My review is a bit mixed…read more Gil began servicing my pool in September 2019, and I continued with his service until March 2026. For most of that time, I was very happy. We had great conversations and built a good rapport, especially during the pandemic when I was working remotely and would often see him while he was servicing the pool. Unfortunately, over the last year or so, I began noticing a decline in the quality of service. Once I returned to the office and was no longer regularly observing the pool maintenance, several issues started to become apparent. I believe Gil may have hired additional help as his business grew, and the level of attention to my pool seemed to suffer as a result. Over the last several months, I noticed my pool's condition gradually deteriorating. My spa stopped working, the electrical panel door was frequently left open, the filter pump lid was occasionally loose and leaking water, and my pool cleaner sat in the same location for weeks without moving. I eventually discovered a broken Jandy valve that appeared to have been damaged for quite some time. What concerned me most was that I was never informed about any of these issues. I also found several bottles of algae-treatment chemicals discarded in a bucket in my yard. While this alone doesn't prove anything improper, it did raise concerns about whether chemical treatments were being used to mask underlying maintenance issues rather than addressing them (maybe another leading indicator to the increased annual service due to rising chemical costs). To be fair, I provided a full month's notice before ending service as a courtesy after nearly seven years as a customer. However, during that final month I began noticing algae spores developing in the pool, which further raised concerns about whether the pool was still being serviced consistently during the last couple of weeks. While the occasional price increases were noticeable, in all honesty, that wasn't my primary concern. My expectation is that routine maintenance includes identifying and communicating equipment problems before they become larger issues. In the final months, it felt more like a quick stop to remove a few leaves, throw in some chemicals, and move on, rather than the comprehensive pool service I had received for many years. I appreciate the good years of service and the personal relationship we developed, which is why this review is mixed rather than entirely negative. However, the decline in maintenance quality, lack of communication regarding equipment issues, and concerns about the consistency of service over the last few months ultimately led me to cancel after nearly seven years.

As a new homeowner and first-time pool owner, we honestly hadn't paid much attention to the pool…read moreafter moving in, and it had gotten to the point where it really needed some care. That was when we found Carlo from Yelp. He was extremely helpful in getting it back to its original condition. He came out several times to wash up the green, and brought the water back to being crystal clear. He also helped identify the leak issue from the filter and referred us to an expert who could handle the filter replacement properly. I especially appreciated that the original filter cleaning/wash-up charge was credited back to us since we decided to move forward with a new filter replacement. That was a very fair and customer-friendly gesture. Carlo's service was professional, responsive, and thorough. As someone who is completely new to pool maintenance, I really appreciated his help in getting everything back in good shape and showing us the knowledge about maintaining a pool.

He came on by when we were doing inspections of the house and get some expert eyes on it. He's provided multiple suggestions and deals on equipment that can help us out. Since then we brought him on for weekly service. The value of him being here every week has been great. He provides pictures of the work that he does. He's dropped phosphate to kill algae when we first got the home and has done a full filter cleaning for us in addition to the weekly chemicals and cleaning. He's walked me through each one of the steps and explained the reasoning and the benefits for it all. Overall, great guy definitely recommended service if you're looking!
