The previous install had the ductwork leaning on the ceiling, an improperly constructed return vent... RDK installed everything from scratch and the difference in how the system operates is so much more efficient (lower electric bills) with both the outside and inside units hardly making any noise. Last month was our first maintenance and again I was very impressed. I believe his name was Harris and he did more than anyone has ever done on AC maintenance in any of my homes. He washed the coils on the outside unit by removing the top, he sucked out the drain line, measured the temperature of the air pushed out from the air handler and more. With extreme heat and the toll it takes on your AC, do yourself a favor and invest in a company that takes good care of your equipment.

Then Deatrick who is the Project Manager came out he was extremely professional thorough and explained everything from how long the new install would take, spoke to me about financing. Dearick is the man!!!! He knows his stuff inside and out!! And finally, a day later the 2 technicians came out, the job took a little longer that 5 and a half hours. The 2 technicians (Tyler and London) were outstanding. Courteous polite and most importantly they did an exceptional and outstanding job. I had been a loyal customer of Harrington AC for about 30 years and during that time have owned…read moremultiple homes and purchased many AC units which I had serviced by Harrington. My last AC unit purchase in 2023 was over $18,000. Over 30 years I estimate myself and other extended family members have spent at least $50,000 and I have probably referred any least that amount again as President of a large HOA. Unfortunately the business was sold to new owners two years ago, see sunbiz.org, doc # T23000000252, and my recent experience has been very poor. Prices are much higher, and service and communications are below standard. My most recent experience began when I requested a maintenance check for my new $18,000 unit. A technician discovered a refrigerant leak and told me he would probably be out the next day with a part to repair it. It took over a month to fix. Repair dates were scheduled 3 times. The first date was cancelled. I was told the part wasn't available. The second repair date no one showed up or notified me. A month later a tech finally arrived and fixed the leak. By that time so much refrigerant had leaked out that the tech said the original estimate of $1,542.63 to fix the leak would have to be increased to $2,171.38. I told the tech I wanted to speak to his boss about the amount of $2,171.38 to repair the leak. The tech said I had to pay right away and he was instructed to stay until I paid. I asked him to leave but he said he wouldn't and that his boss wanted him to remove the refrigerant from my AC unit. Then an alert came thru my phone that my credit card had been charged. I had given my card number a month ago when I purchased a $200 annual maintenance contract. An invoice was emailed to me with a handwritten note that I was not present. I have video cameras to prove that I was and I told the tech that my card was charged without my authorization. The tech then left and as far as I can tell from my video cameras did not remove any refrigerant. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will not refer any more people to this business in the future. Read less

A week ago we had an Insulation company come by for an estimate. They informed us that our ductwork had not been properly sealed with tape and mastic. In addition to the flex duct work not being cut to the proper length in some places. I called Liberty and to their credit they did send someone out within a couple days to finish the work. The same guy that had done the original work came and when I asked him why he hadn't done it properlyin the first place, he said it was because it was summer and to hot. I can totally understand not wanting to do it, but then dont take the job if your not going to do it properly. We also would have been open to waiting until it was cooler to do the job or finish the job. Instead we had leaky ductwork at 9 connections for 2years. The tech did complete the job by taping and applying mastic to the connections, although after checking they were not all done well at all. He also used the old insulation to try and cover the boots. If you've had work done by Liberty I would check to see if they did it properly. And if you use them make sure you get photos of the finished work. Their is no reason they cant have their employees take photos after each job is complete and included that with their bill.
