The main feature is the three decent sized baseball/softball fields that are in reasonably good condition. I imagine they get quite a workout during the warmer weather! There are bleachers at the ball field though there is minimal shade. The park also has a few picnic shelters, a permanent structure with restrooms and a really nice looking playground with shade and several different climbing/sliding features. Parking is behind and to the side of the largest of the baseball diamond. I would imagine that you still need to be aware of the foul ball going back into the parking area. Christian Brothers High School (CBC) bought some of the land and the Park is now 12 acres in size. Both Preservation Park and the CBC Cadet Park was built including athletic facilities for use by the public. During unreserved time frames Tennis Courts and Athletic Fields operate on a first come first serve basis. Athletic Teams may even rent fields by signing up online. Playground, Sand Volleyball, and a Pavillon are also reasons to visit Preservation Park.
