down the concrete multiple times and polish and preserve the concrete floors all throughout my house. What a relief! Michael was just lovely to work with. He ended up not only doing the floor but sandblasting decades of paint off the fireplace and finishing a step-down walk-in shower that was poured in concrete.... it completely makes the bathroom. We hired Allbright Restoration Services, owner Michael Bonifazi, to resurface the interior concrete floors of our house. His estimate was very high, but based on his experience, and his online reviews we felt the $13,000 price tag would be worth the hit to our budget. We explained to Michael our desired outcome and he performed a demo on a small spot to show us what to expect. His sample work looked good, and he told us to expect even better as he would be using heavier equipment to do the grinding. We wanted even coloring, repair of all cracks and holes, and a nice smooth, even neutral color finish. First off, he never explained that he could not guarantee an even color and that the existing cracks would still be visible and actually worse than before. Michael did everything on the work order, grind and sand, apply concrete densifier/hardener, and sealer. Towards the end of the job when I expressed my disappointment he advised adding some color/dye to the floors to help reduce the visible flaws, then proceeded to hit us up for an additional $1,000. If Michael would have been upfront with us and explain that he couldn't achieve the desired outcome then we would have gone in a different direction rather than wasting our money. The photos I've posted are the final job, they speak for themselves, also posted are photos of damage to the walls as a result of sloppy workmanship. As you can see the color of the floor is blotchy, no consistency or even tones, cracks are visible and obvious. The floors look worse than before he started. The damage to walls and cabinets are numerous, and will be costly to repair. The dirt and mess he left behind will take weeks to clean. He did attempt to repair some damage but it's extensive and we will need to hire a professional to repair most of what he left behind. read more

He came to the house right away and gave us an estimate on the spot. He is very knowledgeable and really knows his stuff, which you really need when you are uncovering decades of tile, linoleum and who knows what. Communication with Michael is very easy and he kept me apprised of the progress and was very quick to respond to questions. We were renting a house while the work was being done so staying on time and on budget was a priority, he even worked weekends and a holiday to ensure everything was completed on time. I found Allbright Restoration Services by chance online. Made an appointment to meet with him in the new (old) house I bought to discuss staining and polishing the cement instead of having tile installed. The owner, Michael Bonifazi, showed up on time and prepared with pictures of previous job sites as well as a tape measure to figure the square footage of the job. He wrote an estimate at that meeting; I didn't have to wait 2 or 3 days to get the quote. Michael approached my job artistically as well as professionally. He gave me a realistic time frame for completion, explaining the procedure in detail and I sent him pictures of stormy skies that I wanted the floors to emulate. The end results were amazing. The aggregate shows through subtly just as I requested; the floor was evened out and the cracks were artistically enhanced with a turquoise stain. Some cracks were enhanced white like lightening. I was hesitant to go the route of concrete floors preferring wood looking tile. So glad I changed my mind. Our mid-century condo flooded and ruined the carpeting. Instead of replacing the carpet we decided to have the concrete floor polished.
