And that's after replacing a tail light last week to avoid getting pulled over for a third time in Moab. Here's what I know about O'Reilly. They're right off of State Street in the mid-south party of the valley (Midvale nearing Sandy) and they have a surprisingly large store. I don't ever get into the really gearheady kinds of auto parts - let's leave that to the experts - but O'Reilly has a nice selection of the easy-to-fix stuff that's laid out as self serve on the sales floor. You know the stuff: fluids, wipers, bulbs, accessories, and more for the quick fixes. They've also got several pros on hand who can look anything up on their snappy computers and fetch (or order) any part you'd like to get your hands on. They were more than willing to help me find what I needed and gave me the ever important reminded NOT to touch the headlight bulb as I was installing it. Good reminder. The store is nice, lots of parking, and full of people willing to help. A lot of the old union bulbs have now retired and the new guys are shining brightly.

They're the best place to go if you want to buy wholesale LiFePO4 battery cells and BMS systems for CALB, the ones I have. CALB actually sent me to them originally to place my order, and I ended up back there researching and gathering information. HIGHLY recommended

There have been good employees here and bad employees here, and after many times of him being so short with me, I think it ruined it for me. If I see him in the store again, I'm just not gonna go in. He charged me for both items. He then asked me if i could find my items myself on the shelf with the numbers he scribbled down on a little piece of paper. I was surprised because it wasn't busy at the 6:00 hour and there was only one other customer in the store. I guess I was okay with getting my items off the shelf myself. I had never shopped there so I was not familiar with their inventory system. Found one, could not find the other. I asked another floor clerk there. He was helpful. He could not find the it either. He asked the fellow the took my money and he said something to the effect, "Oh yeah! They just came in today and they're in the back." Am I asking too much for full service after payment or is this the new model of customer service?

I'm not sure if they had a limit of how many people could be in the store at one time, because of the Covid-19 because people where just walking in. I noticed right away that there was a barricade of bins right by the cash registers, with the credit card reader sitting on top of the bins. Registers didn't have the plexi glass in front, so I'm guessing this is their way of providing social distancing. I was helped right away, and when they asked me what kind of car I had, I said I didn't know. The gentleman behind the counter was willing to walk outside, and get my vin number, and started to do that when I stopped him, and said "I have a picture of it on my phone", which I handed him He looked up the part, gave me two options, I asked him what the difference was and he explained it. Well there really isn't any lines, so you'll just need to jump to the nearest counter that was available. I waited like maybe 5-10 mins and finally a counter was opened. I walked up like 5 seconds after a customer left...the guy ignored me, checked his phone text and then went on to make a personal call to his "babe". He had like 5-10 min call ignoring me, while I stood there seeing if anyone else is available. After he finally finish talking on his phone, he told me the part I needed and told me where to go and get it. I stepped away for a couple of mins, came back and he was on his phone again. I just set down the parts and left. Went to autozone which was like a street away and got better service.

Standing there for several minutes, I looked further to the back of the store and saw three employees plus a customer standing around a car battery on the ground. I don't understand why or how they were incapable of noticing the other customers. In fact, two more employees emerged from the back to also walk over and stare down at the battery. (!!!) I will never know what was so engaging about the battery, but it required *everyone's* attention and *everyone* had to stare at it. Two guys even tapped it with their shoes. Heck, as I stood there waiting, I, too, stared at the damn battery. After being invisible for five minutes, I finally cut the air and asked one of the men, "Um excuse me, may I get my merchandise so I can leave?" Whoa. I had broken the magic spell that the car battery held over all five of the men. For a split second they were freed from the battery's trance. One guy broke away to hand me my purchase order, while the rest of the fellas stayed huddled around the stupid m*f*'ing battery. Four stars for AutoZone carrying good products. One star for today's crummy service.
