DO NOT USE. This is unfortunate, we've used Alhambra/Primo/New Primo for 20 years. Alhambra was fine, and then they got bought by Primo. Wasn't having any problems with Primo, they were fine. Then late Spring of 2025 Primo merged with another company, ReadyRefresh, to become Primo Brands. Ever since then, they've been a raging dump fire. Their web site/app doesn't work at times and I have trouble with it. I paid them last month, I have a confirmation email from them with a transaction ID, and now I find they have no record of it. Turns out checking the bank account, they never processed it and now I'm going to have to fight them about a late fee that I wouldn't have gotten. They also repeatedly have show up on days I wasn't expecting them and NOT shown up on days their website says they were coming. No wonder the delivery driver I spoke to a few weeks ago said he was losing multiple customers frequently (I forget if he said daily or weekly). I will be cancelling, so add me to that list. read more

Cara is quick to respond to most of the one star reviews that her team will work to correct the issue. After submitting a request and providing information as she requested & 3 business days later no one could be inconvenienced to lift the phone and call to correct the issue. Generic response to all with no results. When I called their general customer service number everyone calls the customer service representative spent more time trying to prove it was my fault why they haven't delivered water in nearly 2 months with no communication. They absolutely would not offer to make a delivery a week early when asked if they could. Meanwhile I have seen their trucks making deliveries the past two days within 3 miles of my residence. The least they could have done would be to deliver some bottles to a customer who is 100% out of water. Instead we are buying bottled water from Costco to get through until next week. Years ago this company had customer service and now with a few mergers of larger companies customer service is non existent amongst all levels of their company. I contact them and they ask me to wait 24 to 48 hours, and this has been going on for over a month. Every time I have to send the dispenser number because they don't have it, because they don't write anything down and they don't solve anything, absolutely nothing! Warning: Stay Far Away from Primo Water This company has been a nightmare from start to finish. When the company was Alhambra, they had the best customer service. Since the switch, everything has gone downhill. I wont get into all the phone calls and emails, but here is a summary of what this last month has been like dealing with them. First, they changed my subscription to a more costly product without my consent or notifying me, nearly doubling my bill for two months. When I asked why, I received no explanation. When I asked for a refund for the difference of $191.50, they ignored my requests. Even in my communications with the Better Business Bureau, Primo has never acknowledged this unauthorized change. On top of that, they charged me in early August $121.93 over my invoice amount. After multiple calls and emails, they let me know if was for part of my September invoice. I said this was unethical to decided to suddenly change their billing policies from charging for 1 month at a time to 1.5 months at a time. I requested the invoice multiple times and they have repeatedly told me I can't see the invoice until September. I certain they overcharged me on this one too. I repeatedly asked for billing transparency and an explanation of the charges. My contact, Darcy Amin, ignored those requests and has never acknowledged the overcharge. After weeks of asking, I still haven't received a clear response or a proper refund. Instead, I saw a small "credit" on my account, which isn't even close to the amount in dispute. I made it clear that I wanted a refund, not a credit, since I will not be continuing services. Because of their refusal to provide invoices, their unauthorized changes, and their attempts to keep money owed to me, I had to cancel my card to prevent further charges. I cancelled my services last week and scheduled a pickup for my dispenser and bottles on Thursday evening. No one showed up. No one notified me. Everything sat out on my porch overnight. When I called Friday evening, I was told my pickup was rescheduled for next week with no explanation for why I wasn't informed. I explained that the equipment could have been stolen, sitting out like that. Their response? If it's stolen, I'll be charged the full cost of the unit and bottles. I asked for an earlier pickup since I had already moved other things into the storage space where the equipment was kept. They told me that wasn't possible. So at this point: * They changed my subscription without consent and nearly doubled my bill. * They overcharged me and won't refund me. * They ignore customer concerns and refuse to respond. * They no-showed on my scheduled pickup and then threatened to charge me if their equipment (which I had to leave unsecured) gets stolen. Advice if you're dealing with Primo: 1. Document everything (calls, emails, charges). 2. File complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (where the company is based), and the FTC: reportfraud.ftc.gov. 3. Don't bother with California agencies because Primo is based in Connecticut, they can't help you. So far BBB has been helpful and Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has started an investigation. read more

I'm done with "Primo /Alhambra water. Every single time I try to call them the wait time is at a Minimum of 40 minutes and often over 1 hour. Ive been unable to use the online portal. When I put in my account number and or my phone, it tells me it "can't find my account". Keep in mind I'm reading the account information off of an invoice that they sent me. but no account?? And finally, I ordered 2 bottles, and they delivered 5 bottles. When Primo bought Alhambra, the service went straight downhill. I'm done with them. We have been rescheduled and cancelled no less than 5 times now, and none of these was at our request. Calling the 800 number is a frustrating process as well. After another cancelled delivery on 06/06, I was told earliest delivery is 06/20. This is not acceptable. After over 45 minutes on the phone with customer service, they said oh now we can deliver on 06/11. I realize that is in two days, however, we need a delivery today or tomorrow (06/10). I am patiently waiting for a call back from customer service. I don't have confidence that we will even get a delivery based on our recent experience. And...a credit for the delivery fee is just not enough to make up for the poor customer service. read more

This company constantly merges with new companies and then forces you to sign up for a new website. The latest merger has resulted in non-delivery to two of our locations now, and when you call, your account number doesn't work, and when you finally reach a person they transfer you to another number that has a one hour wait. So far, after 4 calls no one has been able to assist me. I've spent about 4-5 hours now on hold. Oh, and they don't call you back if you leave your number. Delivered a defective bottle two weeks ago that leaked and flooded my office. Promised to replace the defective bottle but charged me an extra delivery fee. Emailed the company but they did not respond. Contacted support chat who said they will take care of the extra charge but did not. Also, I have six bottles empty requested pick up several times no call no show. Canceled because my bill was $79.00 a month for only three 5 gallon bottles a month and a dispenser. Also, delivery people do not care. Requested a pick up for my water supplies after canceling on July 3rd. Was told over the phone with customer service that delivery person would be there 1pm-5pm. No one showed up. Call customer service, and my pickup was rescheduled to the 5th with NO CALL. I then told customer service for delivery man to pick up my items after 4pm. Driver showed up at 8am, no one home to give them away. There so much lack of communication, and respect for customer's time. I am very glad I cancelled. I have had Alhambra water for about a decade now and ever since Primo brands it has been a total effing shit show. I want to cancel and I need somebody from Customer Service to reach out to me. Otherwise, I will dispute all future charges with my credit card, they never answer the phone, my auto pay keeps getting canceled even though the cards are valid, and nobody responds to my emails and I am documenting everything somebody from Primo brands needs to reach out to me directly to help me cancel this service. We have been alhambra business customers since before 2017. Our delivery person has always been great and never had any issues. However, since the merger with primo we have not seen a driver in going on two months. We have waited on hold for hours to try to get thru. It will say we have a delivery scheduled and delivery day comes and no delivery. I have taken to ordering from other places and not sure how to get them back their equipment when I start using someone else because they don't respond to chats, emails, or phone calls. The problem I have with Ready Fresh or Primo....not sure what the name is but I use the app to update my order and select Arrowhead 5 gallon waters to be delivered and they deliver me Primo water instead. But charge me for Arrowhead water....lol!! So the driver must not look at what the customer ordered because they also give the wrong amount in comparison to what is selected via app for the next delivery. This happened 2 times and the wrong amount happened 3 times. I just left it alone - if i keeping having the wrong items delivered I will let Sams Club know they probably should not continue to support this company since that is where I signed up originally and have them look into "some" of these reviews. Seems like they are struggling as a whole company, I hope things get better so I am willing to hang on and see because the mishaps are recent - I didn't have no issues prior "in fact they were great" it wasnt till i seen different drivers coming, i used to get the same guy all the time. Well best luck to this company. Hope they make a strong come back when everything is situated and people will trust them again for their water service. You would be better off buying your own dispenser and water. The upcharges are a little much. You will never own the dispenser after making so many payments. The dispensers break constantly especially the Hot Water function and the cartridge needs to be replaced, at least with my dispenser and you can't order it separate and replace it yourself which is easy. They have to have someone come out and replace it . I went through 2 dispensers.over the last two years! I stopped getting their water just because I get my water from somewhere else which is cheaper and better and just lease the dispenser. However, now the dispenser needs a filter kit and I can't get one . So I'll just buy another one from Costco or from somewhere else. read more

I moved out to a new area in Roseville that is still under construction in most parts so my place is a bit harder to find. It was hard to get on a schedule initially with Alhambra but after one the district managers named Brian reached out to me we got everything settled. It started off good until I moved and asked them to transfer my water to my new address. They continued to deliver my water to the old address and charge up my account. When I called them to find out why I was getting charged for water I wasn't receiving, they gave me the complete run around for months. A manager never got back to me, and they ended up sending me to a collection agency for water I did not receive. Steer clear. They have horrible business practices. When I turned their machine in and empty bottles I had overpaid so they sent a refund check to the Company I work for instead of myself who had been renting and paying for the machine. The worst ever. The drivers that deliver don't do their job!!! They hate delivering if you have stairs. I pay a monthly fee per delivery and they don't deliver the correct amount. I decided to cancel because I know they don't like to deliver to downtown. Especially if you live in a gated area. So I was doing them a favor by canceling. It's been weeks since I've canceled and they have not picked up the equipment and the 10 empty bottles that's left in front of my door. I've called customer service numerous of time, they even text the driver to call me if they need help picking up the equipment but nothing has been done. I've signed up through Costco for this service and Costco need to cancel this company! Poor service. The driver notes on their system that they can't get in the gate to pick up the equipment but all those times I've ordered you guys was able to deliver the bottles on time! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. 4 deliveries over 2 weeks have been missed, they just don't show up or provide any information or ability to contact local office. We've been out of water during a heat wave and no sign of delivery or any resolution. Many calls not returned, many deliveries never fulfilled.
