She has dementia, but Dr…read more Judy was really good with her, and so the first two or three times I didn't go in to the consultation room. (Besides, I heard everything from the waiting room.) The last time we went, I decided to go in because Mom's ADLs have diminished, so I needed to better understand how to care for her hearing aids. After several generally good experiences, I was a surprised at how Dr. Judy was quite rude to me, creating "them against me" dynamic with Mom . She gave me a snippy little lecture about not making an effort to help Mom hear better. (Umm, I know how to speak to the hard of hearing, thanks to our family's terrible hearing genetics!) Also, she was pushy with the Sales. Mom's hearing aids were not under warranty any longer, but are generally working fine. Instead of ordering new ones as hoped, Dr. J reluctantly (and grumpily) adjusted her current pair. Is the expectation to get new hearing aids every four years? At that price? I feel she's used to strong-arming her elderly patients into unnecessary updates. I would definitely suggest shopping around. Three stars for the previous good experiences, most of which happened when the devices were still under warranty.

I was impressed. When my needs increased, I sought her out to find she now owner her own business. I made my appointment since I knew I'd put off hearing aids long enough. I was seen by her associate Dr Juliet Stuber who was delightful. She was extremely thorough and slowly & carefully went through my evaluation, testing and comprehensive overview/explanation. She never once ever even mentioned it was time for hearing aids, but rather allowed me to make my own decision etc. i had done a great deal of my own research before this appointment and interviewed many hearing aid customers / patients. We discussed brands, types and features of several type & models and I went with the company my own research suggested. Dr Stuber explained the type & brand were perfect for my hearing loss.
