Nestled in a so-so neighborhood is a nice, inviting place called All the Way Live. Apparently, there is/was more than one of these locations, but when I look on their website, there is only this location currently. I was eating with mostly a vegan group of people and learned about how my interests differed greatly from theirs and learned to appreciate the different vegan spectrum levels more and to realize that there is more of a spectrum. Being a raw vegan is a whole nother level and while I am open to this kind of food, I wouldn't want to restrict myself to this lifestyle as it would be too stressful and unenjoyable for me. The group seemed to be a fan of this place, and I am no exception to that. Many didn't like Vedge at all whereas I did, one or two said Monster Vegan could consider charging more which i disagree with even though I haven't made it there yet, Su Xing seems to get respectable ratings by all, Charlie's is mixed but I am a fan personally. If vegan meat tastes too much like the real thing, this turns off a significant number of vegans. For a non-vegan foodie like myself, or possibly vegans strict to their diets that miss meat might appreciate this type of food accessibility. Even though the ingredients here are all raw vegan (to start), they are made flavorful for a more healthy experience. The apple cake I had here had a different texture than your typical American cake. I believe it was layers of fuji apple itself and it was made moderately sweet- not overly sweet like a typical American pastry. The candied squash I had here was fine with the unexpected salad to accompany it, but i didn't feel the candied part of it per se. The mushroom "cheesesteak" I didn't feel was really much of a vegan cheesesteak, but it was still flavorful enough with actual mushrooms and veggies within a roll. The prices are on the higher side but seemed appropriately priced too. The ginger lime drink I had tasted natural but flavorful. Pricy, but flavorful and refreshing. As to the reviewers who were frustrated by the place closing with no proper notification, that is very frustrating. I get it's a local place, but those kind of details are important to at least have on your website- something within the store's control. Somewhat ironically, my group was here because the Nile nearby was closed on this particular day only. This was on their Instagram. During my time here, my group asked me out of 10, how would I rate the cake. I said 9 or 10 at the time and don't regret that. They were surprised by such a high rating. I haven't had too many specific vegan cakes myself nor do I need to specifically try to overindulge myself in cakes. I was a bit overwhelmed to try to review on the spot but felt it was my duty to try to because I have been writing many reviews currently. Also, I see that it takes me time to think about all these things in my reviews like this one here. This review would have been too much to tell a person in-person. After further prior review investigation and more thought, 10% is high for credit card surcharge and there should be more transparency on that beforehand if not displayed well. 5% would probably still allow a slight profit but also be more appropriate and reasonably easy to calculate I think. Also, because of the area this is in, one could argue maybe the prices need to be tempered down. This is specialty too and it is all quite debatable. read more

This was my first time at All The Way Live and it was an amazing experience. The service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing as you could taste the love used to prepare it. It's a warm peaceful environment that makes you feel at home immediately. The food is really good here I have been to the restaurant about 4 times. It's a nice chill spot. The owner is the loveliest person, she came out and explained to us what live food is and she even gave us advice. We get the lasagne "amazing", the squash soup "the best I ever had" the spaghetti " I can totally replace my spaghetti with hers" . Where to begin, ordered the nut burger, sabgi and two avocado salads for pick up. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes for the order to be ready. My suspicion is they started making the order when I walked into the restaurant. They gave me the house salad with no dressing with half of an old and brown avocado. $13 for that salad, see the picture attached. Very disappointing. While I was standing in the place there were 4-5 people waiting for their orders and a few people at tables also waiting. I hope they can get their act together. I had been dying to try this place for such a long time! I always found myself in the area on either Monday's or Tuesday's when they're closed so it took me a lot longer than I would've liked. Finally made it to this 100% plant-based, super chill, kinda earthy, mother/daughter owned space in Germantown. I chose the 'pick a few' option so I could taste multiple dishes on my initial visit. Here are the prices: Small (choice of 3) $12 Medium (choice of 4) $16 Large (choice of 5) $20 I went a small which was piled high with BBQ mushrooms, the "tuna" made from butternut squash and seas greens and the chickpea chili. Completely shocked by how much I enjoyed the "tuna". That was definitely my wild card pick and I'm glad I decided to go for it! The consistency was great and didn't freak me out at all. A slightly "fishy" flavor, but not too overpowering. Easily eaten with just a fork! I loved the chickpea chili and could easily eat an entire bowl of it! Warm spices, hearty bites...perfect for a cold day The mushrooms were my least favorite of the bunch. Good. Just not "wow" like I had wanted. I saved leftovers for hubs and he agreed. Just a tad off from a BBQ flavor. I couldn't leave without a dessert to bring home to the kiddos (ok, I may or may not have had a taste). I went with a slice of raw vegan cheesecake served with thick gooey, sweet strawberry sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The creamiest vegan cheesecake I've ever tasted with a date and nut crumbly crust. It was coconut based and did taste like it. Non coconut fans will want to skip this one and try another one of their tempting treats. Space was large and filled with greenery. Calming. I really enjoyed speaking with the owner, the mother, about her business and veganism in general. We're all soul-sisters in a sense. I was introduced to All The Way Live and Sister Beverly in January of this year. Since then, I have not had one iota of a desire to dine anyplace else. It is a spiritual hangout that happens to also be a restaurant. The menu is vegan - half of the items completely uncooked, raw, and alive. The vibe is among the most chillest that I have found in my travels. My last visit, Sis Bev made a special dish for me: Wakame salad, Nori sheets, Barbecue Portabellos, and Avocado. All the way live. One word: SUPERB, perfect, and just right. I love the fact that right now it is a select few beautiful souls who frequent the place. But, hey, I can't hide a gorgeous treasure such as this.
