Recently took a bike in that I'd been experiencing a few issues. When I first arrived at the shop was told that it needed a couple of things, I said ok no problem. The next day received call telling me it was ready. I thought well quick service. Unfortunately, there was a good reason. They charged $90 for a tuneup. But I honestly don't think they did anything after bringing to their attention the bike still had the same issues they advised that it was supposed to jump or slip gears. It was obvious the "test ride" didn't take place as their website states. The Service Tech stated "no one communicated to him the issue then he tried to sell me a freewheel and rear derailleur and quoted $200-$300 when originally written estimate was $50 for parts and $15 labor.

Tommy was so sweet and so helpful. Got me a new seat for my bike and he put it in for me. Very informative. Will return.

First time in the store today and I had the most pleasant visit. I wasn't certain on the bike style needed but the staff quickly assessed and found the perfect option. I was allowed to test it outside which really helped ease my fears. This is my first professional bike purchase and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely return for future purchases.

Came here to drop off a bike to be tuned up, and bought another road bike! The affordable prices really got my attention! The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. Gerald (KHS bike representative) and Andrew (mechanic) definitely helped me pick the appropriate road bike. They were so patience with me. They made adjustments to the saddle and the drop bar and allowed me to test ride it several times on the parking lot until I was comfortable. The staff made me feel really comfortable and they offered exceptional service to make sure I was making the right choice on my first road bike. Tommy, the owner is really friendly too, and I'd be coming back here due to the service.

The store responded to my email and apologized for my experience and offered to take $100 off the bike's price and give me a $100 credit at the store for future use. I will be posting my pics of my new bike. My husband and I have an appointment to meet with the manager personally to purchase my bike. I am pleased with the outcome after he explained the difference of the bike they have and the one advertised. I've visited this bike shop online before going to the actual store. Online it shows that they have several specials and one in particular that I was excited about. They listed a bike for $299 and so I went to the store with the intent to purchase this bike. The associates in the store were not aware of the special and so they asked the gentleman who must've been the manager about the special. He stated that they had sold out of that bike two years ago. However, they have one of those bikes for $499. The very same bike that they advertised for 299 they wanted me to pay 499. When I asked if there was a coupon or discount especially since they advertised it for 299 I was told no. I had the money to make the purchase but I refused to buy when a company does not stand by their own advertisement. I've heard great things about this bike shop so needless to say I was very disappointed. So back to bike shopping for me hopefully no one else has this experience

Over the last 4 years I have had many positive experiences at this bike shop. Bobby in particular…read moreis a heck of a guy and a darn good mechanic. But boy oh boy did I step into a twilight zone situation this time around. Going back 3 years I bought a frameset that was delivered to this shop without all the required hardware. No Big deal. Things happen and I get it. They apparently resolved the issue right away by sourcing some screws locally and I was on my way. What no one new at the time is that these screws were made of the wrong material (carbon steel rather than a less corrosive material such as stainless). Well they rusted and seized in place and I could not remove them. So I took it back to the shop this week to get some help and Morgan refused any liability for what happened. He wanted to charge me $80 per hour to correct a issue that THEY created. (he was prepared to give me a $120 bill to remove 4 screws)..Obviously this is way off base. I went back and forth with Morgan to try to help him understand that his position was just outrageous. Obviously he sensed my exasperation and certainly I raised my voice over the phone. I was down right angry. So I engaged with the people at Trek corporate and they immediately understood and agreed that this work should be performed at no cost to me. Very simple. So Morgan's team did the work and I went to pick up my bike. Morgan walked my bike outside with me. I was thinking well Morgan has seen the light and and he is about to apologize...which I would gladly have accepted. That was not his plan. He went on with an attempt to shame me and tell me that they would never work on my bike again and that I was not welcome on the premises. What?... the sentiment aside I would not chose to go back there anyway. Quite unfortunate. That is a brittle spirit and not consistent with what I am used to in the biking community. The audacity is absolutely mind boggling.

If you get help from an employee, they are often knowledgeable and helpful. In my experience, when you first walk in, you're practically accosted by employees offering their assistance. Before you've even had a chance to look at anything. But once you get your ass properly inside the store and you're doing some shopping and comparing, you'd have better luck playing pickup sticks with your butt cheeks than getting the attention of an employee to answer your questions.

I love the whole membership program and how you get rewarded for shopping. I love the kickback at the end of the year and the special sales they offer to members. I love the false sense of savings during those sales, it makes me all warm inside. I love the selection of goods that are available here. I love the fact that all you have to do is turn around with your head up and find someone eager and knowledgeable about the items that they sell. There are some gear nerds in here fo sho. I love the stuff they sell! Pocket knives, camping food equipment, hiking, backpacking, climbing, hiking, running, walking, really whatever you do outside, this place has you covered. The thing about this place isn't the value of buying "cheap shit" like what is for sale at other places. There is no value in buying shit. The value from here is in the fact that you are buying good products from a reputable dealer. Stay off Amazon my peeps! Also, don't eat yellow snow... '24 - 65/101
