Donuts :)
Paola M.

I love this place! The service is always great! They are so friendly I love it because they make you feel so welcomed. I love their hot coffee it's perfect and it's even better when you pair it with a freshly baked donut or my usual a croissant with ham and cheese!!! Yummmmm! You can buy your lotto here too or your scratchers. It's must try if you have not :)

PSA: if you are allergic to sunflower seeds like I am, do not order their everything bagel because it's not a normal everything bagel. It has sunflower seeds in it. I noticed this after I took one bite. Went back into the store and they gave me a plain bagel as a replacement. I had to go to the pharmacy to buy some Benadryl to take proactively because I will break into hives so that sucked.

I can thank Siri for this one. I was in the mood for a donut and asked Siri for "Donuts near me." The number one choice was Bumblebee Donuts with 4.5 stars. Siri asked me if that was where I wanted to go and I said yes. Glad I did. First of all. It's right off the 60 so that made it super easy to find. It's in a grocery story type shopping center with plenty of parking. There's no "Bumblebee Donuts" sign. Just the word "Donuts" on the building. I guess there no need for the full name if you're the only donut shop in the lot. I was there on a Sunday morning and it was really busy. All the tables were full of people enjoying their tasty donuts and a steady stream of people was coming in to buy some to take home. When I go to a new donut place, my touchstone donuts are the apple fritter and the glazed twist. The apple fritters are small, about the size of a donut, but I'm glad. Makes me feel a bit better about all the calories and sugar, so I think that should be the new standard size for apple fritters. It was a good fritter. No oily taste. The glazed donut was pretty good too. No oily taste. The winner for me was the cake donut. I had a chocolate frosted with coconut cake donut. It was perfectly excellent. It was one of the best simple cake donuts I've ever had. Definitely don't leave there without getting a cake donut. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches and drinks. Oh yeah, be sure and check in on Yelp. When I was there and checked in there was a coupon for a free donut with a $3 purchase. Great deal! Bumblebee, you're A-OK with me!

Dozen glazed & cake donuts.

I decided to pick up a dozen glazed and cake donuts for a birthday party. I got the dozen donuts for $15 flat plus a free one with Yelp check-in. Since I came a bit late in the evening, there weren't as many options but still able to try a variety. The donuts are your classic donut shop donuts, but I do like that they have heart donuts year-round, which is useful to know. Note the shop is just labeled Donuts inside the plaza. Also, there is a 75cent charge with credit card.

Their donuts are super soft and made fresh daily! I've been coming here for years and they treat me like family always giving us free donut holes or even full donuts! I want to highlight their ice cream because their rainbow sherbet is my go to. Its a very quiet little shop with plenty of seating, perfect place to chill after a long day!

Who cares about donuts? Stop in for a delicious sandwich. This one is Turkey with everything!

Get a sandwich from here! You'll be part of the secret club that knows you can get a damn tasty sandwich on a croissant or sub roll for a great price. Yes, they have breakfast sandwiches too! Hooray for breakfast sandwiches. Okay, let's not get all carried away with your breakfast sandwich enthusiasm. So the reason I know this place is called Bumblebee donuts is because of Yelp. The sign out front just says DONUTS. If you are next to a Smart & Final you are in the right place. Thank your lucky stars. Go eat! Donuts are good too! You get a free one if you spend $3 and check in on Yelp. They have Boba and Ice Cream too. God bless America!

*** Happy National Donut Day *** OVERALL This small shop in Montebello, CA, delivers delicious donuts and offers breakfast croissants alongside a delectable iced coffee. ENVIRONMENT Located near a Smart & Final. The first thing I noticed about this place was that the sign out front doesn't read "Bumblebee Donuts." I'm an advocate of matching. The saving grace is that the street number is visible and parallels the address on Yelp. This must be a hot spot for lottery tickets and scratch offs. They have a nice scratch off machine inside and a celebratory wall of winners next to a small "Yelp loves us" section. SERVICE Very kind people. They get you in, get you out quick. MY FAVORITE PART... The donuts are mouthwatering. No weird oily taste. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The lack of signage. Lol. It's Gemini season. I'm a Gemini. In most instances, rationality is a strong trait. Others, not so much. THE GRUB My girls and I picked out 6 donuts that came out to $6. My medium iced coffee was $3.75. See my tip below on how to get a free donut (as of 6/3/21). PARKING Ample free parking in the plaza lot. TIPS + Yelp checkin for "one free donut with $3 and over purchase." + Cash is accepted. | Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Environment: 4 | Price: 4.5 |

Great hidden donut spot. Donuts are soft, coffee is strong, and the ham and cheese jalapeño croissant is spot on!

Went to Vida Pura and got their breakfast burrito. It's been on my bucket list for a while, and…read moreneedless to say, it was definitely worth it. I'm glad I finally got around to trying it. I loved the avocado and hash brown combination, and the salsa that came with it paired really well, a little kick with it. The portion size was great and definitely filled me up. The service was fast, but seating is pretty limited since it's mainly outdoors. Parking can be a little rough because it's street parking only, and it was pretty full when I came on a Saturday morning. I would definitely come back. I also saw that they make coffee and matcha drinks, and they all looked really good, so I'd definitely come back to try that next time!

Vida Pura is a Latina-owned plant based cafe located in the heart of East LA. It was formerly a…read morevegan food truck and eventually became the current brick-and-mortar cafe. [Parking]: Free small public parking lot directly across from the shop. [Amenities]: This is a really small coffee shop with no indoor tables and only two small outdoor tables. No restroom is available. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are the Breakfast Burrito, Teddy Bear (double espresso, agave, housemade vanilla cold foam, Teddy Grahams), and Banana Nut. All drinks are made with oat milk. Please note that the kitchen closes at 1 PM on Monday - Tuesday and 2 PM on Wednesday- Sunday even though the cafe remains open for another 1 - 2 hours. Come early for anyone wanting to try kitchen items like breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich. *** Banana nut (double espresso, house made vanilla cold foam, house made banana syrup - medium $7.50): It came with two banana chips. The cold foam was quite underrated and I could taste a hint of banana flavor. The drink wasn't as sweet as I had expected - I liked it. Breakfast burrito (Refried beans, soyrizo, tofu scramble, crispy hashbrowns and sliced avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla - $13.50): Portion wasn't huge, but it also wasn't small enough to finish in one sitting. It had one of the softest texture for breakfast burritos. The soyrizo was very flavorful. It also came with a side of salsa - quite spicy but flavorful at the same time. *** I probably still prefer meat-based breakfast burritos, but their soyrizo breakfast burrito is quite good and the coffee drink is excellent (4.5-star for both items). I would definitely recommend this small coffee shop for a quick grab-and-go.
