I called Attic Advisor and Nick came out to give me an estimate. He told me exactly what they would do and showed me photos of previous jobs they had done that looked similar to my situation. I was so impressed with Nick's explanation and professionalism that I decided to have Attic Advisor do the work. On the appointed day, the crew arrived right on time and got right to work. They put up plastic to protect my walls and laid down plastic on my stairs to protect my carpet. They actually created a plastic lined tunnel where they could take the debris straight out to their truck without it blowing all over my home. I had fiberglass batting and blown-in insulation that they removed. They vacuumed out the attic thoroughly. I was provided with photos taken before, during, and after the project was completed. The old insulation was removed, all holes and cracks in the floor and walls were sealed up, they used a fogger to remove any contaminants, and then they installed new fiberglass insulation. My attic looks great!. Nick was very patient and kind throughout the process from start to finish. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful. I searched for a long time to find a company who supplied these and I found Quiet Cool. A little background - I called the number on the main Quiet Cool website and spoke to the main manufacturing location. They are the one's that supply the fan's and I guess they just recently started doing installs. They were very unhelpful and had no idea what they were doing. I got discouraged, as they said our house could not have a fan due to our attic makeup. I had to hunt these guys down to get answers, it was like pulling teeth. So please, avoid the main manufacturing company for the installation and just go to the quiet cool guys. Cut to now, I searched quiet cool on yelp because I wanted to give the manufacturing guys mentioned above a bad review and that is when i found the quiet cool guys. So thankful for the quiet cool guys! I called and right away was met with professionalism and could tell they knew what they were doing. They scheduled us for a complimentary evaluation within a few days and had confidence that our attic would be able to fit the fan. They are the ones who have been installing the Quiet Cool products for many years and they have seen it all! We had Misael, Erik and Victor come out. They checked out our attic, answered my many questions and set us up for an appointment to do both insulation and a whole house fan install, within that same week. They came back for the install and the whole process took about 6 hours. They respected my want for no shoes in the house and they carefully laid plastic down in any area they would be walking.
