They did such a great job on my dress, and they had It ready in 4 days since I needed It for a wedding that weekend. So kind and accommodating. I went in and they had me try on the dress and asked what I needed altered. I wanted It about 6 inches shorter in length and I needed the straps adjusted. (Hint for anyone getting a dress altered, make sure you wear the shoes you plan on wearing with the dress for the most accurate alterations!) I liked how she checked in with me multiple times to make sure I was satisfied with the proposed alterations. I didn't feel rushed at all. The process took less than 10 minutes and I paid the day of the fitting. She also offered that I could pay at pick up if I wanted, so It's nice to know that's an option. Prices were pretty standard. $90 for the length and straps. In my experience that's within the normal range for alterations on a fancy dress. I went in to pick up and the process was seamless (no pun intended :) ) I highly recommend them for gowns, and from the looks of their store, they must do a great job on suits as well! You're working with someone who genuinely understands classic menswear, tailoring, and proportion, and who has an excellent tailor on the premises. That combination is incredibly rare. In my experience, many made-to-measure programs are primarily sales-driven. The person taking your measurements may be very personable, but often doesn't have a deep understanding of garment construction, fit, or how to modify a pattern to achieve a specific look. This experience was completely different. Every detail was discussed thoughtfully, and there was never any hesitation when I wanted to customize the pattern. Whether it was the lapel shape, shoulder expression, button stance, sleeve pitch, trouser cut, or other details, every request was taken seriously and executed exactly as I envisioned. I'm probably one of the pickiest clients anyone could have when it comes to tailoring. I have extremely high expectations for fit, and I've even had made-to-measure programs tell me they couldn't produce the result I was looking for because my standards were beyond what they felt comfortable promising. This time, the suit arrived exactly as I wanted it. Remarkably, I didn't need a single alteration. That has never happened to me before. But even after having I tailored at Tangs, the over all cost was less than the original retail price of the jacket ($250), yet now is a perfect fit. There is seriously something to having your clothes fit you instead of the mannequin. (previous review below) Fast efficient friendly service, a great experience. After having fair to midland tailoring from suit shops, I decided to purchase a couple of suits that would need tailoring but did not get the suit shop's tailor. Instead this time I decided I would spend the extra money to have the suits tailored by a specialist. It turned out to be a great decision. Best fit I have ever had since I bought a custom suit when I was in my 20s. My fitting was not only accurate, but educational. Ms. Byrom's expert eye applied, offered that the suit jacket would be best fitted by rotating the arms, adjusting the sides, the back, the length. It was what I considered a renovation... it just happened to use the same material. When I noted this, Ms. Byrom said, "well, that's exactly how you should buy your suits... by the material" and she proceed to educate me on the art of tailoring. It was fascinating, even with tips on where and most importantly *when* to by suits and what labels to watch which use the best materials. The fitting seemed to be over before I noticed. When a suit fits well, you can "feel" it. I really didn't want to wear my other suits afterwords. (I have a couple of jackets that need Ms. Byrom's attention now...) In wearing the rebuilt suites, I have received a number of complements from both men and women. There are times when looking your best really counts. A great haircut, some svelte shoes polished to perfection, a well-cut suit tailored by Tang's and you can't go wrong.

Well, when it finally arrived, it looked like someone had painted it on to my body. I could hardly breathe, let alone anticipate moving around or enjoying myself. Thankfully I came across Chris' website- "Stephen The Tailor". I quickly booked an appointment. Chris was kind, funny, and welcoming to me and my (now) wife. He put us both at ease, helping navigate all that needed to happen. Neither one of us imagined that the suit that was delivered would be salvaged. Chris, must have taken every stitch out of this three piece to reconstruct the perfect tuxedo for me. I still cannot identify what he retooled. Easily the mark of a true craftsman and expert tailor. The photos speak for themselves. It was the perfect outfit for the perfect day. The dry cleaning alone was flawless (my wife was wishing that's where she took her dress prior to our wedding)!
