My favorite Asheville brewery by a pretty steep margin. The beer is always amazing and innovative…read more I've never had a bad beer here. The outdoor seating area is spacious and fun with old cars turned into self imposed selfie stations (guilty as charged) and a haven for sticker placements. Bartenders were great once served. However, on NYE you would think that both bars would be open?!? Having a huge line deterred me from getting another beer.

Burial is so unique in that they brew something special every week. Stop by each Wednesday to find out what's new. What I love here is that for their special brew...they serve and charge per ABV...so if it's higher alcohol...you end up paying more. Other brews are by the pint. It's all good though...everyone gets looked after. On to another matter...the food. The food here is friggin delicious. I recommend the smash burger or the wings. The turkey sandwich is also great. A good lunch will cost $25/pp. Stop by the retail store and pick up a few cans of local recent brew to take home. A 4-Pack will cost no less than $24. Remember...every Wednesday they have something new and unique to sell...and it will sell out within 4 days.

I looked through a TON of reviews for this place and there is one *GLARING* difference between…read morethose reviews and mine. They seem to have visited during the day. It's quite possible if I'd have visited during the day that my review would've been 5 stars. However, we came at night (well... winter night it was like 6pm?). It was dark. First, the parking lot. It looked like a scene from a horror movie where everyone gets killed. There was no actual parking lot, just some grass along the road where people were parked. There was a chainlink fence gate that was barely open, with an overgrown sign, and it looked like you were walking into a haunted factory. We walked in the brewery and it was only light by faint lights and candles. We jokingly started calling it the MURDER BREWERY in a spooky voice. I see the beautiful plants in the pictures in reviews here and we saw none of that. I have less-than-stellar night vision and actually held onto my wife's shoulders for her to lead me around. They also have a lot of tables without chairs. Maybe that's trendy, but really I want to sit and chat while I try your beer. I don't want to have to stand around. It cleared out before we left and we got a seat eventually, but the table/chair ratio was way out of whack. All this time and I haven't spoken about the beer yet. It was pretty good. My BIL loved the Mummy Cat. We all had some pretty decent beers. However, we bolted after not too long due to it just not being a great place to hang out in the dark. Our friends enjoyed the photos we took and the catchphrase ANTIQUITY DAWNS AT MODERNITY'S TWILIGHT likely stolen from a 14 year old emo kid's journal that was on their less than useful website. There are no beer lists on it. Literally just that goofy saying and their hours.

Really wonderful brewery off the beaten track. A brewer who is also an artist. The atmosphere is as…read moregood as the beer. Right by the river and a really pleasant place to spend an evening. Beetender was friendly and knowledgeable. Go all the way to the end of the street and through the fence.

This review is just a rating for it as a community space and for VOWL. I was in town for my…read morebachelorette and looking for fun spot to dance. I saw there was a show that Saturday and was excited to go with my girls. They have a pool table and a good amount of seating. The bathroom decor is iconic. They have gender neutral single stalls. I'm not sure what the space is normally like, but there was a natural dance floor section in the back for the DJ that evening. My friends ordered some drinks they really enjoyed and the bartenders were really sweet. It feels like a great community spot because people on the dance floor were social and friendly. I wish I was in town for their Wednesday dance therapy. I'm excited to return on another visit.

Two of my favorite beers from Funky Buddha brewing in Ft Lauderdale are Sticky Treats and No Crusts…read more- a rice crispy treat lager and a peanut butter and jelly brown ale. DSSOLVR had their own rice crispy treat pilsner (Krispie Crusher) as well as a peanut butter and jelly beer (PB&J Turbo Fluff) but as a sour instead of a brown ale. Both versions were superior to the Funky Buddha versions, which is all I needed to taste to know that this place makes great beer. Out of all the breweries we visited in Asheville, DSSOLVR is the only one we took beers back home with us on the drive to Atlanta. Definitely make sure DSSOLVR is one of your planned stops if you're doing your own brewery tour of Asheville.
