DBat came up on a google search and was conveniently located so I went to their website to check it out. It was super easy to register, sign up and make reservation. Kudos for great on-line experience! Telling my grandson we were going to a batting cage was a hit and we headed to the batting cage. I was very impressed when walking in. It's been a minute since I was a softball coach and seemed to live in batting cages. Upon entering you'll find a great pro shop with softball and baseball gear. The check-in experience was easy with great staff. You'll have different cages to choose from; ball machine (kiosk driven), live pitch/hitting and pitching mound. Even with a 6 year old the pitching machine was awesome. We only had to wait about 5 minutes to get a cage. I would imagine a longer wait during prime times as there are only 3 cages with pitching machines, but you can reserve on-line. D Bat has a great selection of clinics and lessons that you must check out. A great find for the baseball/softball community along the I-44 corridor.

A few holes were nicely themed, though. There is a promo that earns you a reward if you get a hole-in-one on a certain hole that changes regularly (maybe it changes daily?). You get unlimited play on both courses. We didn't see the 2nd 18-hole course until we'd surrendered our clubs and balls. It seems to be the older course from before a major renovation. Oh well. We can do that one next time. It looks a little... umm... tired? Maybe that was only the section we saw. The "shave ice" was more of a "shaved ice." it didn't seem shaved fine enough to be considered truly Hawaiian-style, but it was reminiscent of Sno Biz shaved ice, so I can't really complain.

I've been here 3 times and it really seems geared towards girls softball. There are at least 8 cages/nets with ball machines in each. Not a very large space but perfect to get swings in. There tends to be lots of water puddles but it appears safe. I hope this place dries out so we can practice here again.
