Avoid this company. Frankly, If there were negative review, I would give it to this company. Our restaurant got break in last Friday night around 2 clock in the morning, we received their phone call until 8 clock in the morning. Moreover, it was a resident passing our business called the police office that we got break in. of course, we called their customer service, they sent a technician to our place and did the investigation. What they found out was that the equipment had been installed failure or function properly. So that is why when we saw the burglar smashing our computer for few minutes in the surveillance, and the alarm did not do anything. We called the company a week ago and told them the truth and gave them police report case number in order to help them to give us a good explanation, but we are so disappointed about this company. Why? Because until a week later, today, the company told us that we, as their customer, we need to make sure the system in our restaurant works properly, but I need to ask them "why" and how, because when the first day we installed their system, they did not even told us about these. Worst service I've ever had! My house got broken into recently and the alarm NEVER triggered to go off! My whole window was shattered to the point where the intruder pulled the whole thing up to get inside my home. I was under the impression that I had signed up for "glass break sensors" when I initially signed my contract and it turns out the guy that came to install the alarm never activated my windows! When I contacted the company about the incident, they brought a tech out to check on all the connections from the alarm panels to the sensors and it turns out I never had the glass break sensors activated in the first place. The company gave me the excuse that the guy who installed my house, assumed my windows were "prewired" which is why he didn't even bother to check them. My house was a BRAND NEW HOUSE! All he did was put sensors on my doors! Ever since the robbery, all I've wanted was to cancel my contract and get my money back but instead I'm being offered to get "locked in" on a longer term with a lower rate and only have a "partial" of my deductible covered. Oh...and not to mention they also FORGED my signature on the original contract as well! I am BEYOND livid with the service I've received thus far. I'm very disappointed with this company. I have had problems with the cameras since the system was installed over a year ago....they have come off of the wifi 3 times since I've had them and I was on the phone for over an hour and a half the first time, while they tried to explain to me what to do to reconnect the cameras. I pay over $70 a month. Apparently, their contracts do not include servicing the equipment if something goes wrong. You have to pay to have techs come out to fix if there is a problem. My biggest complaint though, is that my contract says I am getting fire/smoke monitoring but the original installer never put in the equipment to do this. I talked to a manager on Thursday that said he would look into this but never called me back. I asked if I could pay a penalty fee to get out of the contract and they don't do this. I have 20 months left on a contract that doesn't provide the services I'm paying for. UPDATE: Jimmy from management called me back and discussed the problems I was having. A tech came today and installed the smoke detectors and the cameras are working. I really appreciate the way Jimmy handled the situation and corrected the problems, and most of all listened to my concerns. The tech they sent (Dexter) was extremely courteous, efficient, and helpful. Thank you Jimmy for your professionalism and taking care of your customers. read more

Would not recommend. As they say a fool and their money are soon parted. Was auto renewed for a year long contract after a 3 year term expired and told I had no choice but to pay out the contract when I moved. Received no notice written or other wise. Two different service reps asked for my email despite having it on file ( they were able to confirm all of my other information.) . The company structure is designed to lock you in, make it hard to cancel and keep auto drafting, don't be a fool like I was. There are much better services with better prices and far more flexibility. Vote with your dollar and choose companies with more ethical practices and customer friendly policies. read more

Central Security Group saves the day. This group went way above and beyond to fix my original challenge with Smith Monitoring. Their tech came out 3 times to install the free keypad that the provided and to fine tune some glitches in the system. While I originally thought they were just like everyone else, they proved me wrong in the best of ways. read more

Just had a terrible customer service experience with dispatch claiming our alarm had gone off. We were at home at the time, no alarm sounded and they called both of our cell phones about the alarm. When we told them there was no alarm they would not accept our request to not dispatch even though our panel showed no record of an alarm at any time today and we were both there. read more

We moved into a house that already had their system in it so we gave it shot. We immediately started having trouble with it. I'm an Electrician and I can tell you this system is complete junk! When they finally came out a year or so later they tricked my wife into signing a 3 yr contract with them just for fixing the system. They make it out like you're just signing a service receipt. So, they can't stand just on the quality of their system and their customer service. They have to trick you into contract for 3 yrs so you when you find out how crummy they are you can't leave. Now we're moving and the people who are buying the house tried to get the system in their name and CSG was going to charge them some crazy switch over fee and up the monthly fees to $45 a month. We warned them how crummy they were. Jimmy, the guy that responds to the reviews on here, calls himself a manager but he's actually a guy that CSG hired just to take care of all the bad reviews on the internet. He'll make it seem like he's concerned on here but he's fishing for ways to get your review taken down by Yelp for some technicality. A couple of months ago this page was full of bad reviews and I highly doubt doubt any of the good ones are actually customers. Stay away from this company! Buy a $300.00 camera system , a dog and you'll be way better off. read more

I had them do install at my previous house and everything went fine. Then I had them come back to the new house and after countless calls they finally install a portion of what I had ordered. They completely dropped the ball. There was terrible communication or just none at all. I was completely ignored and I'm a paying customer. I would never do business with them again. If I could give zero stars, I would. Locked me into a 5 year contract paying outrageous prices. Response time to alarms has been horrible at times. When I first signed up, it was under the Alarm Guys, but then when I'm billed, it was apparently given to Central Security Group (or they work together). A year or so ago, I called the company because the machine was malfunctioning. The person I spoke to said they don't do service calls, and I probably had to just change the battery which I was told I had to do myself...then the guy HUNG UP ON ME without any explanation as to how I was supposed to do it correctly. Lucky my husband figured it out. I am still being suffocated by this five year contract, and there is no way out. We recently moved and were forced to move our contract to the new house. I asked what the penalty was for breaking the contract (because I really was ready to do that!), and the lady said they would continue to take money from my account for the remainder of the 5 years whether I used that service or not. THEN she said I had to EXTEND my contract 36 months because we moved!! In addition to having to extend my contract (which I think it absolutely deplorable...they are sure to take my money out of my account every single month, so I know I pay), the representative wants me charge me extra fees to move the service to our new house. I ABSOLUTELY HATE the way this company runs their business. Choose ANYONE else to receive services through. I have never been so unhappy with a service in my entire life! read more

I used Central Security Group for a little over two years of a three contract. I sold my home and contacted CSG reference #1025 and paid the balance of my contract which was $272.16 and a $25 dollar cancellation fee along sending in a cancellation notice. This was around Jan. 2014. I was told that this would take care of my cancellation. No worries. Not! I have not heard from this company until now late October 2016. I have received a lot of voice mail messages to contact them. I returned their call only to find out they were trying to tell me my contract was never cancelled. They asked me if I had proof of the cancellation and I gave them the reference # and stated they couldn't pull up the reference. After I asked to speak to a supervisor they send me to someone named Drake extension #31465 and he proceeds to tell me he is not a supervisor. He then threatens me that this will affect my credit if I do not pay up, to which I have excellent credit and refuse to have it damaged by this company. I have copies of the cancellation letter I sent in along with the paid in full total amount. When I asked why they waited until now to contact me, considering my email or phone has not changed, he couldn't answer. This is the biggest scam I have ever heard of. This is illegal and I am reporting this not only to the BBB, I will hand this over to my lawyer. This is the worst form of unscrupulous acts of deception that a company could perform. I am glad that I do keep all of my paperwork for years to come. You never know when a company will turn into a bottomless loathsome company to bully people into paying money that they do not owe. Nathan and someone named Nicole in billing are the ones leaving these voice mails. Do not trust this company and do not sign any contracts from this company. Very bad business practice, trying to collect money to those of us who went through correct channels to cancell our contract. I cancelled mine eight months early, with the proper documentation. I will continue to spread this message until their practices are corrected. I work with contracts on a daily basis and I read the small print and follow instructions to a t. My husband and I have had Central Security for 5 years on our home and are very satisfied with the customer service. Today, we had some maintenance performed in our house to our system by a technician. The doorbell rang and the nicest, most polite and professional man came to my door from Central Security. John Brown was our technician and I cannot say enough nice things about him. He was very efficient yet not rushed, polite, friendly, and I felt secure knowing he was checking our system to make sure it was all functioning properly. He even went above and beyond to fix my alarm key chain fob that had broken. He completed all the work and on top of all of that, he was so sweet to my 2-year-old daughter as she wouldn't leave him alone while he was trying to work until I wrangled her out of his way. He was courteous and professional and I am so glad he helped me today. Thank you Central Security! read more
