Called the store for warranty information and my purchase record wasn't available? I found my receipt and went the store in person. They honored the warranty and placed a new battery on the counter. I asked them if they had tools because it looked like I was the mechanic that day. They offered up the tools and I switched the battery out. FYI: A good auto parts store would offer to install and battery as well as have my purchase information in their system. Cast in point: Always keep your receipts because without due diligence the new battery would have cost me out of pocket. Seems a little sketchy that my warranty information wasn't in their system. Just saying and always make sure your purchase information is in their system.

But they wanted to replace my water pump and pulley for $650+ because "there were surface cracks" on the water pump pulley. And they wanted to replace my license plate bulbs for $95 because they were burnt out. I've owned 4 Mini Coopers; surface cracks on the water pump pulley are expected; "Surface cracks (1) form on the drive pulley over time. Standing there for several minutes, I looked further to the back of the store and saw three employees plus a customer standing around a car battery on the ground. I don't understand why or how they were incapable of noticing the other customers. In fact, two more employees emerged from the back to also walk over and stare down at the battery. (!!!) I will never know what was so engaging about the battery, but it required *everyone's* attention and *everyone* had to stare at it. Two guys even tapped it with their shoes. Heck, as I stood there waiting, I, too, stared at the damn battery. After being invisible for five minutes, I finally cut the air and asked one of the men, "Um excuse me, may I get my merchandise so I can leave?" Whoa. I had broken the magic spell that the car battery held over all five of the men. For a split second they were freed from the battery's trance. One guy broke away to hand me my purchase order, while the rest of the fellas stayed huddled around the stupid m*f*'ing battery. Four stars for AutoZone carrying good products. One star for today's crummy service.

Fortunately, I had bought the warranty - I ended up needing to replace the entire steering rack, which would've been quite pricey out of pocket. Ryan and his team were so helpful throughout the whole process - identifying and explaining the problem, dealing with the warranty company (which, major kudos, they were hard to work with), and fixing it quickly so I could get back in my daily driver. I know they specialize more in custom buildouts, but their willingness to help and work with me on this more mechanical-side issue was quite commendable - they saved me a headache, and honestly heartache over my "new" truck, and bolstered my trust in them as honest, skilled mechanics. Now that my truck actually works, I'm excited to work with them in the future on my buildout! Thank you so much!

The…read morebiggest piece of evidence I have is that I'm pretty sure the union boss called for a strike last week, because on Saturday I had to replace 4 bulbs in various places on the car. And that's after replacing a tail light last week to avoid getting pulled over for a third time in Moab. Here's what I know about O'Reilly. They're right off of State Street in the mid-south party of the valley (Midvale nearing Sandy) and they have a surprisingly large store. I don't ever get into the really gearheady kinds of auto parts - let's leave that to the experts - but O'Reilly has a nice selection of the easy-to-fix stuff that's laid out as self serve on the sales floor. You know the stuff: fluids, wipers, bulbs, accessories, and more for the quick fixes. They've also got several pros on hand who can look anything up on their snappy computers and fetch (or order) any part you'd like to get your hands on. They were more than willing to help me find what I needed and gave me the ever important reminded NOT to touch the headlight bulb as I was installing it. Good reminder. The store is nice, lots of parking, and full of people willing to help. A lot of the old union bulbs have now retired and the new guys are shining brightly.

This will be long because these guys deserve a proper review. We were in town from Las Vegas and…read morewere staying in Provo. All the eletrical in our car went out we assumed we needed a battery which is something we change out every few years because Vegas summers are brutal. We changed it out but the battery light kept flashing on and off we thought we need to drive the car so the battery can juice up the car. We drove from Provo to SLC for a graduation and on our way back at around 9000 S. the electrical started going out again and we pulled over at a Maverick. We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. Thank you for the best auto repair service we have hands down ever had!
