From the front desk to the exit after each session, one feels like family. Michelle is welcoming and cheerful and I love hearing her cheerful reminders of each appointment on the phone. NO mechanical voice here! It takes a village or a wonderful team to assist the AWESOME owner, Samantha Summers! My doctor knew I previously had therapy for back, hip and knee. He advised that I would now see Align Physical Therapy group and stated I would see the difference in treatment. When you enter the waiting area, Samantha has quite a few professional framed degrees in different areas of specific wellness. I have not seen that in the other PT places I have attended. It is quite impressive. She also involves her patients on the education of their treatment so we can understand what is involved in her treatment for us. I am not sure how Samantha can acknowledge each patient and recall their injury and the back story to go with it. Pretty amazing to see. This woman is filled with energy, love for the buisiness and the care she takes with each patient warms the heart. The business is in a house and feels intimate. Her assistants/techs, Donovan and Rene follow Samantha's lead and again, you feel connected to all who works there. I wish there were 100 Samantha's but she is unique. Her knowledge of the body is beyond incredible and it's clear she has a thirst for more knowledge with continuing education classes. I have had chronic pain for a few years. She has communicated to my treating physician ( shout out to Dr Nair) the treatment she is providing and the result of such..... She has these magic hands with techniques I have not experienced before which has given me relief where I can feel like we are making progress, unlike past experiences. Please, if you have a chance to select your physical therapy needs, do yourself a favor and request Align Physical Therapy, you won't be disappointed. In appreciation Wanda O. read more

Unprofessionalism and Frustration at Align Physical Therapy Group I'm not one to write reviews, but my recent experience at Align Physical Therapy Group compels me to share my frustrations and warn others about the issues I encountered. The initial impression I had of this establishment was, unfortunately, an accurate representation of the service I received. My first interaction was with Michelle, the scheduler, who seemed more focused on her attitude than providing helpful customer service. Despite her discourteous behavior, I continued with the scheduling process, hoping it would be an isolated issue. Sadly, this was not the case. When I called Align Physical Therapy Group to cancel my appointments, I was met with even more unprofessionalism. To my shock, they had blocked my phone number, forcing me to call from a different number to get in touch with them. It was at this point that I discovered that Michelle had never actually scheduled the appointments in the first place, leaving my health in limbo. This oversight not only wasted my time but also worsened my condition, forcing me to seek help elsewhere. Align Physical Therapy Group needs to seriously reconsider the role of its scheduler, as empathy, communication, and attention to detail should be prioritized in this position. I strongly recommend anyone seeking physical therapy services to look for alternative options. While this office should aim to heal and rehabilitate, my experience was filled with stress, unprofessionalism, and unnecessary setbacks. I genuinely hope that Align Physical Therapy Group takes this review to heart and makes the necessary changes to prevent future patients from experiencing similar issues. read more

5 Stars: Exceptional Care from Sabrina Summers, PT I can't say enough good things about Sabrina Summers and the incredible care she's provided as my physical therapist in Reno. From the moment I started working with her, I knew I was in the hands of a highly skilled and compassionate professional. I can't say enough about the incredible care I received from Sabrina Summers at Align Physical Therapy. After a car accident left me with diplopia (double vision) and intense anxiety, Sabrina not only understood the complexity of my condition but had the training, skill, and intuition to guide me through recovery. When I told my other doctors, like neurological, ophthalmologist, and ophthalmologist, who I was working with, they said, you are in good hands. They would want her on their team if they were in my situation. That high praise from colleagues, even competition, solidified my confidence in my team. She took the time to explain why my vision was affected--not just treating the symptoms but addressing the root causes through a combination of specialized techniques and modalities I couldn't find anywhere else in Reno. Her approach was holistic and deeply informed, and it was clear that her knowledge and experience were far beyond what you typically see in physical therapy. Because of her care, I went from being afraid to drive--even with $1000 prism glasses--to confidently getting back on the road without them. She helped me release the trauma that was not only affecting my vision but also my ability to return to school and work. Sabrina truly gave me my life back. There is no one else like her in Reno. If you're dealing with post-accident injuries, vision issues, or trauma that's affecting your daily life, I highly recommend seeing Sabrina. Her work is transformational. read more

I highly recommend the team at Align Physical Therapy for anyone seeking effective and compassionate treatment for physical discomfort. My journey with them began when my orthopedic physician referred me due to persistent pain in my right shoulder, a challenge that had been impeding my daily activities. Their approach made me feel seen and valued. After just one session, I experienced significant relief, and that moment marked a turning point in my recovery journey. With each visit, I have continued to feel less pain and gradually regaining strength in my arm. It is truly exhilarating to think about the activities I once thought were off-limits--now, I can look forward to engaging with them again. I came to Dr. Summers feeling discouraged and was starting to lose hope. From the first session, I felt a genuine connection with Dr. Summers. They listened to my concerns, assessed my condition, and explained everything clearly and patiently. What sets Dr. Summers apart is their holistic approach. They didn't just focus on treating the physical symptoms; they took the time to understand the underlying factors contributing to my pain, including my lifestyle, stress levels, and even my emotional well-being. Dr. Summers is incredibly skilled and compassionate. Their treatments and homework assignments are effective. They create a warm and supportive environment where I felt comfortable and encouraged throughout my recovery journey. Thanks to Dr. Summers's expertise and guidance, I'm starting to feel like myself again. I'm able to participate in activities I previously thought were impossible, and my overall quality of life has significantly improved. I was referred to see Sabrina Summers at Align PT for PTSD work after my fiancé had done the same and had incredible results. I myself suffer from PTSD from combat stress having served 10 years and 2 combat deployments with the US Army. I must admit I was skeptical but I can not express how incredibly wrong I was to have been. Miss Summers, who herself is an incredible woman and wonderful soul, guided me through 2 of my hardest memories and most severe triggers and smoothed the frayed edges to leave the memories as just that...memories that are no longer associated with pain, loss and fear. I have spelt better than I have in years and only waking up from night terrors only rarely where before it was nearly nightly. Not only this but she explained to me how everything I was feeling, whether it be physical or mental was connected to each other and trigger off each other. I have now had multiple sessions with her and will be going back. She has helped give me something back I never thought it would have again...peace read more

I have used several physical therapy offices over the years but shoulder pain, lower back pain as well as knee and foot pain had persisted until I began treatment with Sabrina Summers at Align Physical Therapy several months ago. Knee pain and lower back pain have almost disappeared as well as most of my foot discomfort. She has dramatically increased the range of motion in my shoulders and arms and I continue to follow her directions while working with a personal trainer. Her technique has been nothing short of miraculous for me. She has worked on my nerve related systems, as well as muscular and spinal alignment with amazing results. Sabrina is truly a gifted woman who I will continue to rely on as the need arises. I would be remiss If I did not mention the wonderful staff that she has to assist her. read more

This was an excellent experience. Dr. Summers is attentive to the mind-body interface and utilized this process as she developed and provided a plan of care. My concerns were addressed professionally with excellent instruction, demonstration and written materials that allowed me to continue a home exercise program to maintain the improvement in my mobility afforded me during hands-on treatment sessions. In her absence, her partners also continued the plan of care, adding their professional expertise so that my recovery was not delayed. Her assistants were engaged, attentive and received excellent direction from Dr. Summers. Finally, the office staff maintained a warm and friendly response to my presence in their office and their phone manners were outstanding. I highly recommend this practice. read more

I have been receiving care from Lian Christie at Align Physical Therapy Group. She is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and very motivating! Sabrina is such a great therapist, explains what is happening to the body, is gentle and effective as a therapist. She was recommended by an aquaintance who had been to her. I had a pinched nerve in my back and after only 3 weeks of therapy, I am feeling great. She makes sure that the body is in great shape before letting you be released while making sure you understand how to properly take care of yourself. This is the first place that used dry needling procedures on me. I never felt any discomfort when this procedure was used. She and her staff are delightful and thorough in treatment. I highly recommend this physical therapy business. read more

Seriously the very best physical therapy you can find on the west coast! I have had back problems for years as a result of my profession (teaching more fitness classes than I probably should have). I had gone to several chiropractors & P/T's only to find temporary results. I was fortunate enough to have Sabrina Summers work with me pre and post surgery. She is a true healer! She is intuitive with the most diverse training/education. You will be impressed with her dedication to her patients. I have gone years without having to return for further treatment by following her recommendations. . . Wonderful, kind, caring & professional! read more

I highly recommend Align Physical Therapy. Several Nurses from Northern Nevada Hopes Clinic sent me there ten years ago and I go back when ever I need therapy. Last few months I had a slipping problem on my left foot. Doctors did not know what was happening so I made an appointment with Sabrina Summers again. After my first visit I was able to get more feelings in my left foot and have not slipped yet and I am extremely happy because I had a real balance problem before seeing her. She has a PHD in physical therapy and several other certifications. Everyone at Align Therapy are professional and very courteous. read more

Are you looking for a knowledgeable and skilled physical therapist? The Align Physical Therapy Group is a good choice. I'm blown away by Sabrina's skill, technique, and knowledge. Her approach is completely different from standard physical therapy that didn't work for me previously. My orthopedic surgeon asked me to switch my physical therapy to Align Physical Therapy Group and I need to be treated by Sabrina. My only regret is I didn't know about her two years ago. The support staff are also wonderful. I highly recommend Align Physical Therapy Group for your physical therapy needs. read more

After six months of being barely able to move and unable to stand upright due to what I thought was sciatica, I was finally able to afford to go to PT. My primary care stated that Align was the best place to go for those of us with MS. After my first treatment with Cathy Bodner, I felt so much better, and I was soon able to stand upright again and had much less pain to deal with. Now I "get" to see Cathy again for the actual sciatica itself, and I'm looking forward to it! From Michelle at the desk, to Renee the tech, to Cathy the PT this place is definitely a good choice. read more
