I am recently getting back into cycling after a 4 year layoff. I purchased a Bike from another dealer but was thinking about changing some parts/accessories on it. I saw Victory while searching local bike dealers. So I decided to drop in and see what this place is all about. all I can say is WOW!!!! When I walked in the door I was greeted as if I had just purchased the most expensive bike in the showroom. Clark welcomed me in, offered me a water, and asked me what he could do for me. As we spoke it was very evident to me that he was not interested in selling me anything other than what would be best for me and making sure it was the correct "fit", not just a generic "one size fits all". He understood by my questions that I was not all that knowledgeable about certain areas. He took time to explain the answer to any question I needed answered. His purpose was treat me and my needs without regard for how much or how little it would cost. He and his staff have gained my trust fully and will always be my first call or visit when I need product, advice, instruction, or just to stop in and say hello. I live in Cordova so there are closer places but there is no better place to go if I want honesty and hospitalty. Victory Bicycle is the best of the best. And just so you know my purcchases have not been some huge amount. They do not care, they just take care of you. Do yoursel a favor and let them show their desire to earn your business. It's too bad there isn't a superstar rating option on Yelp because that's exactly what Victory Bicycle Studio deserves. They're a local business run by a very cool guy and his awesome staff who are knowledgeable about all things bikes: add another star. My own experience with Victory included buying a new Felt mountain bike. It was exactly what I was looking for, and Clark and Nick customized it exactly how I wanted it at no additional charge. Add another star. I had such a great experience with my first purchase that I went back to purchase a road bike, and they're my go-to for all accessories. Aside from being super knowledgeable, everyone at Victory is friendly and just plain fun to be around. They assist you in choosing the right bike and accessories, and they genuinely care that you are satisfied and comfortable. Whether you're buying a high end bike or something to cruise around town, these guys treat you like your customer #1. Taking an interest in your patrons is such a fine quality that makes local businesses really thrive. And I cannot even begin to count how many times I've seen and read about their contributions to the local community. Add two more stars! From service to sales, the guys at Victory offer an unparalleled experience. I have purchased bikes from two other shops in town and only Victory deserves 5 stars. Several years ago, I purchased an entry level road bike from Victory...I thought I would get laughed out of the store when I asked for toe cages. To my surprise, they were more interested in getting me to love the sport than selling me every little gadget. A little intimidated when I walked in the store to make the purchase, and I walked out of the store holding my head high ready to hit the road. Recently, I upgraded to a super sweet Pinarello Rokh. The experience was just the same as the entry level purchase - personal fitting, expert advice on care, plenty of time and consideration in the type of bike...down to the follow up phone call to remind me of the free tune up. To summarize, the guys at Victory take the same care and concern in the person buying the entry level bike as they do the person buying a tricked out bike costing 10x more. Victory is in that category of shops that seamlessly marries service, sales and lifestyle in a way that clicks instantly when you walk in. It goes without saying that its a great bike shop, but I feel its the best shop of any kind in Memphis. There are very few retailers where upon entering you feel the staff isn't just clocking in - they are excited to be there and excited about what they do. The outdoor or recreational industry is a bit more immune to the 'clocking in' mindset, but this place is still an outlier in the best kind of way. These guys exude a love for biking and quality gear - of all kinds - and want to pass that along as soon you walk in. With the internet creating mass availability, the smartest retailers are stocking a more curated or bespoke offering. Victory falls in that camp with a nicely designed space merchandising a very select offering of bikes and accessories. You get the idea that they've taken 95% of the guesswork out of it and its just a matter of setting you up with a product that surely sits on their shelves. What can I say about Victory Bicycle Studio. They are by far the best bicycle shop I have experienced. Don't get me wrong, there are some good bike shops in the Memphis area. But Victory has taken it to another level. There is not a weak link from the front to the back of the store. The passion with everyone at Victory is second to none. The knowledge is outstanding! Accompanied by the customer first attitude is top notch. From when you walk in to well after the sale, you feel like your number one. The bike service and the fittings to make sure you are comfortable and pain free so that you enjoy your bike to the fullest is out of sight! The products and the ability to get just about anything you want is primo! The staff there along with the Propel Endurance Training with Clark Butcher, has driven the passion of competitive cycling with my daughter through the roof. I've bought several bikes and been to many more bike stores. Victory is as a good is it gets. The customer service before and after the sale is exceptional. Although I'm not even an average rider in terms of ability or time spent on a road bike, I was completely comfortable there and the staff worked with me to select, order, and fit a bike completely in line with my needs. Fit is key, you may find a cheaper place to buy a bike, but doubtful they'll put the time and effort into fitting the bike to your body. After the sale, they called several times to check on how the bike was doing and to ensure I understood the options for getting service done on it. Keep reading, though, here's the coolest part. I just moved to a new city and was required to register my bike. I couldn't find the receipt; I'm terrible with paperwork. I called Victory and Clark got on it immediately, sending the documentation I needed to register my bike. Find this level of service elsewhere, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to. read more

**update** I've noted previously I bought a slam dunk Orbea Carpe from VBS that rocks. This past weekend I borrowed my brother's road bike to test it out and 20mins in, the pedal came completely off and wouldn't go back in. I was within a mile of Victory and thought I could just drop the bike there, run home and pick up the broken bike later. However, Clark put the kibosh on that and insisted on me borrowing a spare bike from them so that I could finish my 40miler. INSANE how generous these guys are! **** Great guys. Bought my first post-college bike from them 4yrs ago and didn't have a clue what to buy. They asked what I would use it for, my price range, etc. Long story short they put me on a Orbea Carpe and I've not looked back since. I absolutely love it. I refer all my friends to Victory and did so this past weekend where they extended their kindness and expertise to my friend. Victory is professional and extremely down to earth. I have been looking for a bike rack that fits me, my SUV and my lifestyle for quite some time. Nothing met my needs until I was introduced to Victory when I visited Memphis this weekend. I was impressed with the concierge service that met me at the door. Clark spent time asking questions and uncovering my needs, even those I did not know I had. We came to the conclusion I was looking for the SEASUCKER Talon Bike Rack I can take anywhere with me, put it on any type of car, and I can manage on my own. He spent the time to unpack and assemble the rack and also put it onto my car, with my bike. He made sure I was comfortable taking it on and off. I appreciated his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. He made me feel like I was the most important person in his studio. The first time I walked in the shop years ago, I noticed the place was clean, well organized, and the bikes were NICE. I told the shop owner that I needed a road bike as I was going to do my very first road race, Rouge Roubaix in Louisiana. After some astonishment that this would be my first road race, the guys set me up on a Cervelo R3. This ended up being the perfect bike for that mix of road racing and comfort. Fast forward almost 4 years later, and these guys continue to be my shop of choice. From the first class apparel, the best advice and nutrition, even their training side of the business, Propel, these guys get you ready to race. I have gotten to know Clark over the past few years traveling and racing together. He always puts on first class events and suggests the best races for your calendar. I can not speak for others that have bought bikes from this shop. In my opinion, I can not recommend buying a custom bike from this shop. After having the bike, an Open U.P., for a couple of months, I have nearly rebuilt the entire bike. The list of things that, in my opinion, were wrong, is amazing. Things like wrong center-lock adapters (causing rotors to come loose during a ride), brake calipers that had been ground down with a Dremel to make the rear caliper fit the frame, defective wheels that had to be replaced by Enve (something that should have been caught by the builder), defective shifter/brake lever that was replaced by Shimano, paint gouges from putting the rear wheel in, a fork that had paint that didn't match the frame, and having the rotor dig into the paint, and a many other problems. This review is my opinion but I can not suggest that anyone buy a bike from this shop. read more

Great bunch of guys! I can honestly say these guys stepped in where others could not. I'm currently out in California and have been searching for questions and answers to various setups/parts for the build out of my new Cervelo R3. Every place that I called was more concerned with the fact that I did or did not buy my bike from them and really did not have the technical skills to address my questions. I was lucky enough to find Victory's contact info on 3T's website and gave them a call. Nick was able to not only address all technical questions I had, but literally went out of his way to locate and help me track down my last part of my bike build out. First off let me say that I have frequented multiple bike shops in the Memphis area and they are all great shops. But Victory takes it a step beyond. Clark and his crew work like a well oiled machine. They are extremely knowledgeable in all areas of cycling whether you need a new bike or just want to know about tires or components or what style of kit might work best for you. I recently had Victory ship two bikes for me that I had personally sold. Clark was happy to help me out without hesitation. During the second shipment the bike was actually damaged. Instead of leaving me on my own Clark personally handled the claim and made sure the company paid the money to fix the frame. The entire team at Victory Bicycle Studio is top notch in professionalism, and I would highly recommend this bike shop to anyone in the country. I bought a Scott Foil from them in June, 2023 and have not regretted one minute of service I have received from them. I wanted to shoot you a note after my race last week. Let your shop guys know the bike clicked along with no issues what so ever. Even in the salty, humid, sandy Florida conditions. Let Nick know the fit was perfectly dialed in. I would guess I stayed in my aero bars for 95%+ of the 112 miles. I really only sat up to avoid muscle fatigue and over use. Even though you did not train me specifically for this event, I definitely used a lot of the principles I learned working with you the previous 2 years to smash my PR on an ironman bike. This is my 4th year riding with the Winter Training Group and it just gets better and better. It's a crazy year but Clark and his staff have done a great job continuing to build community by providing online spin classes and keeping the outdoor rides as healthy an environment as possible. During one of the Wednesday Q&A sessions, Clark took time to demonstrate standing techniques for the road when I asked. And, special shout out to Mason who then worked with me individually during a group ride on those techniques. I really appreciated the one-on-one time and it made a big difference for me. Not only is the product selection 5 stars, but so is the staff. My uncle is intellectually challenged and needed assistance finding a new bike, while I was in town. Since the closest bike shop to his home (who shall remain nameless) was unfriendly with zero inventory, I found Victory Bicycle Studio by doing a quick Google search. Boy, were we lucky!?!?! Not only did they have readily available inventory to satisfy my uncle's wish for a bike that day, but the staff recognized his mental challenges and were the perfect mix of humor, compassion, kindness, patience and direct product knowledge.
