This place rules. While the name is misleading and you'll be disappointed if you're coming here looking to do any sort of skating, what you'll find instead is a charming bar with nostalgic decor and an entire room of arcade games. Whether it's NBA Jam or Pinball, the games here actually work and give you something to do as you imbibe. I went around Thanksgiving weekend and appreciated the creepy human-sized Chewbacca that moves it's face, greeting guests under the lovely disco ball above. Frozen drinks, wine, hard seltzer and cocktails occupy most of their menu space, at great prices. Mostly I'm charmed by the kitsch of it all, and the booth seating that is perfect for 6 friends but no more. Their full calendar of events include drag shows, dance parties, and karaoke nights. I wanted to go skating and googled local rinks near me and this BAR/ arcade came up. Upon arrival I was funkdafied. Cute very disco like decor and the feels felt like a good time. Just not a skating rink! Haha Ordered a happy hour frozen $5 pina colada with a $4 floater for good measure. It was tasty. They also host shows etc according to the bartender. LGBTQ friendly as per the decor. Arcade is dope and there are classic games ofc at a higher price point than we remember but hey it's worth it! This place is the most fun. Incredible 90s ambience. Was hopping on a Wednesday night. We loved the 3 little piggies nachos with the added verde salsa... plenty for two people. I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!! I came here for the first time yesterday for a little early birthday celebration. It was my first time here. I've been missing out!! It's very easy to get here from the surrounding areas. The Chauncey stop on the J train is two blocks away. Along with the B20 & 60 buses. You can't miss it from the street. It's a huge pink building on the corner. They have an enormous covered outdoor seating section. Must be nice in the warmer months. There's plenty of room inside as well. The bar is long and has lots of seating. They have various kinds of seating. A few tables and stools and booth seating. They also have a narrow, winding staircase that leads up to a second floor with more seating. The ambiance was chill and crazy friendly. Everyone who works here was great! They light up and revolve a disco ball as the hours pass. The music when I was here leaned more towards indie pop with some New Wave here and there. They have a jukebox, but I don't think it was functional. On the left side of the bar, they have boardgames. I saw The Secret World of Alex Mac, Girl Talk, a New Kids on the Block one... had a good variety. I started off with a well Gin and Tonic. Wasn't the best, but I suppose that was my fault for getting the well Gin. My second drink was MUCH better. They have 2 frozen drinks. I got the Pain Killer with a shot of Goslings dark rum. The Pain Killer is Pina Colada with orange jjuice. That drink was !! The Great South Bay Tipsy Tea I also had there was the best alcoholic tea that I've had. Their cocktail menu is vast, and they have a great selection of cans and stuff on tap. Also a pretty decent wine selection. There's also a bucket of free condoms on the bar if you need. In the back is the game room, and Mr. Taco kitchen. They have Pac Man and a few other arcade games along with pinball and a claw machine game that was pretty easy to play since I was able to grab 2 stuffed octopuses! The kitchen opens up at 4, and it has a pretty big Mexian menu. I had the grilled shrimp bowl with a side of off the cob street corn. Oh my gosh, that food was absolutely YUMMY! My bowl was actually served in a ceramic bowl. The portions were generous, and my meal was under $20. I tried some of my friends' fries, and they were delicious as well. Perfectly cooked, huge, and fluffy. The kitchen also delivers! The place is spotless. I think there were two single bathrooms in the place. The one I went to was clean, stocked, and fully functional. Covid Review: Solid place with even more solid drinks. Self-proclaimed as a cocktail bar first then amusement center second. They actually make the drinks when ordered instead of serving from large pre-made vats typical in the the age of Corona. Even better, drinks are served in real barware instead of plastic. I loved the variety of seating options which were perfect for someone coming alone to sit at the bar, a small group of friends to take some downstairs tables, or a cozier couple to sit upstairs in a booth. Two improvement areas / things to note if you are going: 1. We came on a night when the food menu is limited and we didn't realize how quickly things would sell out. By the time we had our first drink and went to order food everything was sold out except a cucumber salad. So if you are planning to eat either order ASAP when you arrive or make sure you go on a night their menu is more extensive. 2. The music was really loud to the point that my date and I both noted we felt like we had to yell to hear each other. Easy fix but definitely suggested. read more

I went for the first time for a family friend's birthday this past weekend. The drinks themselves are not cheap, but that is warranted with how good they taste and the amount of alcohol they give you. I had the drink with pop rocks on the rim, I was lit after four of them and I still wanted more! Lastly the food is wonderful. The guac and chips was addicting and the pulled pork quesadilla was savory and filling. Also as an added bonus this seemed like a super inclusive, queer friendly establishment. All night skate makes my 80's baby heart sing with all the early 90's nostalgia that shaped so much of my life with a beautifully curated menu of well crafted cocktails. I really wish they'd partner back with the previous food provider that made the Japanese food because that chicken katsu bowl was so delicious & so was their onigiri's.
