Going with Lally and her team at Lally Events as our wedding planner was easily one of the best decisions we made in our wedding process. Lally was extremely professional, organized, creative, and attentive from the early stages of planning, to the night of, and even after the wedding. Lally came highly recommended by a friend who had worked with her to plan awine country wedding. We had a destination wedding at a venue outside Denver, CO and at first we were slightly concerned about hiring a planner that wasn't local to where we were getting married. Lally consistently demonstrated that there was no cause for concern. She jumped in and found local vendors and even took multiple trips out to Colorado before the wedding to ensure everything went smoothly. We had frequent calls with Lally in the months leading up and she helped us handle everything from the design board, negotiations with vendors, handling the run of show on the day, and even coordinated transportation for all 130 of our wedding guests (so no one had to drive) who were sprinkled across the Denver area in AirBnB's and hotels. She managed all our vendors to perfection and found really unique ways for our personalities and style to come through during the wedding. The best thing about hiring Lally was that the actual day of the wedding was about as stress-free as you could ever hope for. All vendors did exactly as was expected of them and guests had nothing but glowing things to say about our event. Lally is a wedding wizard! She is organized, responsive, on top of everything, and most importantly she truly cares about her clients and will make sure your day is incredible. You won't worry about a thing other than having an amazing time. Our wedding was May 28, 2016 in St. Helena on a private estate with 165 guests. I'm writing a long review because in the early stages of planning, it would have been nice to have something like this to help us understand how to figure out what type of planner we wanted to work with and how much we wanted to take on ourselves. As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. We initially hired a cheaper planner, and it cost us 5 months of wasted time where nothing got done - in fact we went backwards- and we were constantly frustrated. You should definitely cut budget on things that aren't as important to you, but a good planner is not something you should cut! Our wedding was especially challenging because it was on a private estate. We had at least 10 individual vendors from the typical ones like catering and florist, but also things like lighting and porta-potties that we wouldn't have known we needed. If this is your situation, do not underestimate the amount of work it takes to understand what vendors you need, select them, know if you're getting a good deal, etc. Not to mention coordinating all of their dropoffs and pickups the weekend of your wedding itself. After seeing our property, Lally knew exactly what was needed and which vendors to work with. She knew where it was possible to save money and where it was worth it to splurge. Working with Lally to plan the wedding made it more fun! She gave us a very helpful checklist at the beginning of each month to help us keep track of the things we have to do. We had meetings with her in person from time to time, some with vendors and a few random phone chats. We emailed almost daily during the more planning-intensive times, and she was incredibly responsive. When there was a task that I just didn't want to deal with (for me it was choosing florals), she was always able to help simplify it. Lally goes above and beyond: 3 months before the wedding I had a dress crisis after some alterations didn't go as planned. I call Lally at 10pm freaking out and she calmed me down! then she graciously attended my next fitting with me and even got me a last minute appointment at a bridal shop so I could check out other options. It ended up sticking with the original dress, but it was remarkable how much she was able to help me through that crisis. The weekend of our wedding was an incredible success! I cannot say enough good things. It was the best day/weekend of my life, and I didn't have to worry about anything. I've been at other weddings where this is not the case. When you don't have a planner, or only a "day of" planner, things just get missed. You and your family do NOT want to deal with the coordination of vendors and decorations on the weekend of your wedding. After the fact, we found out about a few minor things she was able to fix without us or anyone even knowing about it! I.e apparently one of the servers showed up to the wedding drunk and made a scene - but no one knew about it because Lally had the situation totally under control. She totally went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect weekend that we will remember for years to come. She even found a few ways to save us money. A few weeks after the wedding, we got a few surprise refunds from vendors who had apparently made mistakes! wow! Lastly, Lally is truly a delightful person. I have never worked with a better wedding planner. I have worked with many other planners over the years as a wedding photographer and Lally straight up blew me away. She surprises her clients with so many extras the day of because she loves going over and beyond for them. She makes sure vendors are taken well care of and feeds us well! She researches each vendor she recommends specific to the couple she is working with and only recommends the best because she believes each couple's needs need to be met based on their unique day. We didn't need to look any further - we felt an immediate connection, and knew she was the one! It turned out that our initial impression was right, we absolutely loved working with her. Lally is a warm, calm, well-organized, detail-oriented person. She took every worry out of the day, so we could just enjoy it all. We could not be happier to have found Lally to plan and execute our dream wedding! We worked with her for over a year and every step of the way we were so grateful for her. Lally made planning our wedding smooth, fun, and completely stress-free. From the very beginning, she made our dream venue work, even though their original quote was too high for us. She is an excellent negotiator, extremely organized, and has so many creative ideas that made our vision come to life. What was particularly impressive was that we were Lally's first wedding in Palm Springs, since she is located in Northern California, and everything still went flawlessly. I always felt like she was on my side when roadblocks came up and she worked quickly to fix issues with outside vendors, budget, etc. She kept us on track the entire planning process, so we only had to do a handful of items each month. There are wedding planners -- and then there is Lally Events. Lally is simply in a league of her own and I couldn't have made it throughout the entire planning process without her by my side. From day one, Lally understood my vision for the day and helped us curate and shape our elegant California style for a destination wedding in Santa Ynez. Her design process is completely A-list and she worked with me to help shape some of my DIY projects that I wanted to contribute while adding in special details that truly made the day sparkle. Since we were long distance, Lally and I had regular phone meetings as she helped perfect the design board. Our wedding, which was on a private estate, definitely presented some challenges, but I always felt confident and grateful knowing Lally was on it. She coordinated every vendor with the precision of an air-traffic controller and the grace of a First Lady. She also helped us coordinate deals, understand contracts, and she never pressured us into anything with vendors -- instead, she always explained all of our options. In fact, when she didn't feel like she'd gotten a good quote on something, she called other vendors in the area. When you're planning a wedding, you want to know you can trust your planner -- and you can trust Lally! She's not only an incredibly gracious, positive, and well-styled individual, she truly wowed us at every step in the wedding process. We hired Lally for our wedding in September of 2018 and don't have enough positive things to say about our experience. Last Saturday my beautiful and talented daughter got married. In her mid-thirties, with an undergraduate degree from Yale, supplemented by Engineering and MBA degrees from Stanford, Tiffany never let go of her childhood dream of a beautiful, dreamlike wedding. Thanks to our wedding planner, Jamie Gansler of Lally Events, Tiffany got the wedding she had always dreamed about. A beautiful gown, perfect weather at the Highlands Estate in Cloverdale (Sonoma), a high and enthusiastic turnout of family and friends provided the backdrop. Clearly an element of luck prevailed, given heavy rains the following two week-ends. But more than good luck was responsible for the beautiful wedding. On the foundation gifted by good fortune Jamie Gansler, our wedding planner from Lally Events, built and managed a generous, competent, and responsible family of vendors. From the Venn Flowers decorations, to the on-time moving ceremony, the Ramekins to-die-for food and beverages, and the Boutique DJ lively music and fun photo booth, everything was picture perfect. We had many visiting international relatives who had traveled across the Pacific Ocean for this event. It did not disappoint. They went home very happy, having danced part of the night away. High school friends, college friends and graduate school friends of the bride and groom came to shower the couple with love, wish them well, and communicate their wholehearted support for the new shared life to come. Jamie wove a cohesive thread across this complex fabric, with a perpetual smile on her face, unfailing enthusiasm, and ever-competent management and people skills.
