I called ALI-COR plumbing after being scammed by a different plumbing company that was sent to my house by my home warranty company. I was very wary of the entire situation until Brandon showed up. After explaining to him what had happened, he was very reassuring that he would be able to fix my leaking shower pipes without a problem. Brandon took the time to thoroughly explain the cause of the leaking pipe to us and had no problem pausing his work to let us take pictures so that we could have all the info and proof we needed to file a second claim with our home warranty company. Besides being genuinely friendly and reassuring, Brandon did a great job fixing our shower and we are very satisfied with his work. I had to remove the toilet to replace the flooring. I noticed the flange had cracked so I called to have an adapter installed and then remount the toilet. i was told this 15 minute task would cost me $346.00! I sent the plumber away and bought the piece I needed from Comet Plumbing and installed it myself. Cost me $94 total, that was $86 for the service call that lasted less than 10 minutes and $8.00 for the adapter! Live and learn! I will not ask if they use prearranged charges, if I had known about the padded bill I could have saved the $86! read more

Nobody is ever excited to deal with a plumbing issue but Ali-Cor definitely made the situation less stressful. I decided I wanted to upgrade my sink & faucet in our house from the old double basin sink. When we started the project, we barely got started when we realized our sink pipes were leaking. We shut them all the way off and they still leaked. To say I was stressed out would be putting it lightly. Then once we kind of fixed the leak, and turned the water back on ALL pressure was gone. I messaged Ali-Cor last night and they responded almost immediately, able to come today! Brandon was our tech and was scheduled to be here 1-3ish. He called early to let me know his first job was more complex than they expected, but he still showed up right on time! He helped change out our old (clearly wrecked) pipes, and removed the old sink and installed our new one for me! He was friendly, efficient, and very tidy. Very kind and put up with my chatty-ness too for the few hours he was here the quote was less than expected and more than reasonable in my opinion. Just had the leak repaired for $156. One star for calling me and letting me know they will not be able to do the job under $400, being courteous on the phone and not wasting my time the day of. I sent Ali-Cor an email about out plumbing issue and to see if they could send someone out to our house this past weekend. The response was very fast. Then Saturday morning the plumber Brandon called us before he came over. He was even a few minutes early, which was great for us. Brandon did a wonderful job. They came out the next day to replace a leaking hot water heater, which required removing the dryer to get the old equipment out and install the new, then hauled away the broken heater. We needed a hot/cold water faucet outside for an upper deck. We have an all brick house. We did not have water plumbed at the area we needed water. We called 3 plumbers for estimates, they were all responsive. We selected Ali-Cor. They were not the cheapest, but they had the best solution for getting water to the deck outside. Top notch service. I called at 9:30PM expecting to get a voicemail. I got a person - and set up an appointment for the next morning. Immediately after hanging up I got a text message confirming the appointment. The guys called the next morning when they were running early and came almost an hour before the original appointment - which they had told me the night before was a possibility so it was good news! They came in, identified the problem after a period of "forensics" and didn't make anything up that was plumbing related. Turns out I have a leak in my roof that's coming all the way down into my first floor and the slab. Awesome plumber! I called to get a ball valve connection fixed on my rear hose connection (cracked during a freeze) - the leak was up against my foundation and I needed it fixed fast. I spoke with Jason Miller over the phone to schedule the appointment. Jason was polite, friendly, and worked around my schedule to come see what needed to be done. The plumber that came out was Charlie, another friendly guy that obviously knows his craft well (and mentioned he is a 3rd generation plumber). Although I have an unusual hose line setup, Charlie took the time to go to 4 different plumbing suppliers to find the right parts and avoid having to cut into my drywall from the inside. That saved me a lot of time and money. The work was done quickly and payment was super easy. I really like the fact that Ali-Cor uses an electronic system for everything: Appointment setup, appointment reminders, payment, and automatically emailing my receipt. I needed help troubleshooting two waterless tank heaters. I previously had two other technicians from other companies come out and they could not figure out the problem. I thought I would give it one more try before just replacing both units. Jason was methodical in his troubleshooting, talking to the manufacturing customer service to poke in areas where the other two gentleman had not. Called AliCore as we had a frozen pipe burst with the cold. On a Saturday Evening! When no one else we called would answer or come out before Monday. They got here at 7 pm and worked several hours fixing things even though it was very late. Mark was great and explained everything every step of the way. It was clear they did a top notch job and left us with much better plumbing than we had before this happened. They were personable, polite and very knowledgable. Took care to do things right - even running out to Lowe's to get a part when the unique situation required something they didn't carry standard instead of trying to make something less optimal do. Cleaned up before they left, too. Cost came in at the lower end of their estimate and was reasonable for the time they spent, especially for a weekend evening. Even though the previous reviews were all 5 star I was a little apprehensive contacting Ali-Cor. I called Jason on Tuesday morning at 8 AM. He wasn't a "fast talker" or anything like that. He was open and frank that he couldn't have someone until Wednesday morning at 8 AM at my home. Once my appointment was set I got a text message confirming the appointment. I was impressed with a small business leveraging technology in such a way. In my past experiences with tradesman often times they're late, don't show at all etc. Marcus was at the house at 7:58 AM. He initially diagnosed the problem, asked a couple of questions, told me the price for the service and went to work. When his first attempt to resolve our problem (backed up kitchen sink) were unsuccessful he went to the next option. Fearing an MAJOR price point change I held my breath. As he was finishing he told me that "I quoted you a price and it won't change.". Low and behold it didn't. I had an email with an electronic receipt before Marcus left the house.
