I told the person at the front desk that I was in pain and wanted the first available appointment. She told me that the first available appointment is July 23rd. A month from now. There is no way I can wait for a month. When I told her that a month is a long time away, she shrugged her shoulders. Can't believe that a physical therapy office is so booked up. Hire more people so that you can help patients in a reasonable time.

I changed because my old pt office stopped covering my current medical insurance.. I did my due diligence and research that led me here.. My first initial impression of the office and Boyd: a small but very caring environment.. As I answered the standard questions and of me explaining my situation, I felt comfortable and had complete individual attention. As time went on with the assessment, it was very transparent that Boyd is compassionate about his patients and enjoys his work. I think with those two qualities, you are in the best care possible. I was given homework stretching to do and will be back next week. Last night, was a great rest in a long time.. !

I went to Healing Hands for continuing PT, following Rotator Cuff Repair Surgery In April…read more (Complete tears of 3 rotator cuff tendons with retraction, torn bicep, and torn labrum...it was a doozy!) Living part time in Houston and Part time near Reno...I had to start with Helping Hands in the middle of my rehab which made me a little nervous. But now I feel lucky for the opportunity. My Concierge therapist in Houston gave me key words to search for an equivalent service in Reno...and I ended up with the best experience yet! "Concierge PT" "Manual Therapy" "out of network PT" were his suggestions. I have had multiple orthopedic issues treated with Pt...preoperative and post op...knee replacement, achilles reconstruction, arthritic spine problems, and now...rotator cuff repair surgery...AND NONE come close to the care I've received from Helping Hands clinic and from my stud therapist...Varsha Rao. Manually therapy is worth EvERY penny! No comparison! And I hope someday it is prescribed by Orthopedic surgeons and covered by insurers as a "standard protocol". Until then? I know I need to pay out of pocket for better, faster, and more thorough results. EVERY APPOINTMENT Varsha treats me for the FULL hour I've paid for, LISTENING, constantly evaluating, manipulating, and educating. Manual therapy with direct pressure, resistance movement to build strength, dry needling, cupping, STEM wave, ...and I go home with videos of that week's best exercises to do at home. My orthopedic surgeon said I should not count on playing golf for 6 months And that full recovery is really a year. 5 months after my rotator cuff repair procedure... It would be helpful if there was an online link so patient could fill out in advance of their first appointment. Prominence Medicare required a $40 copay for the initial evaluation ($10/PT) and pre approved 16 visits. I had to suspend PT due to lower back pain and Dr requiring lumbar injections prior to an ablation therapy appointment and requested 6 weeks after ablation before resuming PT. Premiere closed my file until I could begin core strengthening PT in the future.

Last July 2025 I fell down my stairs and broke my left hip, I had to go to the emergency room and a doctor over at Swift Institute was on the Emergency side of it, and replaced my hip with a few screws. Well, the screws were coming out as I walked, so I saw Dr. Winkle back at great basin, and he said you're gonna have to have your hip totally replaced, as the screws are poking out.! I ended up in the hospital a few days after surgery with a stomach problem, and he actually came by to see me, and it had nothing to do with my hip, he just wanted to make sure I was OK! Absolutely incredible Dr, I highly recommend him and any doctor at Great Basin Orthopedics! The best! I needed a nausea medicine, and unbeknownst to Dr. Winkle the medicine he gave me for nausea also helped the stomach problem I was having so I could eat again, no other doctor has ever prescribed that medicine for me and I get these stomach issues a lot, we were really impressed! Had a good experience working with this office. They worked with my schedule to get me in to…read moreappointments. Office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The facility itself is scrupulously clean and well-appointed with helpful equipment. Parking is easy as there is plenty of regular parking as well as a good number of handicap spots near the door and only a short distance from the entrance and elevators. The physical therapist Brendan was phenomenal. He was patient and knowledgeable.
