We finally found the best pizza in Las Vegas after extensive search of all the pizza joints. We finally settled on pizza rock the third street. They have an assortment of sizes and the large the big one is really big! We've ordered online and over the phone several times and we've been able to get the pizza exactly the way we like it. They offer thick crust, thin crust, and an assortment of toppings.. Each time the service was great. The pizza was hot crispy and the toppings were on point when we were going down there to pick up the pizza we stepped inside and the place was buzzing. The staff was very nice although we didn't meet the people that made the pizza the people at the counter were very nice. Got our pizza right to us and got us off the door. I have not had a chance to dine in yet but at some point, I look forward to doing that as well! Checking out Pizza Rock in Downtown Las Vegas. Ordered a New York-style pizza to share between four people. It is 16 inches and loaded with a ton of toppings. This was a different concept for a pizza place! Instead of focusing on one kind of pizza like most places, Pizza Rock offers many different crusts and cook times/temps. You can get anywhere from Neapolitan to New York style, Detroit Style, thin crust, even "Grandma style". Our server gave us a little overview of the menu options to help us understand the difference between the types of pizza better, which I thought was nice. We ordered the calamari and the Cal Italian pizza. We were able to order the calamari half regular/half Calabrese so it had a tiny bit of spice to it. Portion was big. Calamari was nothing special, but it was still pretty good. The Cal Italian was a great pizza! Even though it was a sauceless pizza (and I normally like a saucy pizza), I really enjoyed it a lot. The many different cheese types from Asiago to Gorgonzola and parmigiano-reggiano, coupled with the sweetness of the fig and balsamic glaze and the saltiness of the prosciutto, came together so nicely. And the crust was nice and crisp, no floppiness to it which I prefer. One thing you'll notice when you first walk in is they have a full size semi truck in the building. Great decoration and definitely is a conversation point. We decide to sit at the bar with our pizzas. I had the caliente.... Was not expecting it to be as spicy as it was, but it was a darn good pizza. Washed it down with a nice beer from the bar and it was the perfect meal for a Saturday night. Was it the best pizza I ever had? No, it wasn't. Was it the worst pizza that I've ever had in my life? No, it wasn't. But I will say it was a good pizza and was the perfect thing I was looking for when we were walking around Fremont Street. Bottom line? Everything was delicious! We tried all the appetizers (at least 4), and they were done to tasty perfection! We thought we were going to be too full for pizza but ordered a small one anyway and devoured that as well! I would never guess a pizza place could do greens beans and fried artichokes so well. The waiter stopped by and took drink orders, their margaritas are tall and tasty. We started with Calamari, it was well prepared and the portion was huge. Came here because we had been searching for a great pizza place in Vegas and Pizza Rock is often mentioned as the top pizza place in Vegas. We came to the downtown one and parked in a nearby lot. They have a takeout area, the slices are quite expensive $7-8/slice and the menu is sometimes different from what they serve in the restaurant. I made a reservation via Google. That is recommended if you want to come during a busy time. We were very confused by the menu, there are literally every kind of pizza you can imagine. On top of that, our server was not very good at explaining or provide recommendations. We ended up getting the Romana two pizza since they come with 3 flavors. It says that it feeds up to 5, that is a severe overstatement. My husband who eats a lot can probably finish it if he was really hungry. You cannot select flavors for the romano pizza. We liked the ricotta flavor the most. At this point, we were not that impressed and this is quite far for us so we also got some slices to make sure we gave Pizza Rock a good try before we decide to never come back again. I got the grandma of the day, a calabrian chili one to go. The grandma pizza dough was not particularly special, but it has honey. I liked the Calabrian chili one, it had a slightly crispy crust, the toppings were delicious, but I could not find it on the menu so that was annoying... However they don't even seem to care if tourists enjoy the locations as the staff is rude to EVERYONE. It was a weekday in the afternoon so not busy at all. Only real issue was I when I paid (it's on an app) it had my card an error so I went to "try again," and while in that process, our server said the computer showed we were paid up and good to go. When I said I had received an error, he said "oh it does that, I don't know why. But you're good." Very frustrating that we weren't told that beforehand because I could have paid twice!!!
