On Monday 29 January 2024 I hired Richardson's Plumbing for a drainage back-up. At the end of the service call I talked with Dave about some additional plumbing work. See my previous review for details. He contacted me next day with an estimate and I agreed to hire him again. Fast forward to today. Dave arrived before lunch as promised and immediately got to work. He replaced a damaged out door spigot, changing from a soldered piping and valve to a threaded connection. This gives me the ability to change the valve myself by screwing off the old and screwing on the new without the possibility of damaging the piping and causing a leak. In my garage he changed out the spigot isolation valve which would not secure water to the out door spigot. Lastly he changed out the Pressure Regulator, regulator supply valve and added a second isolation valve to isolate the regulator from both sides. We now have constant water pressure in the house no matter how many, showers, sinks, toilets and faucets are in operation. Great Job again Dave, you have my business. I could tell right away that David was the right choice to come out and replace my hot water heater. It was a relief that I found the right company to replace my hot water heater, on the heels of a huge disappointment learning that my warranty wouldn't cover it due to it was caused by "secondary damage". The connection from the nipple leaked causing the top of the tank to corrode... David said that was from a poor install (way before I purchased the home). David did a superb job, and followed up the very next day to make sure everything was still working correctly, and followed up after the inspector came. Great customer service, and when he said he would be there, he was there! Integrity, which is in short supply amongst these types of business - "we'll be there between 12 and 6" and then call saying they were delayed. You all know what I mean. I was so pleased with the service I received from Mr. David Richardson. I called because I didn't have any water pressure at my deep sink in the laundry room. He promptly removed the end of the faucet that screws on, and found it was corroded and clogged. I felt so stupid for not checking that but he assured me that it happens all the time. He also made an adjustment to one of my toilet handles, checked inside for any leaks, and then went out to the water meter and assured me that there were no leaks. I was very relieved. I assured him that I will call him with any future plumbing issues, and inquired about him replacing a shower head with a newer model which he said would be no problem. I met Dave when he came out to my Mom and Dad's (90 and 92 years old) to snake out their main sewer line. A previous plumber had come out a few years before but his snake was only 75 feet but since the line wasn't clogged up anymore he decided that he had completed the job. I wasn't there then. This time I measured out that we needed about 120 feet to snake out to the city cleanout. Dave showed up with a super sized 250 foot snake and made sure that we got out past the city cleanout. A few weeks later, I had a leaking valve and a bad float on my toilet. I wanted to put a new toilet in anyway so I picked up one from Lowe's. I do not know where to start, except to say Mr. Richardson runs an extremely knowledgeable and professional business. We have had to use him multiple times within the past year for things such as a watermain leak in our yard, as well as a supply line to the front yard spigot. We have yet to be disappointed with the quality of his work, the timeliness in which he responds to request, or the fair practices he employs. We were getting quotes from 3 or 4 other plumbers, and they were not as reasonable as Mr. Richardsons. What they were quoting would take about 2-2 1/2 hours, he completed in just over one. Top tier service and a very personal and professional guy. Sunday morning our water heater drain valve was spraying our garage and had to shut off the water line. Dave responded quickly and was able to come in less than an hour. As soon as he got here he assessed the situation and was immediately able to tell what the problem was. He was able to replace the valve drain with something more durable and that would last for the life of the water heater. He was able to get us back up and running in less than 30 minutes. I lost a piece of jewelry down the drain in my bathroom sink. Dave, with Richardson Plumbing, drained the trap under the sink very carefully to avoid a water mess and hopefully find the ear ring. Unfortunately, the ear ring was no longer in the pipe. However, while he was here, he adjusted the drain stopper so that it worked better. He was prompt, polite, and very mindful of not making a mess in the cabinet under the sink. He then said he would not accept payment for the call, his time, or the work he did at my home. I am very appreciative of his kind gesture. More importantly, I was impressed with him and the kind of professionalism he demonstrated. read more

I cannot even recommend David enough! This is the second time we have called him for his services this year and his work is outstanding! our water heater busted and we woke up to a flooded garage, we called him hoping he could come out the first of the week, lo and behold , a few hours later we see him pulling up and replaced our water heater by the afternoon! Well I had these little black dots coming out of my hot water side in my tub and occasionally in other parts of my house for 6 years. I could not find anyone who knew what it was. Dave was doing a job for the business I work for so I asked him if he knew what it might be. Well he knew right away. He came over that night with the solution and in 15 minutes I never saw another black dot in that tub. My wife is ecstatic!! BTW, it was a defective flexi hose coming from the water heater the rubber on the inside of the hose was deteriorating. Dave is the BEST!! read more

I moved into the area 4 years ago and needed a kitchen sink installed. Someone recommended Richardson Plumbing. Dave was at my house the next day, installed the sink and disposal. He was great and it was done correctly the first time. Dave has never let me down over the last 4 years. I have had bad experiences in past with plumbers so when my kitchen sink and dishwasher backed up and flooded my kitchen floor I looked for a new plumber. The reviews for this one were the best. I was not disappointed. Mr. Richardson proved to be a good choice as he was professional and knew exactly how to fix the problem. I have to say that my experience with Richardson Plumbing was most pleasurable. David was very professional and took the time to explain to me what he was doing as he went along and suggested the correct service that would be needed to fix problem. The prior plumber had not installed the ball cock valve properly and the water line from the wall to the tank was also defective. I am a property manager and received a call from the tenants on Good Friday. I called the plumbers I had been using in the past - no luck. I checked out reviews and called Mr. Richardson on a whim. Dave is very dependable. Of course, having taken time off from work to have work done on your home makes it important that the contractor makes it to the appointment on time as well. Dave will be there on time and is efficient so he is getting the job done correctly. He does a great job at explaining what needs to be accomplished and why and follows through. The clog was cleared in no time, and he took extra care to ensure everything was functioning properly afterward. my mother is 78 and her main sewage line clogged. we called richardsons he was booked for the day. he still at the end of the day went back to his shop to get snake for drain. that evening he showed up beyond respectful with mask, gloves, full ppe. he had it unclogged in 20 min. he isn't a corporate drain unclogger. he is a master plumber and does natural gas lines. so thanks to david Richardson for the amazing service going out of his way. will 100 pecent use him again. read more

Needed low water pressure assessed in our master bathtub for a house sale; David was friendly, communicative and responsive to our appointment request and worked us in the day after I initially called. He worked it up in about 5 minutes, gave us a couple of recommendations to assist with the issue, provided an invoice to show we had it inspected by a plumber as per the buyer's repair request---and then charged us nothing. Complete bathroom remodel done. All plumbing work (new tub, shower ,toilet and sink) replacement was done by Richardson Plumbing. Dave thoroughly answered all of my questions and concerns regarding the work I requested.
