We hadn't been back to Sybil's in two years, so I was curious to see whether the food and service…read morewere still as good as I remembered. I'm happy to say they are. My #107 omelet was just as good as before, with no noticeable changes in quality or preparation. My wife ordered one of the senior breakfasts and left completely satisfied without needing one of the restaurant's famous sweet rolls. A heads-up if you're planning to order a sweet roll: the current price is $8.50, although the printed menu still reflects the older price. Our waitress explained they switched suppliers to Swells Sweets, which increased the cost, but the menus are only updated annually. I appreciated the explanation. As for the sweet roll itself, it was a little dry for my taste, but the generous icing helped balance it out. One detail I appreciated was the coffee service. My wife ordered the medium roast, and I ordered the dark roast. The waitress placed a paper coaster under my cup so anyone refilling coffee would know which blend to pour. It's a simple system, but it shows attention to detail that many restaurants overlook. Check out the photos of the different sugar and sweetener selections available for coffee and tea, along with the variety of jam choices served with toast. Those small touches help create a welcoming breakfast experience. At 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday, the restaurant was packed, yet we still managed to find a parking space and a booth. Even with a full dining room, the service remained friendly, attentive, and efficient. Two years later, Sybil's continues to deliver a consistently good breakfast experience. That's becoming harder to find, and it's why we'll continue coming back.

Their omelet selection is amazing and they asked you to order the omelets by numbers because they have a ton. I had a great visit to Bentley's. It's located in Downtown Salem, inside of the Grand Hotel, which…read moreis connected to the Salem Convention Center. I was originally going to sit in the dining room and pay full price for what I wanted, but my dining partner suggested Happy Hour. That was the best move we could have made. All of the food was priced at $10. Some of the portions were slightly smaller than the full dinner sized portions. Dulce was our server. She was very nice, but there was a period of time where I wondered when she was coming back. Other than that, she was perfect. I ordered the Happy Hour Bentley's Mac and Cheese, the Bentley's House Salad and the Pork Belly tacos. I enjoyed all three entree's. The Mac and cheese was really good. The bacon dust was small bits of bacon, which I liked. I loved the flavor of the pork belly tacos. I felt the tortillas could have been warmed more so they would have been more pliable and less firm. The house salad was delish as well. The restaurant is set up nicely. I loved the fire pit. The lighting is perfect and the other staff I encountered were very nice and accommodating.. I had a 5pm reservation on a Tuesday and when we walked in, let's just say I didn't need a reservation. However, the restaurant started to fill in as we were leaving.

We were seated promptly by the Manager on duty in a cozy booth table. Service was friendly and cordial. I really love the ambiance of the Bentley in the Grand Hotel Salem. The high ceilings make it a very spacious feel without feeling crowded. My wife loved her custard like French Toast and I absolutely devoured my Chicken Fried Chicken with Chorizo gravy. The highlight of the Brunch was our Baked Brie appetizer. A wonderful blend of flavors all in one dish. We hope this Mother's Day Brunch is an annual mark your calendar item for Bentley's. We will definitely be back.

The breading was well seasoned but unfortunately too much so. I was a little too salty. Otherwise a great meal. Hash browns were a little under if that is your thing. The wings were yummy too. Spicy peach was a good choice. I personally didn't care for the garlic Parmesan but others did. I would return and try other things for sure.

That being said they were super friendly and as fast as they could be (there were a lot of people but it was still a reasonable wait). The sandwiches were ooey gooey cheesy goodness with perfectly crisped bread. And if that weren't enough cheese they also had their super cheesy mac n cheese as a side. It was a really nice treat and even with a limited menu of 3 options it was a tough choice, so I can image a regular menu being a much harder decision.
