I had another company out as well that could not figure out the problem. After calling the home builder I found out about BWR. Skeptical, I called them. I had to wait a week for an appointment but it ended up being well worth it. Efrain and Paul came over. Asked a ton of questions and got busy. Within 30 min he had a solution to my problem. Within 1 hour my system was fixed and I paid a small service call fee. Wow.... Businesses like this still exists! Efrain and Paul are 2 fine young men that really care about making the customer happy. I've been in a service related field for over 30 years and it's rare to meet people like this. Oh, he did mention that the company was good to him and treats their employees well. I could see it even without him telling me. So for HVAC go to BWR and ask for Efrain and Paul. You may have to wait but you won't be sorry. As for Nexgen. Now I know why you need giant billboards all over town.

WARNING - CONSUMER ALERT !!!!…read more CLARKE Heating and Cooling engages in "Deceptive business practices" ie hidden fees. More specifically Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Section 5 of the FTC Act, which bans unfair or deceptive acts or practices in commerce. John Clarke aka CLARKE Heating and Cooling did not disclose there would be a 200 to 300 dollar charge for an inspection of my AC unit. After looking at my AC unit for approx. 20 minutes, Mr. Clarke demanded 200 dollars as an "diagnostic fee". This was a surprise to us, as we were not informed of these costs. John Clarke never stated there was any "diagnostic fees" on the phone prior to coming out. John Clarke stated he would not leave the property until he was paid. John Clarke's deceptive practice continued. Either we pay him the 200 dollars immediately, or we pay him 300 dollars more to temporarily fix the issue. Since we are in the middle of a heat wave, and the safety of minors is a concern, we felt backed into the corner and paid him the 500 dollars total for a "temporary fix". He knew we didn't want to loose the 200, and we were already "in the hole" with him. Evidence of the above have been made available online i.e. payment etc. Other then the above outlined violation of the Federal Trade Commission Act, in layman's terms does charging a family 500 dollars (for less then an hours work) for a temporary fix sound fair? 5 stars! Excellent HVAC service from start to finish…read more I contacted George, the owner of SoCal Boys Heating & Air, late in the morning because my air conditioner had stopped cooling my home. The outside fan was running, but the condenser was not humming and no cold air was coming through the vents. George was incredibly responsive and scheduled an appointment for that same afternoon. Earvin, the HVAC technician, arrived promptly and was polite, professional, and respectful of my home. He even wore shoe covers inside to protect my flooring, which I really appreciated. After I explained the issue, Earvin immediately began inspecting the outdoor A/C unit. Within just a few minutes, he carefully removed the cover and identified the problem as a blown capacitor. Amazingly, he had the exact replacement capacitor with him and was able to complete the repair right away. After replacing the capacitor and confirming all the connections, Earvin had me turn the air conditioner back on. It started working properly and blowing cold air immediately. Before closing the unit, he performed additional tests to make sure everything was operating as it should. He also cleaned up the work area when he was finished. Earvin took the time to share helpful maintenance tips, including keeping the area around the outdoor unit clear, gently cleaning the fin coils with a hose, scheduling regular A/C tune-ups, and considering a hard start kit to reduce strain during startup. His advice felt honest, helpful, and completely pressure-free. Earvin was knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and genuinely interested in helping me protect the life of my A/C system. I have used this company for air-conditioning tune-ups in the past, and this experience confirmed why I will continue using them for my HVAC service and repairs. Honest work, fast service, and excellent customer care. Worth every penny! I highly recommend Earvin and SoCal Boys Heating & Air. 10/10!
