Purchased a home in June where QCA electric did multiple fixes to the electrical in the home, prior to close. He wired the laundry with 240, but placed a 120 outlet into it. When we used the washer it started smoking and filled the lower level with smoke. The dryer would not run at all. They were older so thinking wiring had to be correct as just fixed, bought new washer/dryer. Plugged in washer wouldn't even light up, brought a different one out same result. Checked to verify had electricity. Third one lit up but wouldn't cycle. Tried to get information from realtors on who completed work and was not successful. Called a different electrician to see if the outlet could be the issue. Took him 2 minutes to tell us was incorrectly wired. Cost us $120., but the washer now worked. Washed clothes put them in the new dryer only to find out it would not heat. When we finally got QCA Electric information and called him he was about as rude as a person could be. Refused to take responsibility for the screw up. Said we should have called him, which we did try to get his information multiple times. Even stated how did he know we didn't sabotage to get him to pay for our appliances. We wanted to come to his office and talk about it, refused to give office address, address online was a residential area. Refused to give information or even a list of all wiring done in the home so we could have someone else check everything. We have since realized that the fan/light in living room doesn't work either along with lights in attic , closets. Has been a nightmare. My family calls it the cursed house due to all the issues found with his less than professional work. read more

Problem with starting home AC in 5/24. Chuck responded about 3 PM. Finally left about 6. The AC would start and run but he said,"I don't know what was wrong." His bill $954. Replaced 3 parts. At least 2 were unnecessary. Retail price of the parts $122.43 (Grainger). His charge for parts $338 for labor $488.75 plus $65 service. It's 9/4 24. The HVAC is down again. Helpful over the phone, but 'wrote the wrong date down, and didn't show up as agreed upon. When he finally did call back, on the evening of the appointment, he said he'd be sure to call and fix my outlet after the weekend. Never called Never showed. If you are thinking about calling them be prepared for highway robbery. The service person was knowledgeable and put our minds to ease about the problem...that we should of fixed on our own. The work wasn't worth $145.50! The only thing that he repaired was an outlet. The parts cost $3.00. When I asked him why the bill was so high, he replied that the owner needed to pay his union dues and benefits. He tried to make us feel like we got a bargain because "Other people charge more". Call around and find someone more reasonable unless you like to waste your hard earned money on a greedy business. read more

I had QCA Electric at my home this morning. They showed up on time with all the tools and supplies needed to do the job. After determining what needed to be done with the job at hand, with my permission they asked to check out some other potential issues. What they found was frightening. Bare, burnt wires in a junction box that was inactive. Had that breaker been turned on, who knows what might have transpired. The work done on my home was professional, and done in a timely manner. Was as good as it gets! Had an emergency and a neighbor recommended QCA Electric. Called late Friday and they came on Saturday morning to assess damage and ensure the property was safe.
