This ended up not being true so I spent way more money for no extra reassurance. The pickup was supposed to be at their downtown office location on a Friday night around 6pm. They said it would be easier for me to just drop it off and not worry about timing so I made dinner plans my last night near downtown, however I got an expected call that afternoon the driver was at my house for pickup in North County. I wasn't even home and was running errands. He came back 2 hours later and I then had to spend $75 on an Uber to dinner since I no longer had a vehicle. Drop off was supposed to be on Friday, but ended up being Saturday. No biggie, except it turned into a whole ordeal. I get a text that the car is already dropped off at a Walmart parking lot 30 minutes away from my location. They claimed it was the zip code I provided, however there is email documentation of the address I sent them of where I was at (and there happened to be a Walmart 2 miles away if they wanted to do drop off in that type of parking lot). I was initially told the driver couldn't wait and I would need to wait until the following day or he would need to drive to Raleigh for another drop off and back and get my car in 6 hours, however he did end up waiting. They also asked if he could just leave my key in the center console, but I said no since my belongings were there and that was too big of a risk. I had to pay $31 for an Uber to the Walmart however they DID Venmo me back for this, so I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because I do appreciate that much!! The delivery driver was super nice, however informed me that he DOES work for a broker company and does not work for Auto Ex. I had tried to confirm this with Auto Express Inc at pickup when I noticed the inspection email came from a different company and couldn't get a direct response from them. They said they were "part of their fleet", but I guess that's open to interpretation. The driver showed me texts from the company to him and that the Walmart parking lot was the drop off address he received from the start and there were no talks of any other provided address. I would give the delivery company 3-4 stars! They did a good job and my car arrived in good condition.

With Patriot, communication was stellar throughout. After I submitted a quote request online, I received an email back within 24 hours with a very reasonable quote. I had a couple of questions and the rep (Allison) was great. She even suggested putting some extra information in the notes about where to do the pick-up and drop-off (something that was completely messed up by the other company). On the day of the pickup, the driver texted me to let me know exactly when he would be there (the other company messed that up too). We talked about the best place to do the pickup and he went to the place that I suggested (the other company insisted on an illegal and dangerous location even though I told them there was a safer and legal spot just around the corner). I asked the Patriot driver to give me his best estimate on the drop off date because I needed to book a flight. He told me he would text me after picking up the other the cars. And he did!!! He arrived on the date he said he would. He texted me about where he thought he could do the drop off and I was able to suggest a better location within walking distance of my house. The movers were very professional and careful with packing and moving every item. While one of the items was damaged on arrival, the mover submitted the information immediately to the office. In fact, they were able to have it delivered by that evening! It took us a long time to be able to schedule a date because our move was very up in the air up until the last minute, and Luke was able to help me get everything scheduled appropriately. We moved a 1 bedroom apartment and a vehicle, as they do bundle deals. They sent someone out to take inventory of our apartment before we even scheduled anything to get an accurate quote that was VOLUME based, not weight based. Meaning they would not turn around on moving day and say "hey this was heavier than we thought we gotta charge more," which many friends and family had told me horror stories about. The quote they gave me after the in home estimate was what I paid. The men they sent to pack up our apartment were exceedingly professional and packed everything up in 2.5 hours. I packed almost all boxes, they packed my kitchen and the rest of the apartment. They packed all my paintings delicately, took off the stands and such as needed from our TVs. I didn't have to lift a finger. Everything took almost the full 2 week window to arrive, however it's cross country, so we planned for this. We received almost daily texts about our household items, updating us on where the truck was along the route. For both the car and household we got calls/texts the day before to schedule a drop off window. Delivery of the car came first: they need to deliver on an 18 wheeler so it's possible you will need to Uber to a pickup location(our was only 8 minutes away in a supermarket lot), however the driver will comp you for this. Just bring change just in case! Car was in great shape, no problems there. Household items arrived 2 days later, and the movers were equally professional and quick. They reassembled anything they had to take apart for the move. All in all, I had ZERO issues with this company and they did everything as expected and promised. I was very lucky by "moving standards" because not so much as a single glass cracked. I have nothing bad to say. I wholly recommend this company if hiring movers is in your budget.
