Flabbergasted by all these 5 star reviews...? I've been to many Playland's in the greater Bay Area…read moreand I have to be brutally honest, this Playland in Sausalito, California is by far the worst. I traveled all the way to Playland Sausalito from the South Bay with my 5 year old son for my cousins 5 year old son's birthday party. Upon exiting and making a left her and a left there I found myself driving through an old, dusty, shoddy, dirt road, with barrack style bungalows up into an old, spooky gymnasium. I'm assuming they're using 'Playland' in the school's old gymnasium. Is the school still open? I do not know, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. Just looked run down and unkept to be actually open on a day-to-day basis. I'm giving Playland Sausalito a 1 star review because mostly everyone from my cousins party ended up catching either the flu or some variation of the stomach bug that's been going on. Depending on if you were an adult or a child that kind of dictated your symptoms. After calling and asking around if anyone else from the party got sick I was not surprised to hear that, yes other people in attendance got sick. In addition to getting sick, the overall venue was kind of run down and seemed like it's on it's last leg. A few inflatables, a few balls to kick around, 2 pop-a-shot basketball hoops (one didn't work), and a cold gloomy atmosphere. Nice! I understand what Playland Sausalito is trying to do in terms of providing a safe fun-filled place for children to have parties and hang out with friends and family but if children and adults are getting sick than that's defeating the purpose. Maybe it was a one time thing or others have gotten sick at this establishment but I think lack of attention to detail, sanitary practices, and overall kind of just a dingy, ordinary, throw a few balls and inflatables in here and call it a 'Playland' is lame and dangerous. Also, when I called Playland to ask a question as to if they are open or not? (says they are closed on Yelp unless it's a private party), the guy that answered the phone said "Hello".. LoL, not "Thank you for calling Playland how can I help you" so I had to ask the guy "Is this Playland?". Not professional dude. In hindsight, as I was oblivious of what was to come the days after the party, I made a comment to my cousin that they were having another party right after us and I didn't see them doing any kind of sanitary wipe downs or anything. Yikes! In conclusion, I probably won't be coming back again and if you were thinking on planning a party for your little one here, I'd look around some more for I'm sure there are other venues that offer more bang for your buck. Do I recommend, No.

The entire process from ideation, design, planning, and day-of execution was flawless, we couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out. Lally has incredible taste and a knack for design. She went above and beyond to deliver on the romantic, industrial, and modern design aesthetic we wanted to have for our special day, everything single detail was perfect. Lally is extremely organized and deeply connected in the wedding planning and events space in the Bay Area, which proved to be immensely valuable when selecting and partnering with our vendors. I had so much fun working with Lally on my wedding and seriously cannot recommend Lally Events enough, you will not regret your decision to hire her as your wedding planner!

If you're not sure you need a wedding planner, TRUST ME, you do, and you should go with Lally. Throughout the whole planning process up until past midnight after our actual wedding day, Lally was there at any time to help with whatever we needed. No joke, she cares so much that she made sure our maid of honor got to her room after a couple too many drinks, WAY after the event was over and all the guests were gone. She is the definition of caring, reliable, and trustworthy. At any point that my wife and I felt anxious or unsure of something, Lally was there to immediately take care of it and make us feel 1000% more relaxed and excited. We've been to many weddings since we got married, have seen how poorly in comparison their wedding planner was in handling an issue and always look at each other and say "Thank God we had Lally for our wedding!" I could go on and on about how highly we recommend Lally to anyone getting married. Your wedding should be the best day of your life. It was for us because of Lally, and it will be for you if you choose her as well.

Hasty Heart used to be the private yacht of the family who owned the Mark Hopkins Hotel and it is now available for charter by the same Captain and his family. The Ultimate Surprise: A 40th Birthday Dinner to Remember!…read more I don't even know where to begin -- my 40th birthday dinner was beyond anything I could have imagined. It was a total surprise, flawlessly planned and executed by the incredible team at Bash Please, and filled with exactly 40 of my favorite people. Yes, 40 people for 40 years -- how perfect is that? The setting was stunning. Bash Please somehow captured everything I love and turned it into an effortlessly beautiful, inviting, and joy-filled atmosphere. Every detail -- from the long communal tables to the coastal-inspired décor -- felt personal and thoughtful, like it was made just for me. Because it was. And the food? A crab feed feast that dreams are made of. Piles of fresh, buttery crab, warm sourdough, crisp salads, and all the fixings. The kind of meal that gets messy in the best way -- everyone cracking shells, passing platters, laughing, and making memories. It was communal, it was delicious, and it was so me. Champagne flowed, the conversations never stopped, and I felt completely surrounded by love. I genuinely can't think of a better way to ring in a new decade. Massive thanks to Bash Please for pulling off a night that was perfectly designed and truly unforgettable. I felt celebrated, cherished, and completely surprised -- and that's no easy feat. 10/10. Would turn 40 again.

We just returned from a 3 week vacation in Thailand and Vietnam organized by a Frosch travel agent…read more From the outset we should have known Deborah Deming would disappoint us. She was going on a big trip to Antarctica, with spotty cell service. Instead of giving us over to another agent who would have the time needed to curate plans for our trip, she assured us she would be available for all but a few days. Well, not really. And her style is to investigate the trip options while you are holding on the phone. That automatically eliminates doing any detailed research. Deming's lack of attention to detail put us in a position to question and double check all the arrangements, get on the plane with unresolved issues, and generally cast a shadow over our trip. Some examples: *We traveled with another couple who, once we met in SE Asia, were doing exactly what we were. Yet their hotel reservations were messed up...TWICE! *She scheduled us on a 7:40am flight from Bangkok to Hanoi. We'd have to leave for the airport about 4:15 AM, only to arrive in Hanoi 6 hours before we could check in to our hotel. *The Saigon Day plan neglected to mention that it is a 2 hour drive to the tunnels and, of course, 2 hours back. So that is 5-6 hours, then there was a tour around the city , and then... an evening of vespa riding and bar hopping and dinner. We told Deborah from the outset, we are in our late 60's. A 12 hour tour day is just not a realistic plan. Oh, and talking about being in our late 60's....why wasn't the War Remembrance Museum on the plan? We were draft age for that war! *In Chiangmai we paid extra for a Garden view. Yes, there was a very beautiful Garden, see below for the view from our room Deborah depends on ICS Travel Group to do all the local planning. Apparently she handed our trip over to them and never followed up - until we started asking questions. We did have some amazing tours and some wonderful guides. We also had one guide who had little idea of the schedule, a tour that never happened - for which we were unsatisfactorily compensated, and transfer guides that did not know what hotels we were going to. If you are thinking of using Frosch or ICS...reconsider!
