I came here to upkeep a Brazilian Blowout I had back in December. The sign up appointment procedure…read moreis a little elaborate and detail oriented, mostly done online or via text, but they do a lot of processes here and they want to make certain client know what to expect. I got a Glyco Strengthening treatment, where the hair is treated, dried, rinsed, and blow dried. The place is a hallway of smaller rooms, and one has to get in via a digital intercom system. There were rooms nearby with more people than I would have liked, but they were wearing masks. Rachel was in a room by herself being safe. She was professional, giving tips or advice only when I asked. The result was good, I really liked how my hair turned out. There was incense burning, which I usually like but seemed like a bit much with the hair products and utensil smells.

Making an appointment at Justin's was very easy, I was able to get in for a shampoo style on the date and time I requested. When you make your appointment, you receive a text to confirm your appt and about 1-2 days prior to your appt, you receive another reminder text. I also loved that when I arrived for my appointment, we started right on time. The #1 issue I have at some salons is waiting around all day because we all have busy lives and I cannot stand sitting in a salon for hours on end, especially due to overbooking. Brandi was very personable, friendly, and took the time to explain certain procedures to me. The price point of provided services are comparable to other salons. I will definitely be back so see Brandi

She uses DreamCatchers Hair Extensions and after doing extensive research, it's the best way to go. I had to find something that worked well with asian hair and didn't make my hair look like I obviously had a weave going on! DreamCatchers use a "micro-cylinder" technology that is permanent, reusable and non-damaging. Meaning-- NO glue, bonding or sewing in!! The extensions give my natural hair fullness and body and they also allow my hair to grow healthily while in place. The extensions also come with a two year warranty! How fabulous is that? It's worth every penny! Call the salon for your consultation with Naomi. You won't regret it!! ---- Other info about the salon: Everyone there is extremely friendly and the salon is very clean and well kept. There's always music and laughter whenever I've gone in. There is ample street parking in the area, but some streets require you to pay the meter and others are free without meters or zone limits. It's a great addition to the South Loop!

Okay... so did I get a silk press or did I get a silk press?…read more My hair came out beautifully straight, silky, and smooth--almost too good. I'm a natural Black/AA woman, and after two weeks (plus workouts!), my hair still had that silky feel, which honestly shocked me. It made me wonder: was this truly just a wash, blow-dry, and flat iron--or was something else applied? Don't get me wrong, the results were impressive, but I value transparency, especially when it comes to natural hair. That's really my only hesitation and why I'm unsure about returning. Jackie did my hair and she was awesome--professional, efficient, and kind. I may even reach out to her directly just to ask what was used because I genuinely want to know. Overall, the vibe was cool, easy, and super convenient. I walked in and was immediately serviced, which I appreciated. If transparency around products is addressed, this could easily be a go-to spot.

It's unacceptable and horrible business practice! I attempted to handle the situation at the lowest level. Consumers BEWARE!
