Great and fast service! Definitely coming back! I loved how our waitress, Brooke, made it a priority to check up on my son and making sure he was taken care of. The dining experience was worthwhile!!! read more

I've been coming here for many years now. This is the best breakfast place ever. So many options and very nice staff. The owners are so welcoming. They renovated not too long ago and the place looks so nice. This place is always so clean. Eveeyrhongnis always organized read more

I went here with my BFF for lunch because the reviews were good & because it was a central location. The service was good... we got sat & served quickly. The dishes were dirty... really dirty. There were chunks on the silverware & cups. That should've told us something. But we stayed to eat. The food was decent. However, a few hours later & the BFF is stuck in the bathroom & I'm laying down trying not to throw up. No bueno! read more

This place has been my favorite breakfast place over the past 9 years, the salads are amazing, the French toast is very fluffy very tasty, skillets are awesome!! the plates are big portions. This place has amazing staff, there's this one man who yells the orders from the kitchen (I think he's a cook) it's not Alexander's if you don't hear him lol the waitresses are always kind and seem to be happy all the time. I've seen the same people work in this place from way back when I first came, Every time I go there it gives me a cozy feeling. Everything is good in this breakfast place, highly recommend it. read more

Food was good, got my order wrong. The young lady at the front has a major attitude problem. Terrible hospitality.

Favorite breakfast spot in town. Quick and great service, waiters always look happy to be there and never get your order wrong. I've been coming here for about a year now and it just gets better every time. I can tell the chefs take pride in their food and put a lot of love into it, makes you feel at home. Clean and modern looking place. If your in a 10-15 mile radius don't waste your time anywhere else, this is the spot to be in! read more

Look, I wanted to love this place. 5 minute walk from my house, revamped dining room, hometown feel...alas while my in house meals have been pretty good, carry-out has been a disaster. First 2 orders I had to walk back to correct, but... Last take-order was for 1 egg scrambled w/ corned beef hash. I received a 1 egg fried(I hate egg whites, which is why I know I ordered scrambled) with corned beef hash that had no salt or pepper in it, its basic seasoning to any dish. Hash browns were limp with no seasoning. It just should be a better tasting place, especially since I was charged a fee for takeout container. BTW, this cost $9. I was charged for a 2 egg meal, w/o letting me know. Until it gets better at quality or takeout gets accurate, I am not a patron. read more

Alexander's food is always fresh and delicious. The pancakes are yummmy! Coffee is great! It's gets busy especially on Sunday's, sometimes a 10/15minute wait. I've always came in with my baby in her car seat and they always sat us somewhere convenient and cozy despite it being busy. The menu is broad and the prices aren't bad! Plus friendly staff that seems to work together! read more

Not sure what all the hype is. After 2 years of driving by, I finally tried it. Wow. Big disappointment. Ordered ham and eggs. Ham was cold and tasted like it was boiled. Not flavor. No salt. A sin for ham. read more

Very solid breakfast spot. It's in my neighborhood, so I might be biased due to convenience, but this is kind of my go-to breakfast place. 90% of the time I've really enjoyed the food here. Some menu items were kind of a miss for me, but most things I've tried have been really excellent. read more

I asked for steak well-done. What they gave me was burnt steak with very rare middle. It was disgusting! My stomach felt sick. I told the server, and she told her manager who said she couldn't help me. No discount or new meat. No apologies. The steak also had no seasoning whatsoever. Will never come back or bring my family here again. read more

Alexanders is gross. The food taste is decent but I will not be returning because of the poor service and dirty environment. When I went it took our waitress ten minutes to wait us and she wasn't friendly at all. After, we asked for a different coffee mug because the one we originally had was full of lipstick. She rolled her eyes and told us just to clean it off. When I got my soup twenty minutes after ordering it was cold and I found a piece of cardboard in it! I was disgusted. When we told the waitress she didn't even apologize or offer a new one. I was disgusted. Never coming back! read more

Ive always liked Alexander's.I know I can always expect a good, fresh meal at a decent price.Good service everytime I've come here. Not my GO TO breakfast place but that has nothing to do with the food or service. Its that I have my personal places I like to eat at.Besides,YELPING makes it hard to stick to just the same ole same ole. read more

I haven't been here in two years and I remembered why today. The waitress was super nice and I wish I could give her 5 stars all by herself. The owner, however, is a cheap asshole. They have next to nothing for vegetarians, so I just sub out chicken for avocado and I'm fine with it. So I go to order a chicken sandwich with avocado instead and get told there is an up charge. She confirmed it with the owner. I don't care about a dollar or two when I'm adding guac or avocado on something. The problem here is it was a substitution. A cheaper substitution at that. So not only are they making money off of my entree, they're making another dollar off the avocado and saving money off of the chicken they didn't have to put on my sandwich. I will go to Tastee Corner Cafe, Happy Buddah, Connie's, really anywhere else from now on that doesn't rip off their customers. read more

Alexander's is a great place to bring your family. Food is delicious and service from the entire staff is great. Their french toast, skillets, and omelette' are my favorite. read more

Food would have been great! Had they let me go in. I'm currently in the parking lot and I will remain here until my family and friends finish their meal. Why? Because they have a shitty policy that not only must all party member be there right away but they were im told that they wouldn't even give them a chair if I were to come in now! I had to stay in the car due to a medical condition I had to deal with before I could enter and they warned them that all party members MUST BE THERE RIGHT THEN or they would lose the table. What if someone is trying to find parking? Or a mother is breastfeeding? Or someone with a condition comes up? Or you have a call and don't want to be rude to other customers? Honestly management must be horrible for being this rude to even refuse to give a chair. Will they refuse a high chair for a mother who is changing their child in the car too? Don't wait to find out. Eat somewhere else. read more

Typical diner food. Hash and gravy are from a can. It's an ok place. I like the booths as they fit a bigger person. Service is always friendly. read more

Clean pancake house. It has a standard menu for any restaurant specializing in breakfast food. Everything is pretty good, but nothing stands out as great. The service is always good and they know my mother on a first name basis. Also, it's a completely no smoking restaurant. read more

The restaurant has been remodeled, or I should say, updated to a modern, wide open dining area. The tables and booths have ample elbow space, very clean and fast service as usual. The food arrived really quick. The coffee was extremely good, the OJ is fresh squeezed. My steak and eggs.... perfect read more

Well....i am a pretty nice person than ended up in a truck stop instead of a breakfast place. Food is cold, the wait staff is even colder, the food tasted like its been warmed up over and over and over again. Stay clear away unless you need to detox and I don't mean in a healthy sort of way. So lets get specific, we walked in and we were seated right away with a little sarcasm on the side...I am not sensitive, it was funny. When we ordered the menu nearly broke my wrist....its ok to change the menu, nut NOT just add to it. The booth was dirty, and the table wobbled. We made our breakfast orders because most dirty whole in the walls a great eats! WRONG! food came to the table and my grits were old and cold, eggs were warm and hard, and my sausage reminded me of the puck at the Blackhawks game. BOTH THUMBS DOWN!!!!! read more

I almost missed out on this gem because I scanned through a review who rated it not one of the best breakfast places. Phew! I am glad I still found it. Service was extremely fast! My order was at my table within 10 minutes of ordering.. The place was busy and full, therefore, I was even more impressed with their times. Kudos to the kitchen staff! We ordered skillets, Meets Lover and the Alexanders Special. Both were great, and I would order all over again. The pancakes were not great. They were dry and felt like they did not come out fresh, I'll give them another try though. Price wise not bad. read more

I used to like this place but not anymore! I've found a hair in my food in two different occasions and my coffee was served in a cup that had red lipstick all over! So that's telling me that they are not paying attention and they are not making sure stuff is clean! Never going back to this place! read more

Great food, awesome staff. Love the remodel. Have been going here for over 15 years and never had a bad experience.

It is a really great diner/breakfast spot right in Berwyn. Me and my fiance' go there every other Sunday. We always have the cream of chicken soup. It's awesome! They have some of the most delicious potato pancakes there as well. I've tried their pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious as well (though sadly they are seasonal as they only make them every year for Halloween and such). Every single time I go there, I have the Spartan Omelette. I definitely recommend it! The food is pretty darn good there. However, the only thing I would have to put a con on would be the customer service. Some of the ladies there lack customer service skills that would make the dining experience great. I know, I know. People might be thinking, "So what? It is just a diner, and this restaurant is not a downtown, Michelin Star eatery".. Regardless, this is a customer service based place that should give great customer service, no matter the recognition. I have had 2 waitresses there that I think would of needed a few pointers on how to take care of a patron/s and making it right for them. To be specific, in both instances, the 2 waitresses have given us (me and my fiance') a bit of snarky attitudes, and also they would spend a bit more time on other tables, who had the same needs as us might I add. Perhaps the waitresses knew the other patrons, but that still is not acceptable. I will give it 3 stars for now. If the restaurant reads this, and works on the customer service, and I see it the next time I'm around, I'll change it. read more
