My son and I have been using this studio for years, and it's a great place to see the difference between whatever you get at Fantastic Sam's versus what an actual hair studio can be when it comes to getting a hair and beard trim, especially as a male. I didn't realize the difference before, but now I do, and I'd never have it any other way. Also, hot towels. I love hot towels. They have hot towels--and yes, a lot of places have them--but the way Modern Man uses them makes the experience that much better. And unlike some other male-oriented salons, they don't do the awkward neck massage with a little vibrating massager that's supposed to make a difference. It doesn't. The only difference it makes is increasing the chance I'll never return to that place. Modern Man has the formula down. Every visit I leave happy and I'm confident you'll feel the same way--especially if you use Danda (but all the stylists I've had are great!)...but don't book her up too quickly, or I won't be able to get an appointment. Rafael, who owns the place, is a really sincere, excellent barber with over 15 years experience, and it's the only real Barbershop I could find open on a Sunday :) Baseline Barbershop doesn't look like much from the outside...it's next to an auto repair place, it has a few empty chairs inside, and it has advertisements in the window for buying and selling gold....I hesitantly went in on a Sunday afternoon :) I'm pretty picky about barbers because I went to a really good one in Boston for a year, and I've tried to find a good barber ever since. I was really surprised that I got one of the best haircuts I've gotten in a long time. Great barber. The cut was quick but done with care. A haircut is just $10. I've been going to the shop since day 1, and its been a professional experience every time. Maybe they hired the wrong guy once, but he's gone and the crew is solid now. There is no way you guys lack common sense right??? You see someone waiting and you guys don't ask or tell them you can't cut their hair?? Why let a customer just sit there and waste an hour and 45 minutes. Funny thing is they couldn't even look at me to tell me they couldn't cut my hair. This place is unprofessional and filled with guys who don't even take pride in their work. This place has declined drastically and these barbers definitely pick their friends instead of using a system they have in place. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've been to shops all over Mesa and Gilbert, including V's Barbershop and several others, trying to find "my spot." I almost didn't write this because I don't want this place getting too busy, but these guys deserve the recognition. The shop is clean, everyone is welcoming and friendly, and most importantly--they know what they're doing with the clippers. Jonathan cut my hair, and he absolutely nailed it. The fade was clean, blended perfectly, and exactly what I was looking for. If you're picky about your haircut, especially if you like short, clean fades, I'd definitely recommend giving Two Guys Barbershop a try. I'm sure they can handle just about any style, but I can personally vouch for the quality of their fades. It's refreshing to find a local, old-school barbershop that focuses on giving great haircuts and treating customers right. I'll definitely be back

Sure enough when I left that chair one side was fuzzier than the other, I had red razor marks and above all my cut was uneven all around. I've never felt more embarrassed to walk back out just to be laughed at which again was what they were doing as I had my back turned walking out, and then having to go into work like that. I'm normally not someone to say anything but this was absolutely unacceptable and beyond unprofessional.

No coupons or punch cards, either. A shave would have been extra. The guy was friendly (I spaced his name - older guy). No masking. He didn't wear one, and I couldn't because I was getting a haircut. Which is mostly in-line with the rest of the businesses in Gilbert. I will probably return here. He did a good job.

We walked in and Jordan and Fransisco immediately greeted us with a warm welcome. My son wasn't really sure what he wanted so I explained to Fransisco he has stick straight fine hair and not all cuts work for him. He recommended a traditional cut. We said OK and he went to work. Both Francisco and Jordan chatted us up while they worked and the boss man even stopped in and it was a pleasure to meet and talk with him too. The shop is brand new and squeaky clean! My son Bryson loves his haircut! We wish we didn't live so far away so this could become our regular barber shop.
