In the interest of full disclosure, one of the family members that runs this business is dating my friend. However, I have had experience with several movers and my own horror moves without movers and this company is by far my favorite. They were on-time, professional, polite. The pricing was what was estimated and they were very helpful in making sure my things arrived safe and sound - nothing broken. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they tend to be quit busy so I wasn't able to book them the first time around. However, they did refer me to another decent mover. read more

This company was AWESOME! On time, fast, courteous...highly recommend! They arrived when they said. We got 3 movers instead of two and they worked perfectly, quickly and safely. Took direction well. read more

Found these movers through my Realtor. I was concerned after reading reviews here on Yelp, but these guys did an excellent job. Their quote was accurate. Everything was disassembled, moved, and reassembled without any damage. The team was friendly and worked hard. They took extra steps to keep my place clean. Only reason I knocked off a star is that they arrived almost 2 hours late due to an office mix up. Also, I suggest buying plastic runners with adhesive on one side from the hardware store before the move to protect carpet during the move. If the movers had a roll on the truck, I'd have bought it from them. But again, all worked out well. read more

This is the 3rd time I've used All American Movers. The 1st time, about 5 years ago, was to move me from Marina del Rey to Hermosa Beach. Earlier this year, we had our hardwood floors refinished and they moved the furniture on that floor to the garage. A few days ago, they moved all of our stuff to storage units in Irvine when we moved onto our boat in Newport. They are clearly as good as it gets. Nice folks to work with, they work hard and fast and were very careful.. We rented two 10 x 20' units for our stuff and one 10 x 15' for some stuff we plan to give to our kids later because we're downsizing. After loading all 3 units, they realized we could put it all in 2 and still set it up so our kids to get their stuff easily. They still came in under budget. My hat's off to Jon, Tom as well as Roger and his moving crew. Sorry but I forgot the names of the other guys, but they all turned the nightmare of moving the contents of a 3800 sq ft house into a relatively hassle free day. Good guys. We intend to use them again when we move to Sacramento in a few years and do recommend them to anyone need moving or storage services. This is one of the very few reviews I've every written, they are just that good, thanks again guys. read more

Avoid this company, they have a really bad attitude towards their customers and they recommended us to choose the flat rate, because they said they will work very slow if we pay hourly...how ridiculous it is! read more

Roger, Victor and Javier were timely, careful and accommodating. I've used All American twice in the South Bay this past year and have no complaints. Rates are extremely competitive as well. DS read more

I would strongly advise against using this company. They doubled the agreed invoiced amount after they received my initial deposit. Each time they gave to drop off my materials they didn't show up and didn't bother to notify me that they weren't going to. It Wasn't until the fourth attempt that they actually at arrived because I told them the time they wanted wasnt going to work since I would be at work and wouldn't be able to let them in the building. Customer service was very unlrofessional and several items were damaged upon arrival. Overall a terrible experience. read more

Joe and Sabino showed up to move us from Hermosa Beach to Redondo Beach. Very nice guys...had trouble with our big fridge and small doorways but they figured it out (had to take apart and reassemble). It's a giant bonus to feel comfortable when you meet people who are handling your personal items!. I would recommend these guys to anyone!! read more

i hired them never called back five days went by nothing i gave them a deposit of 773 and the movers never showed up i couldn't get no one one the phone and when the movers did come five days later its was someone that they contracted and they want to charge an extra 1,600 more i finally got someone on the phone in dispatch and they told me that i was getting my money back that was the 20th now it's the 26 and still nothing and when i call them i'm getting the run around. All American movers is by far the best moving company in the South Bay. Gone through them twice and each time has been a pleasantly easy move each time. The guys are always so nice and well mannered. Also very professional workers. I've gone through other companies before and I would feel awkward and creeped out being in the same room as the movers. When calling to set up the appointment, the office employees are also helpful, and willing to answer any questions needed. read more

If you want a positive experience with your move as we did, do yourself a favor and go to All-American Movers' website and look at the hundreds of names of Realtors in the area who recommended this moving company. Note that Realtors are cautious about their recommendations. My wife and I have used this company to move us at least five times and everyone has been a very pleasant experience. We could not recommend any moving company more highly than American Movers. Our most recent move was complicated. We packed from one location and made two stops along the way. The end location was 110 miles from the original pick up. They were quick, efficient, and courteous. There are lots of companies with American in their name. Please do not confuse them with this high-quality company. "All American Movers" is the name you are looking for. read more

Look no further! I called All American Movers because I was on the phone with a friend talking about needing movers to move my family within Manhattan Beach. She told me she was witnessing great moving service that very day - All American! I called All American. Within a day or two Tom came out and gave me a quick and painless estimate. The estimate was easy to understand and very fair. No complex rules of engagement. He said, "That's it, we'll be here." Moving day arrived right in the middle of what was the most busy June in our family's history! We were stressed, to say the least. The All American team arrived at my home on June 20 as promised. The entire team stood at my door and introduced themselves. They were calm, happy and ready to get at it. Joe, Ruben, Sean, Carlos and Javier - professional, careful, fast, relaxed, and hardworking are just some of the words I would use to describe these guys. They made our impossibly stressful day so much less stressful. These guys were everything Tom had promised. I can't say enough about this team. They represented All American Movers the way I would want my employees representing me or my own company. Top notch. They took care of everything. The load was fast. The unload was equally fast. They even successfully calmed a neighbor who needed to access his garage in the cramped sand section - all in stride. They were patient with us during unload. They went above and beyond, even stopping to help translate to a worker in my house who needed something from me. In the end, I paid less than my estimate and the value I received in return was exceptional. When does that happen these days?? I highly recommend All American Movers!! Five stars. read more

I was recommended thiscompany for my first experience with a moving company. I hired a 3-man crew to remove about 60 boxes I had prepared from my 2 bedroom-2 bath house as well as the garage. I had not finished packing some clothes, some books, the 2 TV's and all the electronics. They helped us complete the task with their hard work and extra boxes. Since there is still a wait for escrow, I am storing my items in their facilities for two weeks. I await transit from storage to my new home when that transaction is closed. Thus far, I can only praise the efficiency and speed that this group of three demonstrated in gettng the items out. They arrived promptly at 8 AM and had everything done by about 3 PM. That includes packing my extra items plus some items in my garage. We just sat back and watched in awe, never worried about how they were handling the items. I still await the second part of my transit and will update my review once that happens. So far I am impressed with All American Movers and I would gladly recommend them to a friend. read more

I use yelp for almost everything so I was unsure of this company based on the reviews. However, I took a family member's recommendation to use All American Movers and could not be happier. I had two movers move a studio size worth of furniture. Paulo and Juan were incredible! Exactly on time, extremely hardworking and very efficient. Juan carefully wrapped my 3 drawer dresser full of clothes in a blanket and saran-type wrapping and carried...carried! the entire thing up a flight of stairs BY HIMSELF. I just had all of my walls repainted so I was especially thrilled to see them first wrap the corners of the walls with blankets and lay mats across my hardwood floors. I also appreciated the confirmation call the day before. I would like to thank John, Paulo , Juan and the rest of the team for a pleasant experience (I did not have to life a finger or worry at all that something was going to break), and the price could not have been beat! PS. Was charged an hourly rate (which was best for my small move) so I can't comment on the complaints about flat rates. read more

Ruben and Carlos were early and awesome. They moved me out of a storage unit and into a three story home. These guys are experienced and professional. I won't be moving any time soon but if I were these guys would be the only ones to call. read more

Do not do business with this company!!! Scheduled a move with All American Movers a couple of weeks before our scheduled moving day and was assured that we were on the schedule and everything was go to go. Then on moving day we received a phone call about 15 minutes after our scheduled arrival time and were told that the movers were running a little late and would be there in about half an hour. About one hour after the movers were originally scheduled to arrive we received a second phone call saying that our move had been canceled!!! At this point all of the moving trucks in the area had been rented and there was no way to get a truck even if I could have found help. Strangely enough about two hours after we were scheduled to start the move one of the movers walked up to the house saying that he was there for the move seemingly unaware of anything that had transpired? Had there at least been the foresight or decency to let us know earlier we could have possibly figured something else out. We spent over a month getting everything ready to go for the move and then had All American Movers cancel an hour after they we supposed to have started, this is completely unacceptable and put a family with two small children in a terrible situation at a stressful time in there life. read more

We recently moved from Los Angeles to Orange County and had a great experience with All American Movers( the family run business in Manhattan Beach). The two movers arrived at our house early and immediately assessed all of our things and began organizing the boxes for loading. They were friendly, efficient and most importantly- genuinely interested in identifying fragile items and packing them with care. From start to finish- these guys were awesome! The moved us door to door in 6 hours. We were quoted a very fair price and quite honestly we would have paid more! In the past we've had horrible moving experiences. All American Movers restored our faith that there are great movers out there! When you contact this company- make sure they are the family owned All American Movers that started in Manhattan Beach. read more

I love you guys! Showed up on time and wrapped all my furniture very well. I have very expensive handmade wood furniture and the guys took good care. We cannot be happier with the service we received from All American Movers. They were on time, professional, knowledgable and handled all our items with care. We needed a company to move and store our furniture for us. We found All American Movers through word of mouth, from a friend who had used them multiple times for all her homes. Joe, Victor, Javier, Julio, Freddie, Sean and Jack were a tremendous help with the whole packing/moving process. Our stairways are very tight (being in Manhattan Beach) and we have large, heavy, expensive furniture. They were able to negotiate all of it without dinging any floors or scuffing any walls. They arrived promptly both to pack and to move. Fragile items and furniture was carefully wrapped and protected. They worked quickly, meticulously and efficiently. When it came to moving day, they were very patient with helping us to place our items of furniture, despite it being so late in the day. We have furniture in storage with them, all that was taken care of seamlessly. Moving is one of the more stressful events in one's life. Having a good moving company in your corner is half the battle won. Thank you All-American Movers, for making a difficult week manageable for us. If we had to move again, we would most certainly come back to you! read more

We hired All American Movers for our recent move and couldn't have been happier with the service! We requested three movers for a fairly big job, (moving out of an apartment, stopping by a storage unit and moving into a two story house). They showed up early and worked hard throughout the entire move. They were very detailed and careful with every piece of furniture, protecting it well. And they were so friendly! I have already recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so! Thank you Roger, Javier and Xavier! read more

This company has moved us at least 4 times and each time they have provided personnel who have been gracious, careful and extremely pleasant and accommodating. I would not call anyone else to move me every again. Just today, they brought back our items that we stored with them for over two years, all neatly packaged, safe, sound, and needing to be sorted out for what we are keeping, giving away and storing at our new home. Victor, Carlos and Fredy were so patient as I looked into each carton to see what to do with it and direct them as to where to place it. I can't say enough about how positive my experience with All American Movers has been over the years. I'm just sorry this is my first yelp review on their behalf! read more

I used AAM 20 years ago to move locally here in Redondo Beach and was very happy then. Now, 20 years later, I needed to move my older brother out of his apt. here in Redondo Beach and once again called AAM who, once again, provided a fantastic service. Joshua, Javier & Don were great. Really happy with our experience with these guys. We relocated to Santa Monica from Westchester. 4500sf house so a fairly large move. The positive experience started with Tom who did the estimate. I had a 2nd quote from Andy's in Glendale. All American came in 50% below Andy's!! We then had a great crew who packed and moved us -- JR, Henry, Joe, Joseph, Sean, Poe, Zack, and Julio. They work hard and fast, but are still detail and service oriented. And when we went to settle up the cost came in a good $500 below their estimate! read more

OMGosh! AMAZING!!!! I contacted a few other companies and received quotes. I checked Yelp and ended up going with All American. Better price mainly. Henry was professional, called the day before to confirm. The day of the move (West LA to the South Bay), they beat me to the address for the move. Not only was I impressed but the sellers were even more so. After seeing their work they wished they had known/gone with All American. The place from where the move took place was tricky. Narrow staircase down deep stairs along with a number of short staircases out the building. They moved a bedroom set with numerous pieces. Every piece was packed in blankets and wrapped protecting all the wood. Joe and Travis were the BEST! They worked together smoothly, efficiently, extremely professional! The overall experience was THE BEST! This was my first time hiring movers and would not hesitate to hire them again! Truly AMAZING! read more

First day they came to pack, and one of them stole a hundred dollars from my purse. It was their tip money. No tip that day. Next day they came did a decent job loading, they had to store my furniture for a couple of days before delivering. I am still missing some stuff. At this point, I don't care, just don't want to see them again. Very disappointed. Will never use them or refer them. read more
