Very surprised with this place, as the reviews have been very mixed. My experience was nothing but good. I ordered through Uber Eats, and my order came right on time. The pizza was hilariously huge. I had never ordered a 24-inch pizza, and I guess my brain did not process what that actually meant, but the first thing I said when I saw it is, wow, I can feed my whole community. For the price, it's so much pizza, you will have leftovers for days, especially if your family is not huge. The topping was delicious (sausage). I also ordered a gyro, which was delish. I will start by saying I order from here almost every week, they are located close to where I'm living at the moment and I would prefer my money be spent at a small business than at a big chain. They used to be great, the service was amazing and they treated it like you visited their home kitchen. Their "restaurant " area is small with two small tables to eat at. The pizza is good not the greatest I have ever had but far better than the big chains, the thin crust can be cooked "regular " or crispier, and they do include a decent amount of toppings. Pasta wasn't great seems very canned sauce thrown together. The salads are fresh and crisp, the wings are probably my favorite. They charge for EVERYTHING, may as well buy your own parmesan and chili flakes because for three pizzas they gave me 4 tiny packets of each and looked at me like I was robbing them blind when I asked for a few more. Don't order online through an app 75% of the time they don't even know you ordered until you arrive then you have to wait eliminating the convenience of ordering ahead of time. Sadly tonight my previous experiences were over shadowed but a very frustrating experience, I ordered two pizzas a cheese and a meat lovers. I didn't check the pizza (my fault ) they gave me an "Alexander's" which has all the toppings bell peppers onions mushrooms etc. I called and apparently talked to a call center ( the 702 number she said isn't them and I have to ask for the kitchen to be transferred to someone at the location ? ) They told me that they would have the correct pizza for me in 15 min. To bring the wrong one back and they would exchange it. I arrived around 20 min later and the lady in the store didn't speak enough English to understand the situation. She called another lady who spoke to me over the phone. "Please wait there I will be there in a minute " she arrived and then had me explain all over again and then I still had to wait for them to make and cook the pizza. Super frustrating. We've been loyal customers of Alexander's for years--ordering consistently 3-4 times a month, usually via Uber Eats or Grubhub. Since those platforms don't allow us to add requests for extras like ranch, we were excited to finally order through Slice, where we could customize our order more easily. Unfortunately, our experience last night was incredibly disappointing. We ordered a 2-liter Dr Pepper (Order #13xxxxx79, Sat July 26 at 9:29 PM) but instead received Coke, which I cannot drink due to it causing severe stomach issues. We immediately contacted Slice and sent photos clearly showing the incorrect item. At the time, they said they were unable to reach the restaurant but would follow up in the morning. When we didn't receive any follow-up, I contacted Slice again and was told the restaurant was sorry but refused to authorize any compensation or refund, despite the mistake. Slice emphasized that the funds go directly to the restaurant, and only Alexander's could approve a refund--but they refused. I have screenshots from both chat conversations with Slice to confirm this along with screenshots of my order. I also attempted to contact Alexander's directly and was told the manager had just left. When I was trying to share the situation and that they were losing a long-time customer, the female who answered the phone put me on hold, then not long after the call was disconnected. At this point, it feels like that was done intentionally. This wasn't about a $3.99 soda--it's about how a business treats long-standing customers when they make a mistake (or any customer actually whether it's their first order or 100th). A simple acknowledgment and refund or credit would have gone a long way as this was your mistake. Instead, the poor handling of this situation has cost you a loyal customer (which in the long run you probably didn't even care). The first time I ordered from here, it was delivery. The pizza was piled with toppings and delicious. The next time, I sent someone over to carry out and they tried to tell him a higher price than what was advertised on their website and say to him that it's not updated. How unprofessional! Update your website to reflect the correct pricing and not cheaper, then be shady and tell us a higher price! NOT how you do business. However today I was charged twice on 2 separate cards after they claimed I canceled payment on the first charge. Despite showing that both charges went through and were charged on both accounts they continued to say that I canceled the first charge. Do not order for delivery if you want your order to be correct. This last experience was my final chance I'm giving them. This now makes 4 straight orders where a super simple order was incorrect. I order the same thing each time. Spaghetti with meat sauce and add meatballs as well. First time they gave me a separate container of just meatballs no sauce or anything and charged me like ten extra dollars. 3 out of my last 4 orders my salad dressing was forgot so now I get salads no dressing. The last thing that really blows my mind that I can not believe they can't get right is each time i specifically ask to be sure to put packets of Parmesan cheese in my bag and this last time I spoke to the woman taking my order and I explained to her my order was wrong the last 3 times. I was very nice about it but I did say I just would like my order to be correct this time because a 4th straight time of having a bad order is going to be the last time I will order from them. She assured me the packets of Parmesan would be in there and I'd have spaghetti with meat sauce with meatballs included in the pasta . Well guess what? She lied to me because I got marinara sauce instead of bolognese sauce, ANNNNNNND after explaining the important of Parmesan packets makes my meal betteri was given crushed red pepper packs and zero Parmesan . So basically I was lied to . I was reassured she would overlook my order and make sure it was correct and it once again for the 4 th straight time was wrong . I hadn't been to Alexander's Pizza in a while, so the other night I thought that I'd give them another try, since they didn't impress me the first time. I ordered the white pizza and garlic bread with cheese and the white pizza just flopped around, had absolutely no flavor, not even garlic and I was given regular garlic bread instead of garlic bread with cheese and it was swimming in oil and it too had absolutely no flavor, not even garlic. A white pizza is suppose to have sun dried or tomatoes, olive oil, feta, provolone, seasoned ricotta, mozzarella and fresh basil on it, plus a garlic base and onions, but I'm not a fan of onions, so when I'm back home I order my white pizza without onions. Garlic bread is supposed to ward off Vampires and the slices are supposed to be a decent size and if you get garlic bread with cheese, the mozzarella is suppose to be dripping off of it. I know my Italian food because I'm part Italian among other things and what I got from Alexander's Pizza and took home was a travesty to my taste buds. This place used to be good place to order for my family but the last 2 orders have been a nightmare. First order took over 2 hours and I let this slide. Second order my wife and I went through hell. First the order was just under 3 hours late. Second the food was ice cold. Third we called to get this fixed and compensated for our wait and food being cold but was hung up on so we called again and got hung up on again called a third time the girl working there said to call back tomorrow to speak with manager. So my wife calls in the morning and the same girl answers and says the manager still isn't there and they she should call Slice app. She calls Slice App and they say she needs to talk to the store which we already did. Slice app calls the store and says they can't do nothing about it because we didn't contact them the day it happened. Which was a flat out lie because we did call 3 times where she proceeded to put us on hold which resulted in us being hung up on. At the end we were told we would 15% off next order which wasn't acceptable to us because we plan on never ordering from them again so they give us 15% of our money back from our order. I like this place. It's good enough for the price and convenient if you live right around the corner like most of their customers. The pizza is more flavorful than the rest of the menu items if you ask me. Still good but like I said, pizza is their specialty and that's what I've learned to stick with. The other items are large portions. What I've noticed from reading all of the negative reviews is the very thing they all have in common is the undercooked chicken wings.
