Great service and ambiance. We used it for a class reunion event. It was fabulous. I will go there again.

Cayo Coco has been on my list of restaurants to try for a few months now, and I can confidently say…read morethat I'll be back soon! I genuinely could have ordered almost anything off the menu; everything sounded delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget or the ability to consume every dish off the menu, so my boyfriend and I settled on splitting 2 small plates and 1 entree. What we ordered: -Smoked Fish Fritters: a Cuban delicacy. Still thinking about how good these were. Plenty to share! -Snapper Ceviche: personally not my thing, but my boyfriend loved this. I honestly wanted to like this, but the raw fish started to weird me out. -Jerk Chicken: served atop a tomato/bbq risotto that was devine. The inside here is so cozy and slightly tropical. They have a huge alcoholic selection too if that's your vibe. I'm so excited to return and try some more dishes!

Cayo Coco restaurant missed the mark for me. I really enjoyed how the dining areas really lean into…read morethe tropical theme. I ordered the Espresso Martini ($14); it was lacking something in the flavor, but that could possibly be from me going against the grain when ordering. I had the jerk chicken, it was not a true jerk chicken ($29) it was basically grilled chicken with sauce so when expecting something more authentic it was disappointing to say the least. The tamarind caesar ($15) was also different than I expected; although I would make a trip for it, I would order it again when visiting. The best thing I tried was actually the typhoon brusssel sprouts ($12), I was very happy with them and honestly would have been okay if that was the only thing I ordered. The wait staff was great, very personable and being willing to dicuss the menu and give suggestions. Espresso Martini(Vodka-Carajillo) 7/10 flavor is not what accustomed to might have been better with the Rum normally fixed with. Tamarind Caesar- at first glance definitely not my regular Caesar. Definitely not an average Caesar the lettuce is grilled giving it a smoky flavor, caught off guard but I would order again. 8/10 Jerk Chicken- overall was a good dish first time trying farro wasn't sure what to expect made me think of oatmeal, the mango salsa and sauce on the chicken was good the chicken itself was a bit dry but still good. Overall I would give the dish a 7.5 I rarely order chicken out and I think this was a reminder why. Typhoon Brussel Sprouts- had great taste 9/10 I could come back and get a drink with the Brussels. Would consider the Star of the night The price was consistent with the area, nothing seemed overly priced. Portions were also large enough to be split so if with a group and wanting to try multiple items you would be able to do it and have enough.

You honestly don't need bacon to make everything palatable. Hummus was really good. The za'atar vinaigrette was a unique touch. I am taking more of the vinaigrette to go with my leftovers. It's a quiet, cloudy Saturday afternoon but I heard some other folks commenting on how busy they were for New Year's. Best experience I've had here. I'll be back.

Sure, some call it "the experience," but that falls flat when the service is completely lacking. One rainy night, my friends and I walked from farther away in pouring rain, shook off our coats and umbrellas outside, and stepped in dripping, only to be met with stares and zero help. We felt judged from the moment we entered. (WARNING: make sure you dress like you have money or whatever, not that we were in slacks or anything). The waiter that evening was also so snobby, inattentive, and provided terrible customer service. Ambiance is meh. So dark and crowded, no privacy. The food is equally disappointing: wildly overpriced with no real flavor balance. Dishes come out either bland and plain or excessively salty. Not once across three visits did anything impress me, and I've never left having enjoyed myself. So, I'm really not sure what the hype is about this place. Birmingham people always hype up the wrong places Save your money. there are far better options in Birmingham for the price.

It gives a great vibe for either a work dinner, a date night, owl or dinner with friends! It's fun and swanky but not over the top. They have a really attractive bar and they have a pizza kitchen that is open, which is always a cool touch. I try to handful of appetizers and I've got to recommend both the jerk cauliflower as well as the brussels sprouts and the Caesar salad was delicious as well. Also, the blistered Hungarian peppers are a must order if you'd like sausage! The meal that I had both times because it was that good was the spicy lamb rigatoni. I might just go back next week and get it again. I like that they have a wide variety of options whether you're looking for a gluten-free meal or something carb heavy like pizza or pasta, but they also have options to fit a variety of budgets from a casual dinner and a burger to more expensive entrées. The servers are very kind and are definitely educated in their wine and food offerings and very hospitable. Since this is located on Morris, a lot of people think parking is difficult down there, but apparently there is a parking lot in the back where you're able to get your ticket validated. I know some of my friends wish they would have known this before. I'll definitely be back and recommend this spot to others wanting a good meal!

I think the most expensive meal we had was $240.00 which included entrees and wine. Worth every penny...anyway. We stopped in to Wooden City for a couple of appetizers and a glass of wine. We ordered the peel n eat shrimp and the burrata w/ bread pudding! The food was so good we failed to grab a pic. I can absolutely say the experience rates in the top 4 meals I've had in my 66 years on the planet! I was able to capture the beautiful pour of wine we had. Guys come see them! You'll enjoy it for sure. The ladies sitting next to us ordered two entrees each. They ate one and had one boxed to go...that's gotta tell ya something! Hats off to the TEAM at Wooden City! I'll be visiting again in August .....can't wait!!

If you know me, you know that if there's burrata on the menu, I'm ordering it. Bettola's is one of the most unique I've ever had. It's almost soupy, and it's scrumptious. The wine list is good, and they serve good cocktails. My friends all raved about the espresso martini. This is a great place for date night or to dine with friends and family. They have an option for everybody. Service is great, no frills. I find parking to be very easy in this area. Like Hot and Hot, you do have to walk through a different hallway to get to a bathroom, a little strange but fine. I love the option of outdoor seating, but the inside is a fantastic atmosphere, too. I've yet to try any of the pizzas, but will have to come back at some point, of course :).

The atmosphere was perfect for dinner: ambient, romantic lighting, and a cozy setup both indoors and out. We sat inside and loved it. We started with the Funghi di Bosco pizza and... holy crap. Hands down the best pizza I've ever had. The crust was that perfect wood-fired crisp, the cheese melted just right, the mushrooms were fresh, the fresh egg was perfect, and the truffle oil? Unreal. I'd come back for that alone. For my entrée, I had the Quattro Formaggi pasta with added sausage great flavor, rich and creamy white base, though the mint was a touch heavy for my taste. Dessert was the Chocolate Budino. Not a showstopper, but still a nice, sweet finish to an incredible meal. Our bill was just under $100 for two, and it was 100% worth every penny. Bettola should be proud excellent food, great vibe, and that pizza will forever have my heart. Can't wait to come back and try more.
