The previous install had the ductwork leaning on the ceiling, an improperly constructed return vent... RDK installed everything from scratch and the difference in how the system operates is so much more efficient (lower electric bills) with both the outside and inside units hardly making any noise. Last month was our first maintenance and again I was very impressed. I believe his name was Harris and he did more than anyone has ever done on AC maintenance in any of my homes. He washed the coils on the outside unit by removing the top, he sucked out the drain line, measured the temperature of the air pushed out from the air handler and more. With extreme heat and the toll it takes on your AC, do yourself a favor and invest in a company that takes good care of your equipment.

From start to finish these guys are the very best!!! I called them and Ashley who works in the office st up an appointment for me right away, she was spectacular professional courteous and reassuring. Then Deatrick who is the Project Manager came out he was extremely professional thorough and explained everything from how long the new install would take, spoke to me about financing. Dearick is the man!!!! He knows his stuff inside and out!! And finally, a day later the 2 technicians came out, the job took a little longer that 5 and a half hours. The 2 technicians (Tyler and London) were outstanding. Courteous polite and most importantly they did an exceptional and outstanding job. If you need AC repair or a new installation like I did, Call 24/7 forget about all those other companies out there. These guys are the very best. Thanks very much to these 4 individuals. Hats off to you, And to the big boss or owner. Give them all a raise these guys deserve it!!!!

Let me tell you about Fontana Brothers. We had a power brownout earlier in the day that knocked our…read moreAC compressor offline. I called EIGHT highly rated AC companies in the area. Granted, it was Labor Day, but not one of them answered the phone. Only two eventually called me back. Fontana Brothers? They answered on the first ring and told me they could have someone out within about 90 minutes. Our technician, Fredy, called about 20 minutes before arriving and immediately got to work. He quickly diagnosed a failed capacitor and an issue at the contactor/electrical connection, and replaced what was needed. He also recommended surge protection for both the outdoor condenser and indoor air handler, which seemed especially sensible after the electrical event that started all of this. But he didn't just fix the immediate problem and leave. He inspected the air handler, discovered a significant air leak where it connects to the ductwork, and found the blower wheel caked with buildup. He took care of those issues as well. He also checked the refrigerant charge and explained that the system appeared to have been left at the factory line-set charge, which only accounts for a relatively short refrigerant line. Ours runs roughly 45 feet between the condenser and air handler, so additional refrigerant was needed. Fredy showed me the regular repair pricing versus their maintenance-club pricing rather than just trying to sell me something, and with a seven-year-old system that clearly hadn't received enough attention, joining made perfect sense. What really stood out, though, was how he treated our home and family. He stopped to pet our cats, patiently answered our kids' questions, and treated everything with care. He used our garden hose while cleaning the blower and actually wound it up neater than we normally do. From answering the phone on a holiday to getting our AC running properly and finding several problems that could have continued costing us efficiency and reliability, the entire experience was exceptional. I genuinely can't say enough good things about it.

I had been a loyal customer of Harrington AC for about 30 years and during that time have owned…read moremultiple homes and purchased many AC units which I had serviced by Harrington. My last AC unit purchase in 2023 was over $18,000. Over 30 years I estimate myself and other extended family members have spent at least $50,000 and I have probably referred any least that amount again as President of a large HOA. Unfortunately the business was sold to new owners two years ago, see sunbiz.org, doc # T23000000252, and my recent experience has been very poor. Prices are much higher, and service and communications are below standard. My most recent experience began when I requested a maintenance check for my new $18,000 unit. A technician discovered a refrigerant leak and told me he would probably be out the next day with a part to repair it. It took over a month to fix. Repair dates were scheduled 3 times. The first date was cancelled. I was told the part wasn't available. The second repair date no one showed up or notified me. A month later a tech finally arrived and fixed the leak. By that time so much refrigerant had leaked out that the tech said the original estimate of $1,542.63 to fix the leak would have to be increased to $2,171.38. I told the tech I wanted to speak to his boss about the amount of $2,171.38 to repair the leak. The tech said I had to pay right away and he was instructed to stay until I paid. I asked him to leave but he said he wouldn't and that his boss wanted him to remove the refrigerant from my AC unit. Then an alert came thru my phone that my credit card had been charged. I had given my card number a month ago when I purchased a $200 annual maintenance contract. An invoice was emailed to me with a handwritten note that I was not present. I have video cameras to prove that I was and I told the tech that my card was charged without my authorization. The tech then left and as far as I can tell from my video cameras did not remove any refrigerant. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will not refer any more people to this business in the future. Read less
