Later in the day a 2 other stores submitted quotes as well. The following day I received a follow up message from Technics offering no charge for removal and no tax on installation, I couldn't refuse such an offer. I drove over once the roads cleared and had the tint removed and new tint applied. They charged what they quoted, no haggling, nothing but great customer service at a great cost. We got his ADVISED message that the windshield is too dark to drive at night time, they will release us on Saturday 10:30. Sir! I told you I need my car on Friday! I gotta go work on Saturday. You couldn't give customers whenever the time you would like to release. There was also funny thing happened. Once they sent out us this message. This mother fxxker never picked up the phone. We were in the front of his shop for two hours. we can heard someone's walking inside of shop, but they didn't open gate for us. we even called police helped us. This lair still ignored our call and message. FUNNY AS FFFFFFUCK! On Saturday morning, we received a message that they stated our car is ready to pick up. Alright. My husband and my daddy drove another one hour to Roanoke. Let me tell you the other funny thing. Our old window tint was still on the window. Which means this lair didn't touch my car. Tint Experts where fully booked a week out when I contacted them but it needed to get done so I scheduled and asked if they could call me if they had any cancellations and I could get in sooner. I got my car windows tinted two days later. Now, I was looking for a good quality tint, that would not bubble or fade with time but I was also looking for someone knowledgeable. The back windows have the original manufacturers privacy glass & I didn't want a huge noticeable grade variation between my back and front windows. Gavin was great! As soon as I walked in, he showed me the different Tint grading, demonstrated the heat variation between the level of tints they offer, he listened to my concerns & what my expectations were. Then I personally saw him take extra measures to calculate the rating on my existing privacy glass vs the tint I had picked for the front to achieve a consistent look & grade throughout my entire vehicle. One of the owners (Matthew) ran the glass side, of which he spent a considerable amount of time explaining the differences in windshields that come from larger companies, such as the dealer or Safelite Autoglass vs. his glass. From a price standpoint, there is a remarkable difference between larger companies (i.e., $280 on up) vs Epic's ($135-140). I had to have an additional seal placed on my windshield that made the final price $155. Further, I didn't feel as if I was "sold" anything more than what I came here to purchase. No unnecessary add-ons & upsells, as well as no long-winded explanations that would have led to confusion. Matthew was to the point, yet showed additional customer care by recommending not to remove the protective tape for 24 hours to allow the glass + seal to cure. He could've just said "have at it, your good to go", yet he didn't. Further, he didn't rush through the place replacement process. It took roughly 80-90 minutes from start to finish in order to do the job correctly. Epiq Auto does additional work, such as vehicle customizations, stereo installation, and other repairs in conjunction with glass work. Given their level of customer care + quality service, I'll certainly be back.
