After entering and looking thru the glass display the donuts looked bad -old and icing looked dry and unusually cracked. There was no selection. I drove by this place and saw that it was new. The signage outside boasted some great menu items, and I've wanted to try it since. I came today and was happily surprised. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, and it was HOT. It was clearly freshly made; the bread was toasted, the egg was fluffy and the bacon was sizzling. I ordered an iced black coffee to go with it and sat with a friend while I ate. The ambience was inviting and the cultural undertones were very cute. 10/10, definitely coming back. read more

I came here for the first time last week craving some donuts. Even though we're in the area a lot and pass by this donut shop numerous times, I've only been here once. Located in the corner in a small plaza, there is plenty of parking available. I got here around 8:00am or so and I wasn't sure if they had any ham and cheese croissant. They didn't have any and there wasn't many donut options to choose from. That's not necessarily a bad thing because it's a simple donut shop in my opinion. Keep it simple to the your chocolate glazed, chocolate donut with sprinkles, glazed donut, etc. I actually picked up those along with a caramel one. These donuts were nicely sized donuts and freshly and fluffy. You can definitely tell when a donut is fresh and you can definitely find them here. FYI..CASH ONLY...That's OK, because I robbed my piggy bank at home to pay for donuts. My old donut shop closed :-( a couple weeks ago. After trying different donut places, I was lucky enough to have come across this one. I usually buy donuts for friends at work. After the first visit and a week later this nice kind lady behind the counter remembered my order from last time. Amazing! And she's great at remembering people's names. The glazed donuts and donut holes are fresh upon touching them. I take "one only" donut hole for myself because I'm diabetic. Ok, I cheated a little and had two.. Donuts are donuts right? WRONG! there are obviously the Krispy Cremes, but they are far from this area. Here in Alhambra, you can either go to an Albertson's, Ralph's or Super-A-Foods and get donuts from god knows where, or you can head over to Winchell's where you can get a "classic" donut that taste like it should be at one of the grocery stores I just mentioned (I have no idea how Winchell's got so well known for that crap they try to pass off as donuts. TC Donuts (previously Pronto Donuts from a few stores down) in the place to go for good quality, fresh, authentic donuts, they have all the usual flavors, shapes and sizes. The family who runs the place is very friendly as long as you don't try to pay with plastic. read more

The guy at the counter told me it was 1.60 for 12 of them, which meant that the total would come out to 3. 20+ tax; it wasn't until I got home that I realized that he charged me 5$. Located in the corner of Atlantic and Front St.. A hole in the wall donut shop that has a lot of goodies.. They sell donuts of course, milk teas, slushies, boba drinks, muffins, croissants, sour candies, chips, and all sorts of yummy tidbits.... They can even fry some burgers and fries.... A variety of donuts starting from fill ins, donut holes(my favorite), long ones, sprinkles, and the classics.. I often go here when I go laundry next door.. I order a boba thai tea with ham and cheese croissant (mmm nom nom).. All the items are pretty cheap here.. They only accept CASH ONLY so make sure you bring your dollars.. I was desperate for an ATM machine but you have to go 2 blocks away for it... Plenty of parking in the lot and street.. I wish they had WiFi in the store so I could just chill, grub on, and get my sugar rush.... Of course, not close enough to be Krispy Kreme material but good enough to grab some donut holes and just pop it in your mouth... read more

This is sort of a "hole in the wall" kinda place, very local feeling.. but very clean and with lots of choices. i get everything from my fave sour candy "sour punch straws" which are hard to find unless you are near a Blockbuster, to my coconut or honey dew bobas tea here.. they also have sandwiches, donuts, muffins and more... Note that they are CASH ONLY so don't plan to use your ATM card. Everything is super cheap too.. I've hit this spot more than a few times over the years. It has your typical selection of donuts, or less. It's often a selection of like 10 kinds or so actually. Maybe that's because I'm not here early in the AM, not sure. Personally if I can get a chocolate anything I'm good, but just so y'all know. One bite and I was struck with complete donut bliss! A perfectly crispy exterior, inside so moist and fluffy. These people have mastered the art of donuts and you are missing out. Stopped by this morning before work to get myself an Apple Fritter and some lottery. Service was good, the person working there was in the kitchen and when he saw me he came out, he was friendly and asked what I wanted. He also wished me a good day when I left. The Apple Fritter was good, but not great, parts were a bit overdone and not enough apple pieces inside, I like it loaded with apples, and glaze on top was a bit on the light side. Will I return? There is a really limited selection of donuts that don't taste freshly made. I came early on a Saturday morning. There were no other customers but there were also not very many donut varieties to choose from. The apple fritters and cinnamon bun looking donuts didn't look appealing at all. I ended up buying four donuts: glazed twist, their "tiger tail" which is a glazed twist with chocolate you can't even taste, a glazed old fashioned and a maple bar. Total for 4 donuts was $4.75, which isn't expensive or anything but I bought a dozen donuts for my office recently from another mom and pop donut shop in Alhambra, and a dozen donuts was around $8, so donuts here are higher than the norm. When I got home, my husband and I sampled a bite from all four but I didn't want to commit to any of them. The maple bar glaze in particular was terrible and weak. I don't know how else to describe it but it was missing the maple component and just tasted like waxy, brown corn syrup. read more

I come here in the mornings to get my java / donut fix. The parking here is plentiful and the access to the shop is pretty good. For you morning commuters, the shop is on the west side of Atlantic, which helps if you're going driving south to reach the 10 fwy. The shop also has an ATM and also serves boba and burgers. They also sell lotto and scratchers. The prices are pretty cheap too. Makes you wonder why you even go to Starbucks to pay their ridiculous prices. read more
