What a charming little eatery. We stopped by here on a Sunday around noon. I expected it to be packed and it was just the right amount of folks to seem busyish but not jam packed. A perfect vibe. I order the skinny Belgian waffle (which is essentially the same as a regular waffle) but very tasty and house made. I had an iced tea which they also brew onsite. They have a great back patio where you can chill outside and they have a gas fire table to enjoy. Plenty of blankets should the temperature start to fade you can still be cozy. I'm anxious to come back and try more items and they have some sandwiches if you prefer a lunch item. Definitely a must stop. read more

Friends and I were doing some wine tasting in the area and found this little gem of a cafe. Excellent food, friendly staff. The menu was unique as it is a waffle bar. I had the Brie and Jam with hazelnuts. Delicious. I also had an orange and cardamon latte. A hug in a cup. Amity is a little town and a bit out of the way, but I look forward to going back just to revisit The Common Cup. read more

This was a nice surprise as we found ourselves in the Amity area and wanted a bite to eat before wine tasting. We looked on Yelp for places in the area and Common Cup came up. It's a very small place in a building with some other places and has seating at a counter or on a nice patio in the back. The girls serving and preparing were very nice and the food was good. We had a mix of savory and sweet waffles. I had the reconstructed hash waffle with poached egg and. Pickled onions and arugula. If you want some more meat then the warriors version has a pork gravy. My spouse had the Benny which was two poached eggs ham and thin sourdough waffle. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Jeanne was our server and happened to be the owner. She was so friendly and helpful with other suggestions for the area. Good coffee and our neighbor had a great latte. Definitely recommend going there for breakfast / brunch. read more

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb and were pleased to see that there was a place to get coffee less than a block from where we were staying. What a cute little coffee shop! We ordered Breve's to go but noticed that they had an extensive waffle menu with all kinds of unique toppings along with other tasty sounding breakfast items. Food and coffee were very yummy here! Ordered the Elvis waffle which was heavy on the peanut butter. I needed just a little bit more sweetness to counteract the nutty flavor. But I still enjoyed my breakfast. We sat outside on a back patio. There are a few seats at the counter when ordering, so seating inside is limited. Do not pass through Amity without checking out The Trade Street Commons and sitting down for one of the creative waffle creations and the best coffee in Amity at The Common Cup. There are a dozen signature waffles combos to choose from, plus specials, plus you can design your own with many choices of toppings and fillings. For me, it's a Lavender Honey Latte and the Reconstructed Hash waffle (a waffle topped with shredded potatoes, cheddar, green onions, arugula, pickled onions and a perfectly poached egg - YES PLEASE! All of this can be enjoyed in a unique setting that is reminiscent of an old soda fountain. You can get your coffee to go, but, why would you? Take a beat and enjoy. read more

Worth the search (next to Blue goat), I highly recommend this yummy coffee-waffle combo! Small counter space to eat at, but additional tables to the side. I had the savory waffle with poached egg, delicious! Cappuccino foam & flavor was right on. The batter of the waffles was buttery & delicious, didn't even need syrup. With the poached egg I was craving some hollandaise sauce, but the greens were great too. read more

During the pandemic my daughter ordered me a hash brown waffle. It had pickled onions, arugula, and a poached egg all on top. It was amazing. I am told to try the same waffle with bacon in it. A tiny spot in a tiny town, it definitely counts as a hidden gem! As the name suggests, they serve coffee drinks, which are great, but I go there for the waffles. The waffle menu is robust and includes sweet favorites like Oregon Berry which has a seasonal selection of fruits and whipped cream atop fat, fluffy, perfectly textured waffles. It's the savory choices that are standouts. The same delicious home made waffles resplendent with bacon bits and topped with poached egg, arugula and pickled onion. Or why not get waffles topped with sausage gravy? The reconstructed hash is delicious too, basically savory hash browns with bacon formed into a waffle lookalike. Great little coffee waffle shop! Locally owned by a sweet gal who knows business and customer service! A great place to take a friend or two and chat and catchup or meet a business Assoc. and talk ideas or numbers. It's close enough that my wife and I can go for a nice walk, have a cup and a waffle and feel that hometown comfort. Hubby had the 2-meat BBQ plate with pulled pork and 1/2 rack of ribs. He really liked his ribs. He was pleased with the baked beans, too. And I got the steak salad. Delicious! When trying a new place, I always go for that and I was not disappointed one bit! I tried both the baker's roll (rosemary and sage today) and the heart attack roll. Neither made me think I was eating GF. As first-timers, we were given free chocolate chip cookies. The centers were soft and moist with crisp edges. I do like a ymmy sweet to finish off the meal. It's really nice to have a GF restaurant where the family can all go and find something without compromising selection or taste. We'll certainly be back!!

You wouldn't even know this place is here unless you are looking for it, and wow.. you should be looking for it. The waffles are so good! There are so many to choose from! I personally had the eggs Benedict waffle, and it was delicious! They even have a brand new espresso machine. I had a vanilla latte and it was also delicious! The owner was super attentive and was cooking in the kitchen with her other staff. Her and her other employees were very nice and upbeat. If you are looking for a good breakfast place, this is it!
