From our initial appointment, to the final touches on my…read morehardsscaping, my experience with Titan Pavers has been nothing short of exceptional. 1) The proposal phase - Max was quick to respond to my initial inquiry and came at our appointed time to evaluate the scope of the work. I was looking to install pavers over ~1500 sq feet in my back and side yard, with planting areas and an artificial turf corner for my dogs to do their business. Max immediately took note of the drainage issues that I had on my property and came up with a very technically sound plan of installing a sump pump and draining the water onto the street. I was fearful of the cost as it sounded like a lot of labor involved (and it was!), but I was pleasantly surprised that his quote was in-line with the other quotes I received that did not have a drainage plan. After a couple of very professional and kind email exchanges back and forth, we were able to negotiate a final price that I was happy with without compromising the look I was going for. 2) Work phase - Max estimated that the work would take 2 weeks, and they completed it in 1.5 weeks. What a crew he had! They were amazingly efficient and professional. They had to manually haul away 4 full containers of dirt to get my property at the right drainage levels. Max came every day to check on progress, and his onsite foreman was there the entire time to make sure everything went smoothly and it did! I was so impressed with the amount of coordination the team had. The last thing to be done was to install the tiles that I bought for the stair risers. They ended up being a bit too large and each one had to be cut down to size. It was very labor intensive, but Max was okay with it because his motto during the entire time was "I want you to be completely happy with the result". And I totally was. My yard is gorgeous with the "Spanish courtyard" feel that I was going for! 3) The aftermath - We had a full day of rain this past week in our area and it was a great way to see how the drainage worked. We used to have puddles form all over our property after a rainy day (mosquito heaven!), but now my entire yard properly drains out to the street. No more puddles. No more overflow water rushing into my back neighbor's yard. It was perfect. I am looking forward to working with Titan Pavers again once it's time for me to repave my driveway. In July 2026, we received an estimate and agreed on the price for our driveway paving project. In August, Max agreed to obtain the necessary permit from the City of San Marino. After checking with the City, we discovered that an arborist report was required. By mid-September, I had obtained the approved arborist report, and the City confirmed that Titan Paving could proceed with pulling the permit. At the end of September, Max informed me that they were working on corrections requested by the City, and we mutually agreed to begin the project on October 21. However, since October 5, Max has completely stopped responding to my numerous text messages and phone calls. Despite our agreed-upon start date, I have received absolutely no updates or explanation. I fully understand that contractors may encounter scheduling conflicts, unexpected issues, or even decide not to take on a project. That is perfectly acceptable. What is unacceptable is completely ignoring a customer after months of planning and an agreed-upon start date. I have been patient and cooperative throughout this process, including taking the initiative to obtain the required arborist report. The least I expected was the courtesy of a simple response. This experience has been extremely frustrating and a complete waste of my time. Reliability, accountability, and basic communication are essential qualities in any professional business, and unfortunately, Titan Paving has failed to demonstrate them
