Hired Alex and his team to come out and remove 14 palm trees, and a dead pepper tree from our property, as well as clearing at a large willow stump and debris from in front of our large culverts. His team was here the following week, and they did an absolutely fantastic job. All palms removed down to the stump, pepper tree removed, and they managed to get that giant willow stump removed from my culvert. Alex and his crew are great. He came out within 2 hours and gave me a good quote on 1 large tree and 1 extra large tree. He was able to come out the next day and got everything done that day. Took them approximately 6 hours to finish the job. They cut down both trees and cleared all debris and even cleaned up all the fallen leaves and twigs. He used a grinder to dig 2 feet down and mulch the stump and all major roots while being cautious of sprinkler lines. Any roots close to structures they cleared by hand and back filled the hooded with the mulch. There was VERY little unavoidable damage to hedges and bushes nearby but nothing that won't grow back. It was supposed to rain today and it did, intermittently. Nonetheless, Alex showed up as planned with his colleague Lupe and removed 6 trees, cleared bushes on the canyon, trimmed a very tall hedge with perfection. All this is about 8 hours. Stumps were ground, debris were raked and blown. The house looks great. As a note, he is insured and licensed, and his rates are reasonable. I received a response quickly. Scheduled for 8-8:30 on Thursday. After I messaged them, they arrived at 9:30. I asked for chipping services with images included. They arrived with a stump grinder. Clearly I needed to be rescheduled. I was told they would come back with a chipper on Saturday. Not a problem, until they didn't show up. I messaged again and got no response. We had two beautiful but invasive Tipuana trees in our front yard that needed to be evaluated. Alex got back to me within 10 minutes of my initial message, and was able to come for a consultation within 2 hours. Since we'd hoped to save the trees, he took a look at the roots and considered the maturity of the trees to help with a cost-benefit analysis of attempting to install a root barrier vs. removing the trees. Due to potential damage to our foundation and the city water lines near a fire hydrant, we had to make the difficult decision to remove the trees. Alex was patient while we made our choice, and was quick to schedule removal once second, third, and fourth opinions confirmed that removal was the responsible choice. Not reliable at all!!!!! I had a scheduled quote with them and they never showed up and didn't say a word, I asked what happened and they said they had trouble with their yelp account. I gave them a second chance after they gave me their phone number was told they would come the next day at 12:30. Once again, didn't show up and when I asked about where is the quote no response. I've texted multiple times and nothing. Again, reliable is not their strong suit whatsoever. It's one thing to not show up but to not even acknowledge why or respond is quite rude. read more
