So I called "Eddy" for a free estimate, he came to our place and essentially told me it would take a full day to move us. He gave me a $1400 estimate or 100 per hour. I don't think they work 14 hours a day so his math raised suspicion from the beginning. I said I was still waiting on other estimates before making my final decision. Later that day I got spammed with desperate text messages saying "I really need this job", "I'll make you a good deal". At that point I said "No thx, I'll pass". He kept spamming me so I said "Stop spamming me, I'm not interested". And he replied with the following: "Well you should of told me instead of bullshitting me im serious about my work shame on you asshole" Talk about professionalism! read more

I have known Jon the owner for many years and he has done moves for me before. They have grown a lot over the years and maybe too much since he seems to have lost touch with the business. To my surprise he sent an inexperienced crew who broke many things. I took pictures of them putting expensive furniture on the ground broken. I called him directly to put a stop to it, but that still did no good. John said he would he pay for the damages. When it came time to settle he made it so hard I just gave up due to my health issues I just did not have it in me fight over it. During my move my soon to be ex wife got one of the movers phone numbers who later without permission took one of Jon's trucks picked up the rest of my belongings and then just dumped them on my driveway. Once again John took no responsibility. I have done so much business with them in the past, and to see a class operation slip into this into this shady type company is very sad. read more

After using All American Movers many times, and receiving a a fair moving experience I've been holding back all summer and am finally writing this review. After each move we have encountered many broken items and items left at our previous residences. Unacceptable. But I never complained. However this last move in May all four of our bikes had flat tires and were bent and considerably scratched. (My bike was new at the time). All four had to be repaired . Now we just discovered my sons electric motorcycle is damaged beyond repair. All because the movers tried to jam everything into one truck as they sent too small of one for our move. My brother recently moved and didn't have a great experience with the company he used so I was really hesitant when I was booking a company for my move. I came across some positive reviews on Nextdoor and reached out to All American Movers. I explained what my brother experienced and was reassured the same wouldn't happen. I couldn't be happier with how the move went. All of my items made it unbroken. Ruben and Omar were such hard workers! They ensured all of my items were wrapped well and handled with care. They were fast, thorough and super helpful. They didn't leave until I felt comfortable with the staging of everything. Definitely night and day from what my brother experienced. We were given the name of this company by Uhaul as we needed someone to load the truck for our move. 2 young guys came, were on time and worked quickly. Unfortunately, they weren't careful in packing the furniture and damaged the night stand & jewelry armoire. They had pushed them in and scraped them on other items causing scratches & taking chunks of wood out of the bottoms. They had also put something on top which severely scratched the night stand. Apparently there's no training as to how to handle furniture. There has been not even a little scratch on my pieces before that, was very upsetting. So many better movers out there! This company does not honor reservations. They decided they weren't going to move me 4 days before my move date. The only option the guy gave me was to have them move me on a different day or 'find someone else' because they were too busy on that day now. Here's why it was an issue and why I felt it was handled poorly. 1. I booked them a MONTH in advance of my move due to the fact that they didn't have availability sooner. I was moving from one apartment to another and I wasn't able to book until the LAST day of my lease in my current apartment. 2. He called on a Monday, the move was on Friday. In the message they wanted to see if I had flexibility to move a different date because they were really busy that Friday (maybe they overbooked?). 3. When I called back to explain why I didn't have the flexibility and was fully dependent on their help - he changed to they aren't going to move me on my reservation date. So now, rather than it being a question of my flexibility, I was being told "too bad, we decided to not move you because we have larger clients". 4. I tried to appeal to him, explaining that I am a single woman, I had to be out by that date, don't have the man power or supplies to move myself. He had no empathy. Said he'd call me back by the afternoon to see if they had anything they could do, and I never heard back. What I took from that is that they don't honor the reservations you make to move with them (no matter how far in advance), and they lack integrity as they will clearly bump you for larger clients without regard. read more

I put in a request for a quote for Spring 2021 to get an idea of how much I'd need to save - I then received non stop calls, texts, emails - none of which gave me any information. When I asked them to please stop messaging me because my move is so far out - I got sassed via text message with the representative who got defensive with me because I'm not moving soon. Honestly - I would have considered you down the line but this is how you treat prospective clients? When scheduled movers (Redondo Van & Storage) did not show for our move at the close of escrow- ALL AMERICAN MOVERS stepped up and saved the day (and at a much LOWER PRICE)!!! Last minute, panic filled call was met with compassion and immediate help. Not only did they rush to get me packing materials within an hour, but they pulled together a moving crew -who was supposed to be off for the day. The moving team was on time, efficient, professional, and handled our property like it was their own. I have used All American Movers now several times, moving from the sale of my home to a new home, and moving my daughter from apartment to apartment. I have also used their storage. They have been incredibly professional, on time, provide all the extras needed, and are worth every cent of their reasonable fee. Movers Ignacio and Julio are GREAT. They are so nice and went the extra mile for me. I highly recommend these movers. Amazing!!! I had a really bad experience elsewhere, All American Movers came to the rescue. They were so professional from scheduling, confirming reservation times, and their 2 movers sent were an absolute pleasure to have move us. They were friendly, asked questions and were certain to do their best at protecting property, furniture, and our floors- laying cover and using blankets to wrap things. I wasn't sure if everything would fit but they had room to spare... Watching them load was like seeing a Tetris game played. Perfect! I have another house to move in a couple of months, will definitely call these guys, going to even request the same drivers. We had a very pleasurable experience with All American Movers on Nov 11, 2017. We were moving my daughter from our home in the South Bay to an apartment in West Hollywood. Her items were strewn all over the house and garage; additionally, our old sofa had to be disassembled by the movers and reassembled in the apartment. Joseph, Sean and Patrick arrived on time and quickly surveyed the situation, provided wardrobes for her hanging clothes, wrapped quite a few Ikea items in plastic wrap so that they would survive the move, and carefully loaded the truck. All American carefully unloaded the furniture, boxes and wardrobes, taking them up to her second floor apartment, placing them in the proper rooms. Their attitudes were top-notch the entire time; we appreciated the additional help that they offered with respect to a few items that were already there. The job took 4 hours including drive time. Their initial estimate was "a minimum of 4 hours" which I had thought was extremely optimistic. All went great. We had selected All American for this move as we had used them back in 1996 when we moved the family between houses in the South Bay. They made scheduling very easy, and checked-back with us twice in the week preceding the move to make sure all of our questions were answered. Worst moving service, I had recently used there service and They badly handled the furniture and electrical equipment. They broke my 2 dining table chairs, washing machine and many other stuffs. On cost side they grab the order by providing low quote and after made the initial payment. They call me for re-estimation and charge a lot again mentioning that initial estimate was wrong. After payment they won't pick our call at all for any service updates. So keep away from there service. read more

I highly recommend All American Movers. They helped my parents move a lot of "stuff" over several days. My mom expressed immense gratitude to Ignacio, and all of the movers, who day after day, sorted and stacked boxes in a way for my mom to be able to retrieve items once the boxes were moved to their location. It's been a really long time since my parents last moved and then it was the military that helped with the process. Sometimes, they packed things with care and sometimes they did not. After waiting for so long to move items and not knowing what to expect from movers, All American Movers was a refreshing experience and made the whole daunting move more bearable. The agent who "helped" service my move, Erica, gave me completely false information about my move. She promised my belongings would arrive 2 days after pick up, gave me a price, and that this was a "pack to unpack" service. None of this information was true. My price raised $1200 plus a $400 shuttle service, they said my move would take 7-21 days, and that I had to pack everything myself (which luckily I did). I ended up having to pay 25% to cancel and get them out of my house. Erica called the day after to check how my move went and my satisfaction, SHE HAD NO IDEA OF WHAT HAPPENED. read more

Worse moving company ever. They are a scam and please avoid this company at all times. Darren Palmer is a scam artist and as soon as he get your down payment he leave. They are going to upcharge you no matter what you have. I got upcharged $800.00 to move an 1 bedroom apartment. They are rude and nasty especially the dispatcher Mike and the billing girl Tina. Had a wonderful experience with All American on our sort of local move of our household goods (60 miles) - what a terrific crew - Victor, Julio, Sean, Joseph, Carlos, Donovan, Giovanni, Nate, Jack and JR - were amazing! Very careful with the packing, careful in taking care of the "move out" and "move in" homes -- and they worked miracles in getting large, heavy, bulky pieces up narrow stairs. Joseph and Hulio were great. They arrived exactly on time. They wrapped everything and treated it with kid gloves. An extra special thanks for going above and beyond by helping me lift and install a shelf unit onto a wall. This wasn't part of the contract, but they lent a much needed helping hand to get everything moved in and installed. The initial estimate was for 6 hours and they came in at 6.25 hours. Not too bad for a small SFH of furnishings given the extra work I had for them. I hope this is the last time I'll ever need to move, but if I do need movers again, I wouldn't hesitate to call All American. read more

The single most unprofessional experience with a mover and storage company ever. The job was sloppy, unprofessional, and the owner took no responsibility for not only breaking many items, but losing some very expensive furniture ... not sure how you "lose" furniture, but they did. We recently moved from Manhattan Beach to Redondo and had All American recommended to us by our Remax realtor. So glad we did because the service was great. Setting up an appointment was easy, boxes were delivered to our door immediately, and the movers were not only on time but they came early to make sure they had parking. Joe, Sean, and Josh were very efficient and once they did a scan of every room knew exactly what they would need to make the move quick and easy. They packed up the truck in an organized manner. NONE of our new home or old home walls were scratched in the process and our first home was a small narrow townhome that other deliver men have scratched up (dryer instal, sofa delivery... etc). That's a huge deal to me because we would have had to fix it before we moved out! They took charge of everything and didn't complain that we were still packing up some rooms while they were there. Our daughter was napping in one of the rooms and it didn't seem to bother them that they had to hold off on a room for an hour. Now that it's been a month since they came, I've checked every piece of furniture and it was all in the same condition as before they came. I've heard horror stories about some companies but I'll have these 3 guys come help us move any day. read more

AAM moved us yesterday within Manhattan Beach area. They could not have been better. Up front communication was clear and thorough. Preparation of the house and the furniture was fastidious. About 6 large pieces - 2 8 ft couches, a 6 ft table, and an outdoor furniture set - had to be lowered off the upper deck using ropes. No problems. Joe, Joseph, Sean and Patrick were friendly, courteous, extremely professional ... and, above all, good humored throughout the whole day. I booked my cross country move with USStandard Moving not realizing they were a broker. My move was booked with All American Movers with no option to change as I had already paid my deposit. The movers were scheduled to meet me at my storage facility and one man arrived in truck with his girl friend and another came by car. The truck was already half full, a Budget truck rental. I was told I had 900 whatever feet and that was it. So I had to leave behind several items, enough to fill the back and trunk of my car. My end table was put in the car of one of the movers and my mattress was strapped to the outside of back of the truck. That was on March 24, 2020 and it didn't arrive at destination til April 14, 2020. My son received the shipment as I couldn't fly due to coved-19. I arrived at my place and this is what happened. My end table is lost, the hardware for my metal shelf rack in the end table now gone, every box marked fragile had at least one thing broken, plates in my dinner, a large shell mirror which my mother had made for me, and two small boxes marked very fragile had a cows on parade collection of which 7 cows out of 50 were okay. The rest are all broken and I am trying to glue them all back together, no value to them now and I started this collection over 20 years ago. In addition to the price going up 3 times and the added cost of replacing everything I had to leave behind, These people have no regard for customers. The girl I had to deal with was extremely rude and from reading all the other complaints here they just don't care. They won't accept credit cards because you could dispute the charges whereas they just take the cash and you are left with nothing. These people should be put our of business! Honestly, I think there is some kind of mix up with the reviews here. I recently used All American Movers to move me about 10 miles within LA. I have a family member who is a real estate agent in the south bay and her VERY LARGE company uses these guys all the time. ALL. THE . TIME. No complaints. I've never hired movers before and I have more trust issues than I can shake a stick at. All I know is that I was tired of having to round up friends who have better things to do with their lives than lug my sh*t around. That and I just had back surgery. I digress. I called and got a quote. My quote for 2 guys to move my 1 bedroom apartment is what it would have cost me to rent my own Uhaul, buy moving blankets, fuel and wasted time. My appointment was for 9 am on a SUnday morning. I had 2 very large and nice gentlemen show up at 845 ready to go. They even apologized for being early. Who does that?! I was happy about it, let's get this pain over with. The had a big truck and lots of empty wardrobe boxes to put all of my hanging clothes in. I saw about a dozen they had. Heavy duty ones not the one or two time flimsy ones from storage places. So the guys come in and start bringing my stuff curbside to prepare it for loading. Unfortunately there was a problem with the truck so they called their office to have another one brought out. Initially I thought it would set me back in my day but it all worked out well. By the way, both trucks had a guy holding a football standing in front of an American flag. I'm pretty sure that is their logo. I left my old apartment confident that these guys were going to handle my stuff well and headed down to my new place. ABout an hour behind me, with all of my stuff in tow they met me and unloaded and even placed things where I asked them to. Kitchen to kitchen, bath to bath, you get it. They were really nice and very helpful. I think they knew I was nervous about people handling my stuff so they made sure everything they wanted to do was alright. They were even nice enough to bag my mattress up and wrap my leather couch in plastic to protect it. The end cost wasn't grossly over the initial estimate. I gave the two guys a healthy tip. I don't want to move anytime soon but if I have to I know who to call and if one of my friends needs professional movers, these are your peeps. read more

The worst experience I've ever had with a company. Ironically the hold message (which I became all too familiar with) talks about alleged client service and how its all about the customer. How ironic. I hired them to move me from LA to SF. They agreed to pick up my stuff on a Saturday in LA and deliver it in SF on Wednesday. They informed me I didn't need insurance as they had a new policy where if the moving crew broke something then they had to pay for it out of their own salary. So I declined the insurance. The pick-up on Saturday went fine. Tuesday I called to find out what time they would deliver on Wednesday. My first experience with the hold music/message. An hour later someone picked up and informed me there was a problem. That was as specific as it got. Wednesday became Thursday at 5pm. They "promised" to deliver it Thursday at 5. Thursday morning I called again to check in. (God forbid they be proactive and call me). On hold again. For a long time. Finally I got Angie the dispatcher. She is the only person in the office capable of helping. And she never answers the phone. And her voicemail is always full. And she leaves early a lot because she has kids. And she is also the only person in customer service. So if you can to complain about the dispatcher - you get... Angie. Can someone say conflict of interest? Anyway Thursday I am informed there is another nebulous "problem". Not Angie guarantees me that my stuff will arrive on Friday morning at 9am. Friday morning comes. No phone call, no stuff. I call again. On hold for a long time. Finally I get Angie. Another problem. At this point I am frustrated. I ask to talk to Angie's supervisor. He is out of the country apparently. Angie informs me I am rude and that she is doing the best she can and I should feel sorry for her because she has kids to feed. She promises me Saturday. And also promises to talk to her boss about a credit when he returns from out of the country. Saturday my stuff arrives. 5-6 pieces are broken beyond repair. The crew explains that "they" didn't break it. It was broken when it was loaded onto their truck. Of course. So my stuff comes 4 days late. Stuff is broken. I call Angie repeatedly about the credit. She never calls back. I leave messages when her voicemail isn't full. Avoid this company like the plague. Horrible. read more

Honestly I'm pretty happy with the work AAM did for my move from Hawthorne to Orange. The movers showed up 20 minutes early, worked really fast, and came totally prepared. We have some HEAVY furniture that needed to go up steep, difficult stairs, but the guys managed it with a good attitude. Nothing got dinged or damaged. I would recommend them for anybody moving in or out of the LA area..... and I sure am glad we hired movers instead of trying to lift all this stuff ourselves. Phew. read more

This is the 3rd time I've used All American Movers. The 1st time, about 5 years ago, was to move me from Marina del Rey to Hermosa Beach. Earlier this year, we had our hardwood floors refinished and they moved the furniture on that floor to the garage. A few days ago, they moved all of our stuff to storage units in Irvine when we moved onto our boat in Newport. They are clearly as good as it gets. Nice folks to work with, they work hard and fast and were very careful.. We rented two 10 x 20' units for our stuff and one 10 x 15' for some stuff we plan to give to our kids later because we're downsizing. After loading all 3 units, they realized we could put it all in 2 and still set it up so our kids to get their stuff easily. They still came in under budget. My hat's off to Jon, Tom as well as Roger and his moving crew. Sorry but I forgot the names of the other guys, but they all turned the nightmare of moving the contents of a 3800 sq ft house into a relatively hassle free day. Good guys. We intend to use them again when we move to Sacramento in a few years and do recommend them to anyone need moving or storage services. Well now, I just spoke to a very rude person name tom for an estimate for moving... I called this company in the first place because I had used them 4 years ago when I moved and had a good experience at that time... When I told him that I would be moving from San Pedro to corona from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apt..he immediately told me I would need 3 men , that's when I told him they would not be moving a stove, fridge, or washer/dryer..I also told him that I had approximately the same amount of furniture and boxes that I had the last time I moved and I only needed two men to move..he immediately said good luck with my move and HUNG UP ON ME , Maybe the company should have a better person in charge of their phone... If the company moves your possessions as well as they take your phone calls, it might be best to go elsewhere for your movers! read more
