When I asked he said they had financing. After 25+years of off and on contracting work you realize the shady people. I called Bill's and Joe came out next day. Looked things over thoroughly and said he would send estimate. I got email it was $2689.00 with a $675.00 rebate through MidAmerica energy. The unit quoted was better then unit quoted by 1st company. Sent me link for financing, in under 15minutes I was approved interest free for a year. The installer came removed old unit, put in new unit, new connections, lines, insulation, tucked, wrapped everything and cleaned up. I was out the door to work on time as promised. It was true pleasure having them do the job. Will always go to and recommend them in future.

Our tenants informed us that our furnace was not working properly. Schebler was the original…read morecompany who installed the furnace, however I had issues with them in the past and decided to call Dougs Heating and Air Conditioning based on their ratings. After an evaluation by their technician we were advised that we needed a new motor which would cost between $2000 - $3000 and that this was probably a 2-5 year fix. Based on this we decided to install a new furnace and a technician arrived a few days later to install it. After about 7 hours the technician informed our tenants that he could not finish the install as the pressure of gas coming into the house was insufficient and we needed to contact Mid American to address this issue. Mid American dispatched a representative out to our residence and upon entering our home he quickly identified that the Doug's Heating and Air Conditioning technician failed to cap the gas line and our entire basement was filled with gas. He was in shock and immediately called Dougs Heating and Air Conditioning to inform them of the gross negligence of their employee which left our tenants and neighborhood in a very dangerous situation. I also immediately contacted Doug's Heating and Conditioning to inform them of my displeasure with their poor workmanship and the HVAC 101 their technician should have performed prior to leaving our residence. They were very apologetic and ending up fixing my humidifier, gave me a $300 discount and a 2 year maintenance plan. However, based on the severity of this poor workmanship I feel a rating of 1 star was earned.

In 2019 I lost my furnace and water heater to the Mississippi flood. They said it would be fine because they would install a drip pan and overflow pipe to the basement so any leakage would drain through the pipe and not out onto my beautiful, 130 year old oak floor. After just 4 years the water heater failed and leaked all over my oak floor. They charged me to replace the water heater, offered no apology for their bad advice and even replaced the failed heater with the exact same model that failed after only 4 years. Now I'm left with a ruined floor and a water heater that may fail again before it should and no way to prevent it from ruining a repaired floor. As a professional myself I understand people should be able to rely on my advice. That is the point of being a professional. If I give out bad advice I will do everything I can to make it right.
